LFG Any Interest in a Dark Jedi Group?

I had made a dark jedi order before the merge. It seemed to go well but it kinda fell apart when we merged over. Maybe some of those writers are still on board though.


Guess we need a name to reflect that its a coming together of dark and light.

What kind of Academy are we talking here?

Because there is the Jedi Coalition which is just any vaguely related force user in the Outer Rim, who have a slew of different temples that you could easily use. You then have The Jedi Order which is a Minor Faction where only Jedi and Jedi-Like people hang out. They even have their own Massive Space Temple that can pretty much teleport to anywhere its needed/Escape from hostile forces.

I am not shooting your idea down at all. I think it would be nice to have an actual "Academy" where people can go to train and learn. However, I am pointing these out to you so that you can see how they operate and see if you want to work with them, be part of one or both of these factions, or try to be completely different than them.

Thank you! That is actually super helpful to know what is out there. I don't want to just replicate other things. My idea was sort of a place where dark Jedi and light Jedi could go and learn. We could tell fun school stories. Have a headmaster. Get into shenanigans. That type of thing.

If so, I might have a character to throw in. Not sure if Alkor Centaris would throw in as well considering he is a Jen'Jidai.

Also, I feel like before you even start looking for names, you need to figure out exactly what you are doing. While the concept of "We do fun stuff cus we can" is nice, it doesn't really fill anything out. Do they have a System of Hierarchy? Are their rulers, or is it just "We work together cus we can." And how do they come together in the first place? Is there limiting factors to who can and cant be in?

I did a Dark Jedi Order faction before and I know there was another writer who tried it before that. The issue has always been that dark jedi by nature are solo acts that pursue their own goals. Which is why I thought more of an academy might bring people together and give us all an IC reason for being in the same room.

I hate to be playing devil's advocate against you. Honestly, I really would like to see a successful Dark Jedi/Rogue Jedi Faction. I want to clear that up now. I do want to see it on the board, and even be a part of it. However, the many times I have been in Dark Jedi Factions, they fail due to the nature of just being thrown together without a real plan. In which I am trying to help facilitate so that it gives you a leg up.

I am more than willing to help out, or just shut up and stay on the side lines if that is what you need. lol

The current Characters I would likely throw your way are

• Zna-Abaroth
• Chaaj Priest
• Ignatius

All three of which are either "Dark Jedi." All could be considered "outcasted" by various people, or just choose to be alone.

We could go with an outcast Jedi order or rogue Jedi order type of feel. We should probably first figure out if it's going to be an "order" or an "academy." I lean more towards the academy. We could easily structure out something academic like. For example:

We could have two headmasters. A dark headmaster and a light headmaster. Have various faculty that teach different subjects. Obviously have students. We could develop some sort of training scheme that people move through to advance.

If it helps the Je'daii order was an order built on the balance of Light and Dark, not sure if it already is being used as a faction here but it could be worth looking into if you want to make this acadamy?

That is a great idea. I know we have some je'daii on the board. Let me go see if there is a faction.
