- Trapped Grip - Integrated biometric authentication access control system which only allows the designated wielder and other authorized agents to activate and wield the blades. - Killer - Fitted with a varpeline crystal, an overcharged diatium power cell, and a vibration lens, the standard lightsaber possesses enhanced cutting capability, allowing it to potentially challenge normally lightsaber-resistant materials and cut through standard materials with significantly greater ease.
- Support - The Synthetic Ankarres crystal in the shoto boosts the efficiency in which Anashja Tal can harness light side Force powers, reducing their strain on her constitution and Force reservoir. It should be noted that the shoto also possesses all other strengths of the Synthetic Aknarres.
- Cortosis - The use of redundant non-dimetris circuitry in the activation loops makes the lightsabers highly resistant to the deleterious effects of cortosis.
- Do No Harm - Due to the inclusion of Synthetic Ankarres, the shoto is unable to kill or do any harm to a target. In combat, it can only be used in a purely defensive context, mainly to block other lightsabers and to absorb incoming blaster fire. The shoto also possesses all other weaknesses of the Synthetic Aknarres.
- Power Cell Replacement - The overcharging of the standard lightsaber’s diatium power cell entirely nullifies diatium’s natural recharging capabilities. As such, after roughly twenty minutes of activation, the power cell will be completely burned out and must be replaced. Whereas other lightsabers can utilize their power cells indefinitely, Anashja must frequently swap hers out in order to maintain normal operation. This process can leave Anashja especially vulnerable as the shoto is unable to actually harm an assailant.
- Mechanical Mutation - The lightsabers are vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of Mechu-deru or similar technology-corrupting powers, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the weapons.
The weapons of a Healer and a Mandalorian Warrior, the lightsabers of Anashja Tal are crafted to represent and facilitate their wielder’s dual roles, allowing her to challenge the strongest warriors and heal the most desperately-ailed. Using both a shoto and a standard blade, each weapon serves a different function, one to fight and one to heal. The shoto serves the latter purpose, equipped with a Synthetic Aknarres crystal which can heal an individual when held close to their body. The standard lightsaber serves the latter, utilizing a varpeline crystal which serves to give the weapon enhanced cutting capability,
Utility was not neglected in crafting the lightsabers. The weapons include various systems which ease maintenance, enhance utility, and boost versatility. These include a diagnostic chip to facilitate maintenance, non-dimetris circuitry to boost resistance to the deleterious effects of cortosis, a dual phase system to tune the length of the blades, in addition to other features.
In crafting these weapons, the sabersmith has hopes that they will come to serve their wielder well.
