Private Another Happy Landing

For Eli-Mae the Cockpit of her MC-18 starship had become her home in the six years she had owned the ship she had more or less lived in its lush interior. For the Redhead, she was never more comfortable than when she was seated in the pilot's seat of this ship. The ship had been a gift from her parents when she had decided to strike out on her own. When in her ship there was no telling where she was heading, being a vagabond.

On this particular day, Eli was headed for the Omwat space station lead by a vision she had a few nights prior. This plan went well that was until she attempted to make the final jump. It was then that the alarm system all around the ship began to scream at her. Springing to her feet the lithe ginger quickly pulled the lever to bring the ship out of hyperspace before running to the engine room, this was unlike her ship. Upon reaching the engine room Eli-Mae very quickly recognized the problem, her hyperdrive was smoking and with it, the main engine had begun to sputter.

Knowing that she couldn't fix the issue while in space she took off for the cockpit, as she did she realized that should the engines fail she would be trapped in the gravity well of Geonosis.

Sitting down in her chair Eli tried to pull the ship out of the planets rather large gravity well but it was no use, before long the ship's engines gave out.

As the ship began to tumble toward the planet's surface Eli fought the ships controls trying to level the ship. As soon as it came to her mind she reached up and pulled the lever releasing the flaps on the ship to slow her descent. upon doing this Eli was finally able to level the ship just before it crashed into the surface of the planet knocking Eli out as her head hit the control panel

As luck would have it Taiia was walking through the streets when she heard a noise, she turned her emerald eyes toward the sky quickly scanning, she instantly knew the sound of a straining starship followed by the chilling sound of it being pulled toward the ground. Once located she turned sharply her red hair flaring out as she did and took off in a sprint leaping up a few crates at street level to get onto some nearby rooftops and sprinted across them as she followed the ship for some distance watching as it finally leveled off and then hit the ground she was relived at that, the pilot was good she would give them that. Within only a few minutes of the impact Taiia arrived at the crash site and when she reached the last rooftop before the ship, she lept through the air using the force and landed ever so gracefully on the ship;

Had Eli been awake she probably would not have noticed the person landing on the top of her ship. Taiia carefully walked over to the cockpit and could see that the pilot was unconscious, she dropped to the ground by one of the airlocks and with the force pried the doors open. Stepping inside carefully, unsure of the condition of the ship she ventured in, navigating through the ship toward the cockpit and there she found the young woman unconscious on the console. Taiia moved to her side and quietly assessed her injuries, looked like simple head trauma nothing more serious. She reached up with one hand and placed it on the woman’s forehead, Taiia closed her eyes a moment letting the force flow through her, concentrating on healing any damage she would wake on her own eventually. Then she opened her eyes and began her work on the straps holding her to the pilots chair. Carefully Taiia lifted Eli up before gently pulling one of her arms across her shoulder and carrying her slowly back through the ship and toward the airlock she had opened.

Eli would remain unconscious while the man evacuated her from the ship. This was not the first time that the young woman had crashed this ship. This was just the first time that it had happened when there wasn't someone chasing the small redhead. She loved her ship but it was due for an upgrade to its primary engine and hyperdrive along with its armaments. However, Eli-Mae had been highly reluctant to change anything about it for it was the ship her parents had gifted her upon her decision to leave the nest and spread her wings so to speak.

As soon as the pair exited the ship the small redhead began to stir, she mumbled nonsense about her parents and her training. As she did a fire sparked in the engine room of the ship threatening to spread every which direction, however, the pair needed to worry about their safety, the ship could be replaced. The ship's fire suppression should kick in and douse the fire anyway.

A few moments after the crash the redheads baby blue eyes fluttered open and she spoke: "Wh-who are you?"

Taiia helped her to a nearby rock and let her sit down before she answered she paused a moment evaluating her once in the light to see if there was any trauma that she missed and she offered her fellow redhead a soft smile as her emerald eyes scanned her before returning to meet hers. "My name is Taiia Mataan, how are you feeling? That was quite the crash landing, although well done pulling it up at the last second" fortunately it seemed Taiia's healing ability while not perfect had done enough to take care of the serious damage and she stepped back some.

If she were astute she would notice the lightstaff clasped firmly to Taiia's belt, she glanced back at the ship "Pretty ship, it will need some repair though, luckily Fondor is not far I am sure they will be able to patch it up for you there" she then turned back to Eli-Mae "I take it that it was not you intent to visit us on Geonosis?"
