SPECIAL FEATURES
- Base Band
- Formed from a combination of Beskar and Sarrassian Iron, the base band is quite light for Quinn to wear, no matter what form her helm is in.
- Intricately inscribed onto the inside of the band are special runes that the Lady of Secrets imbued with Spirit Ichor and Sith alchemy to give the helm, whether it is in its concealed form or its true form, a few distinct enchantments:
- Conceal Size - A passive enchantment created from the Lady of Secrets' knowledge of Nightsister magicks that allows Quinn to shift the size of the helm between two different forms: that of a delicate tiara with a black gem at its center with a thorny motif, and that of a helmed crown of a menacing appearance of spikes and obsidian. This enchantment is purely to allow Quinn to easily transport the helm wherever she goes and to have protection on her person at all times, even if an enemy believes they have completely removed her protections.
- Conceal Presence - A passive enchantment of Sith sorcery created from research by Taeli into the ancient artifact known as the Yoke of Seeming. This sorcery obscures the nature of the helm and its wielder, clouding attempts to sense any sort of presence from the helm or master through the Force and giving off false perceptions to almost anyone who probes either of Quinn's choices. Skilled practitioners of Force Sense or incredibly powerful Masters can pierce through this sorcery.
- Ears of the Chiroptix - A passive enchantment of Nightsister origin, the runes are inscribed where the band would rest closest to Quinn's ears. As long as Quinn is wearing the helm, she can hear even the softest whispers within her immediate vicinity and can accurately map her surroundings from how sound interacts with and bounces around an environment.
- Spell of Interpretation - A passive enchantment of Nightsister origin, the runes are inscribed next to the ones where the Ears of the Chiroptix runes are anchoring the spell, ensuring they are near Quinn's ears. As long as Quinn is wearing the helm, she can understand and speak languages that she might overhear within her vicinity. This spell does not grant her actual knowledge of the language, only essentially acting as a translation module for her.
- Spell of Awareness - A passive enchantment of Nightsister origin, the runes are inscribed near where the coronet begins to form. As long as Quinn is wearing the helm, her senses, both physical and Force-based, are expanded and enhanced.
- Glyphs of Resistance - A passive enchantment that combines the Lady of Secrets' knowledge of Force Resistance and Thought Shield, which protects Quinn from mental assault even without her active effort. The enchantment also enhances her own protections when she is actively resisting mental assault, whether they be mentalist Force powers or other phenomena that would affect her mind.
- Coronet
- Much like Asarsi, the central gem of the Coronet is an attuned Echo Stone that has been tied to Quinn's essence, which has been specially enchanted and alchemized by the Lady of Secrets. The Echo Stone, acting as a conduit of the Living Force, amplifies Quinn's connection to the Force and enhances her abilities. The longer Quinn is attuned to the Echo Stone contained within her staff, the stronger that amplification can become, although this is a slow process. In addition, the Lady of Secrets has inscribed runes infused with Spirit Ichor to give the Echo Stone additional enchantments that assist Quinn in her preferred techniques and can be utilized offensively:
- Hollow Nightmare - An offensive enchantment created by the Lady of Secrets by combining the effects of Dreamscape and Force Phantom. When Quinn speaks the incantation and draws upon her connection to the Phobis Core within her, she can trap an enemy within a realistic nightmare landscape of their own fears and populate it with nightmarish corporeal phantoms of those that enemy shares connections to, such as close loved ones, with the Phantoms and Dreamscape being connected to another sentient being of her choice. This enchantment can only be used once a day before requiring a recharge from absorbing ambient Force energies, and can only be used on one individual at a time.
- Waves of Darkness - An offensive enchantment that allows Quinn to cast the Waves of Darkness sorcery through the Echo Stone once a day before requiring the Echo Stone to recharge by absorbing ambient Force energies.
- Forged by Taeli as both a symbol for Quinn's authority and to help protect her further from her enemies, the combination of beskar and sarrassian iron makes Anlad incredibly resistant to energy and kinetic weaponry, along with the usual protection from lightsabers beskar and Sith alchemized metal provides.
- The central Echo Stone allows Anlad to be a powerful focus and amplifier for Quinn's connection to the Force and her powers, and acts as a Sith talisman for Quinn to draw energy from and help fuel the enchantments woven into the helm.
- Several enchantments created through Sith sorcery, alchemy, and Nightsister magick give the wielder additional abilities as long as she or someone of her direct bloodline is wearing the helm.
- Due to the powerful enchantments and Force crystals included in the helm, Anlad has a powerful connection and presence within the Force. If the helm is not worn by Quinn, its concealment and clouding enchantments are deactivated, and it is immediately visible to the Force senses of any even partially trained Force user within the general vicinity, giving away its exact location.
- If an opponent shatters the central Echo Stone or damages the runic structures on the helm through the repeated use of powerful light-side Force powers, the helm can lose augmentations and enchantments tied to those runes or crystals until Quinn or Taeli can replace the crystals or reapply the runes.
- If the helm enters a Force suppression field generated by an ysalamiri or material such as void stone, the helm's ability to channel Quinn's powers is immediately suppressed. In addition, any 'charges' the helm has for its enchantments are immediately drained, and the helm must be recharged through absorbing Force energies to allow them to become active again once the helm and its wielder are outside of the suppression field.
Anlad disguised as a tiara
DESCRIPTION
After forging the spear Asarsi for her apprentice, Quinn Varanin, the young Queen of Eshan had a further request for her Master. Quinn decided she wanted something to better protect her mind and to further enhance her powers, something inconspicuous that could also serve as a badge of her station and her accomplishments. Quinn was adamant that it would prove useful as the Sith Order and Sith Covenant began to move against the Jedi, and Taeli agreed and began creating Anlad, the Helm of Dreams.
Taeli would incorporate many different enchantments and spells within the new helm, including the ability for the helm to shift shape into two different forms, as both a delicate tiara for stylish events and a helm of menacing obsidian. Forged from an alloy of beskar and sarrassian iron, centered around a second Echo Stone attuned to Quinn's essence, Anlad would be a potent focus for Quinn. Taeli would include several Nightsister enchantments within the runes to increase her perceptions and ability to hear her surroundings and understand them, along with more passive obscuring enchantments. Offensively, she could bring nightmares and fears to life and conjure waves of darkness to further enhance the darkness and suppress the light.
