An inquisitive and motivated pilot, as far as Anja is concerned the only true 'good' is knowledge and the only real 'evil' in the galaxy is ignorance. Second, to this, she believes that for any society to truly thrive there must be a strong rule of law and the preservation of civil and political rights. Although, the former to Anja is more important than the latter and this is why she chose to serve the New Imperial Order as opposed to the Galactic Alliance of whom she is technically also a Citizen by virtue of her family's ancient Coruscanti origins. Anja coming from a wealthy family has never wanted for material goods and thus struggles to often understand the plight of those who are less fortunate but it also allows her the opportunity to have loyalties based largely on ideals rather than the promise of material or financial gain. More than anything Anja loves the freedom that one gets from the seat of a cockpit, believing that spacecraft are the keys to freedom in the galaxy and a great responsibility for those who have the skill and talent to venture out in this way. For with power comes responsibility, and likewise with responsibility comes power.
Anja believing that the only ignorance is evil thoroughly loathes theocrats and magocrats who would keep the masses beneath them ignorant and or close their minds to different ideas and new knowledge. In this way, she does not believe that the Jedi or Sith Order are good the former having a penchant for kidnapping or volunteering children into a life of servitude without informed consent the latter an odious malevolent death cult that pursues power for power's sake. Anja, particularly hates the Sith for the devastation they have wrought upon the galaxy for time and time again for those bona fide "Sith" she possesses no empathy and has and will summarily execute them if authorised or if the action is otherwise lawful. Anja has a strong sense of loyalty to her fellow man and takes a keen interest in the health and wellbeing of her subordinates and colleagues, even as she simultaneously believes herself to be more skilled and talent than them.
Supremely gifted, Anja is keen and eager to take Leadership in any situation although this often leaves others to perceive her as a know-it-all, overbearing or arrogant. Anja knows she's better off than most Humans throughout the core both in terms of inherent aptitude, physique and material wealth and unashamed to exercise the benefits they provide unto her. These traits are not uncommon among the core's aristocracy. That said, while Anja is quite arrogant and haughty she is also capable of deep generosity and kindness for example on an interpersonal level she often treats her close friends determined to ensure they would want for nothing when in her company Anja eagerly purchases and shares expensive meals with her confidants. It is a wonder that Anja isn't overweight given her appreciation for and participation fine food and beverages alcoholic or otherwise, though this is likely related to their biological engineering.
Engineered to be the perfect Human by her extraordinarily wealthy Father in an attempt to produce an heir worthy to the family name. This is the cause of Anja's superiority complex and source of her arrogance towards many of her peers who she perceives as less skilled or talented, however. This is a method of psychological coping for Anja who is desperately frightened by the idea of failing whether it be professionally, academically or romantically and causes the woman to experience great anxiety in these fields and can be found sometimes falling into a depressive mood where she believes that failure is possible. Anja is thus cautious and makes decisions carefully so as to avoid the sting against her pride and sense of self-worth, so weak is this part of her psyche Anja can be reduced to tears where she is severely rattled by catastrophic of a failure that she believes herself to be responsible if it is followed by equally harsh criticism.
Amongst Anja's hobbies outside of flying which she remains passionate about despite it also being her profession include: Baking, cooking, sculpting, shooting, painting and ice-skating. She also has a distinctly large soft-spot for savoury treats and abuses the menu at the officers' club whenever possible. Her favourite genre of music is Bith Opera.

STRENGTHS:
- Force Sensitive: Entirely untrained in the harnessing of their innate connection with the cosmic and living force, it nonetheless confers some passive benefits onto Anja such as startlingly accurate premonitions and greater acuity in reaction time.
- Genetic Engineering: There has been a level of strand-casting and gene-writing procedures carried out on Anja for cosmetic and genuine functional purposes that were intended to make the woman a fitting heir to a staggeringly wealthy and old Coruscanti family. The intention was to bequeath onto Anja with beauty and physiological capabilities in excess of that when contrasted with the comparatively unimpressive baseline human.
- Talented and Skilled: Anja has the unusual distinction of being both naturally talented and very skilled as a pilot, putting her a cut above combat and commercial pilots generally speaking that fall into one category to the exclusion of the other. It's simply uncivilised. Though hardly a coward Anja is more likely to flinch away or seek to escape hand-to-hand engagements rather than try to overcome her opponent, despite her formidable endurance and strength.
- Small hands: As a human woman Anja doesn't have the largest hands in-fact they are quite diminutive and feminine when contrasted against her height and slender stature she can't comfortably wield larger sidearms or personal defence weapons and finds many large blunt melee weapons such as batons or cudgels unwieldy or difficult to secure a sufficient grip on. Conversely certain melee weapons such as knives Anja often finds her grip to be extremely comfortable.
- Superiority complex: Growing up in an aristocratic family and consistently meeting high expectations and standards set out before her, Anja has something akin to a superiority complex and can come across as haughty, arrogant and obnoxiously overbearing. Anja thinks of herself as genuinely special among the specimens of the human race, narcissism is a distinct character flaw and makes her reluctant to ask for help or aid believing it to be a capitulation to anything less than perfection.

Anja Vertal is a "pure" human woman who has been biologically and genetically modified to be a physical paragon of noble Human physiognomy, she is tall standing just a little bit under 183 centimetres tall or six feet at 179.5 centimetres tall or five feet and ten and a half inches. Growing from her head are stands of extremely dark brunette hair that Anja keeps tied into a loose bun that flirts at the edges of breaking military regulation, as an officer there are few able to hold the woman accountable on that front. Anja possesses a limber athleticism of physique and has a high level of fitness as one would expect from a military pilot, this has been honed through training flights in an atmospheric environment with their crafts inertial dampeners intentionally disabled which has taught Anja techniques to push blood and oxygen through her body.
