Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
"I wasn't trying to compete in that way you pain in the ass..." She glared at him for a moment, having not expected that in the least nor wanting to compete in that way. She felt even doing that would have been like betraying the one she still yearned for, even as she spoke like she didn't anymore. The heart and the mind fighting over how to react to situations like that.

Her focused on the man and thought about this. The man thought that she meant speed so she would leave him to think that as she extended the staff and leaned against it. She would not be able to use it effectively here, knowing that she could not move as freely as she might in the open field. She could use it to support herself though and still draw his attention away from her for a moment as the tail started to appear into the world once more.

It was no longer hidden by the illusion she preferred to keep over it, now dragging along the ground as it moved slowly. It was a hindrance to have out in the open most days, but she did not worry about Josh damaging the tail. She waited for him to move first though, choosing to say one last thing before they started.

"You know, Im going to smell your bad breath for hours already, so how about you get a move on and come and show me Dragonsbreath. The longer we remain in here, the quicker I pass out thanks to it."

He seemed to get the feeling from her that working in that way was unwanted, and so he made a mental note to drop it. As if to visually signify it, the joking grin on his face completely disappeared, replaced with a serious expression that read focus. While he knew she would have little room to use the staff, especially since it was a long weapon, he didn't underestimate it if she was going to use it. He also knew it could be to fake him out... He tried to leave no possibilities on the table.

He ignored her insults, instead moving about slowly, waiting for her to make a move. She seemed to be waiting for the same, so he would move for a feint, but only moved a step and didn't go all the way. He wanted to see if he could coax her into making the first move...

She figured he would prefer that she moved first and her eyes watched him carefully, waiting for him to move but nothing came. It was only the feint that made her shift her body and in a moment she kicked out the bottom of the staff, letting it drag back and for a moment she remained still, the staff held like a spear now and her eyes watching Josh. She said nothing but then moved forward and closed the distance quickly, lunging out with the staff as she jabbed for his gut. She did not keep a hold of the staff though and let it fire out from her hand, leaving her to step closer once more while he focused on the spear. All she needed was a moment and her hand would find its mark on his chest.

She didn't strike with power though, the second hand landing on his chest if she had been able to catch him with a lightness to it. She was smiling, standing there and waiting to see how he reacted and if he did not move to actually strike her or step away, she would draw her hand up and poke his forehead quick with a grin. This would be the extent of her movements for a bit as she started to lean in, looking at the man's eyes with a soft smile, her other hand finding his shoulder.

She moved closer, and close, until she was less than a foot away. At that point she would smile a bit wider and the hand that had poked his forward would come forward, aiming to strike his gut with as much force as she could put behind it, using the force like a rocket behind her arm. She wondered if that little show worked as she started her strike.

Josh didn't move, instead he watched her movements closely, but patiently. He watched her movements, he watched the movements of her staff, though he didn't factor the staff in as much as Alexandra herself. It couldn't move with as much finesse or she ran the risk of it hitting something and accidentally breaking one of her own ribs in the recoil. Not that he didn't overlook it completely. So much for hand to hand if she used a staff though, right? Sheesh, Alexandra... At least follow the rules of your own sparring session. But fine, if she wanted to fight dirty? He could match that game.

He would watch her as she would toss the spear, calmly batting it out of the way. This left the opening for her to com forward and... Poke his forehead. He just stared at her, emotionless, expressionless, nonchalant he gave no quarter as she leaned in closely.

At least until he suddenly wrapped his arms around her shoulders, closed the distance and planted a long, fiery, passionate and very much wet kiss on her mouth.

Knowing the surprise would stop the next attack, he would break the kiss and strike with a quick elbow aimed for the temple. As had been said... If she wanted to play this way, he could play it all the same. He had intended not to play it like this, but Alexandra had forced his hand.

Alexandra honestly was caught off guard and while the attack did stop, she wasn't standing there helpless like some little girl swept off her feet. Instead a red tone touched her face and her eyes knit themselves into a frown as she reached up and grabbed at the elbow coming for her temple. She grabbed on tight and brought up her knee, aiming for Dragonflame's gut and looking to plant a solid strike there.

She would wait to wipe her mouth clean or do anything more but that entire action was more than enough to make her look at Josh with a bit of contempt, even if she had put herself in place for that. She knew how Josh was and while it honestly did not surprise her much that that was how things went, she still tried to gather her thoughts into a coherent sentence for when she could break away and step away from him.

If she had been given that chance that was.

Should it have happened that way, she would finally back up and quickly wipe her mouth on the sleeve of her tunic, laughing a bit.

"No fair."

Alexandra had decided to play that game even when he had made plans not to, and thus, he had played that game and played it better than she did. Regardless, he remained calm and knew that a counter was coming the moment that she caught his elbow. Thinking quickly, before the knew would come he would bring his own up and they would collide with a block. Josh would then promptly push Alexandra back, allowing the both of them to get back to a regular base and resume.

At her complaining, he smirked lightly as he got back into stance.

"Turnabout is fair play."

She stood looking at [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] for a few moments with annoyance before grinning and curling her hands into fists holding them like that before letting go of her breath and her body relaxing. It was only then that she moved forward again, a few steps before she pushed out with a single palm aiming for his head. Her other hand soon followed up, striking up and aiming for what ever arm he had used to avoid the first strike.

If it had not been an arm that did so, she would simply push forward, careful to keep her stance low and centered, not moving further than was necessary. If she over committed, he would just knock her down or pull some other little move of his own. It was defensive and not at all the wild and feral way she normally fought, but that was against untrained fighters... not a man she knew could hold his own.

And all while she did this, the force was not used. Not the faintest improvement to her body or the faintest reduction of his. She was going to fight fair now and without the force as a decider. Atleast for now that was.

Josh had remained relaxed throughout all of this. He watched her, watched her closely, watched her with a focused eye as he waited until the very last moment before making his move. It was risky, sure, but Josh played plenty of risks in combat.

Josh himself had not used the Force throughout this. It was unnecessary unless Alexandra used it herself or made it necessary. Josh would block the first strike by grabbing the fist and wrapping it between his fingers. When the next came, he did the same, staring into her eyes with cold brown eyes staring back at her. It seemed he was back in a focused mode as he would then take the advantage to wrap his legs around hers, trapping them both in a web of body parts.

It wasn't long before the wheels began turning, and Josh began considering how to break this stalemate in a way that turned out in his favor.
