Soon, Damien Cross of the Cross family would arrive to meet him. The goal is to create another string in the ever-growing web of connections between The Empire's royal family, and other influential families, people, and organizations around the galaxy. His marriage to Loreena Arenais made the Arenais family an almost concrete ally, in a month he was to meet with The Silver Jedi Concord to discuss their future, hopefully adding another string to the web. Monkrove was a strand on the web, being the reason Spindle VI even appears as an Imperial world.
Of course, like real webs, sometimes destructive creatures make their way onto it. For The Empire, it's The Dobson family. Arken, Omar, and their children are a constant black stain on the silky white web of connections, and they are continuously spreading their corruption to the rest of the web. The only counters are to sabotage their efforts, while growing The Empire's own connections....and so that is what Rex will do.

King Rex Valhoun stood looking out the window in the diplomatic room with his hands behind his back. He was in deep thought, considering the next steps in to take in The Empire. So far his reforms have been an extreme success, The military is stronger than ever, corruption appears to be down slightly, and trade routes are 35% safer than a month ago. However the young king knows there is more to do. He looked outside, observing the wonderful city of Halbarrow, the capital of Spindle VI. So far his promise to create a golden era on the planet was not successful. Sure, trade was safer, but most of his successes were Empire-wide. Spindle VI still struggles with crime. He let out a sigh as he watched a cloud slide by the floating city. He needed a vacation.
