Private And Then There Was Two

Royce Williams Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red

The ancient Palace on Hutta was like an oasis in the desert. It stood tall like a sundial, surrounded by a sprawling village that was bustling with activity. Plenty of shops sold black market goods, slaves were plentiful, though crime was kept in check and under control by the ruling Hutt.

And it was in that Palace that the siamese twins Willow and Ivy now resided. Their life was a far cry from what it used to be. Instead of being kept in a warehouse in squalor and forced to use their gifts all day to long lines of people that paid their captors for the privledge, the twins now had a full suite of their own and escorts that stuck with them whenever they walked through the Palace in the permitted areas.

One of those areas was the Atrium. In there they listened to music, watched the dancers and on the odd ocassion, spoken with someone. They were even starting to make friends. Though the two were wary of that, for their last friend Shea was killed and neither twin foresaw that until it was too late...

Seated at a table, the twins looked almost normal, except for the fact that they sat very close together. With arms wrapped around eachother's shoulders to better hide their attachments, they each held a drink in their free hand. Willows was a fruity punch, while Ivy favoured whiskey. Their two escorts stood watch at the far wall nearest to them, keeping both an eye on the crowds as well as on the twins themselves.

We're more ghosts than people.

Red scanned over the crowd of people in the Atrium, watching and examining the people. None of them seemed to be imminent threats, so it was all good. Well, good was relative, so it was all good that none of these people were threats right now, but they could still be considered threats. Red wore his armor, with his helmet under his arm. His red hair caught plenty of attention in this room full of people and dancers and music. He had his blaster rifle slung over his back, and had multiple weapons on his personal, like his dual pistols, knives, and flash grenades. He also wore his gauntlets, which held multiple weapons inside them, like the hidden blades that he could spring out to use, or the grappling hook or poison gas. He stood in the corner, watching over the crowd.

Despite being in this lively and festive place, Red wasn't here to have fun. He had been recruited to watch over these two twins, temporarily, at least. He had been asked to do this job because of his relations with the Hutts, and because of his skills. He was a master at combat, asset protection, investigation, and other skills, so of course he would be a choice on the list. The other guards were busy doing something else, so Red had been approached and asked, and he accepted, at least, temporarily, as Red did have other things to do, but not for a while. SO, Red was spending his free time to protect these twins.

They were a strange couple. Obviously, they were twins, so they looked alike, but that wasn't all. Apparently, they were connected, not just through the Force, but physically connected. They were actually attached to each other, they physically couldn't get away from each other. Apparently, they were Siamese twins, which means that in utero, unlike most twins that separate from the same cell, theirs partially separated, but not all the way, creating two individuals that were physically attached to each other. That most likely just made their Force bond even stronger, as they were twins, which would most likely already create a Force Bond, but actually being attached to one another would enhance it even further. Red wondered how that worked, but it sort of made sense. Since they were twins, they were sort of the same person, as they both came from the same embryo, but they were also attached to each other, so now that would make their connection even stronger. Red thought that would be kind of awkward, if you were ever mad at the other, you couldn't get away from them, you had to be stuck next to them, leaving you next to the person you're mad at. Red had plenty more questions like that, but didn't want to ask them, as they could be perceived as rude. Red also wondered if they even knew he existed... probably not. They probably thought that he was just another guard to protect them. He might talk to them later, but for now he didn't, and just watched over the crowd.

He stood at the wall closest to the twins, watching over them. If any danger were to befall them, he would protect them to. the best of his abilities. They were very powerful, and very important. He couldn't let someone like that get injured or killed. So, he scanned the crowd, watching everyone with his red gaze.

Walking down the street Royce looked over at a festival, these days you couldn't find any good fun and drinks, hopefully this place was different. Walking in he noticed the amount of people in there, watching them he took a note of everyone in there. Spotting the twins ( Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy ) he cocked his head slightly in curiosity, they were closer than usual, a trap for someone, or some sort of trick. For all he knew he couldn't find a reason to care.

Soon he spotted Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red , looking at him, Royce thought the threat of that man was more genuine then most, but then again, looks can be deceiving. The man was probably an escort of some kind, or a bounty hunter on a job, then again, Royce didn't care. Finding a seat he sat down someone came by with drinks where Royce gladly took one.

The drink appeared to be a strong kind of ale, something meant for shots on different planets, but that only made it better. Opening his mask, it revealed none of who the man was, not even skin. This may have surprised people for he drank normally and without problem. Putting the drink down, it was empty, his mask soon closed and he sat quietly waiting for the next drink.

Of course Willow and Ivy knew that Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red was there watching over them. And just as he was curious about them, they were curious about him. It would be easy enough for them to tap into the Force to see for themselves what he was all about, yet they didn't. Sometimes simpy talking was an easier way of doing things.

Ivy sipped her whiskey while Willow continued to people-watch those at the bar. From her angle she was able to observe Royce Williams opening his mask to have his drink. Her jaw dropped ever so slightly as she couldn't see his face. Of course he had one. How else could he drink? But to not see it was highly unusual. "Ivy...did you see that?"

"See what? No.."

"That's the problem. I could see but couldn't see. It's very....curious."

"Do you want us to pry?"

"No...not yet."

Willow turned her attention to a young man asking a lady to dance. It made her wonder if such a thing would ever happen to the twins. Whomever attempted to ask them would have a mighty surprise if they didn't know about the twins attachments. Some might find that revelation funny. They'd at least find it amusing.
