LFG Anyone looking for a trooper?

So I know that the TL has been around for a bit now, if these ground forces are only just now being formed then what was used before them?

Generic defense forces mostly, privateers, contractors, civilian volunteers. We’ve mostly only done space based operations so far.

Well there are the usual major players on the map who I'm sure all would love to have a dedicated trooper character being fielded. If I ever un-retire Bellum, the 13th Umbral Legion may tickle your fancy if I ever dust it off.

I don't actually know anything about RPing a soldier/trooper though. But I have Django a Ranger background, so I want to give it a shot. Still want to do Rescue Service with him as well.

There's also Knight, Rogue Knight, Dark Jedi Knight, and Force Adept if you want to portray being on the level of a Jedi Knight without actually being one. Depending on your background.

Oh my bad. That was mostly at Django Parata .

Here’s our current write up for the JSC. I’m trying to draw a lot on the uniqueness and smaller units from Legends, especially Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War, so a lot of the small lore stuff from the old RPG sourcebooks. Use those a base, essentially, because a lot of that lore is what makes the region so particularly interesting to me. Sons and Daughters of Freedom, Dorvalla Space Corps, Churhee’s Rifles, the Spice-Blades. So if anything ever catches your interest, feel free to run with it.

I would suggest the GADF naturally, if a disciplinary army is your goal. They have some plots coming soon.

I’m also working on a frontline special forces unit akin to Ghost Recon that’s based from Abregado-rae, but if that’s too niche, I’d certainly go for GADF’s army. Especially considering the potential for GA/SO war, or stories with the Mandos
