The release date for Andor season 2 is slated for April 22, 2025. I am very excited! The series is what brought me to this forum. The political stories throughout the show are incredible and I look forward to seeing how much further they go!

Razh Sho , Mon Mothma's arc is one of my favorites. That and the Andy Serkis episodes from season 1.

Hmm, an interesting 3 episodes. Episode 3 was definitely the stand out, but 2 felt very aimless.

Especially the squabbling rebel groups sitting 50 yards apart, and then resolving things with space rock-paper-scissors. That whole bit could have been heavily trimmed.

The design and world-building remain absolutely top-notch. The second trio of episodes is especially rewarding in that department. Even if the French Resistance in Space bit might be called clichéd - it was still stylistically very well-executed. And the characterisation of Andor as this increasingly hard-boiled character who thinks everyone else is an amateur is great.

Highly, highly recommended watching.

I expected nothing from season one and after finishing it I was just like wow, yes, season two when? I expected the same tier of quality for season two and in some ways it exceeded my expectations even then. I agree with the above post to the letter.

I think some cliches worked, the right tropes like the right tools, and I see what they were doing with that French Resistance in Space thing and overall I do think it worked as obvious as it was but maybe that was the point. I believe in suburbs in space as much as berets. The opening eps with a certain setting was much less of a hit for me. It just felt like an unfunny drag but is in no way reflective of the overall season.

The ending of season two was an emotional payoff for me personally and it was basically like the show was asking me 'ok I know you left roleplay for the 9000th time but what if I gave you two thousand dollars to come back?' so inevitably I'm like 'ok I guess' but I digress.
