  • Demographics:
    • 60% Mixed Near Human

  • Wealth: Medium - Mix of economic status as there are wealthy investors and nobility living in the city; though there is also a heavy military population and blue collar workers.
  • Stability: High - Only those with proper identification are permitted into the city. Any who would find themselves in Amaranthine to cause trouble are usually followed rather closely by its security.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Citizens of Amaranthine have the same freedoms of any in the Empire, that being said, they are also oppressed in the same ways. So long as they work and contribute while remaining loyal they are left to do as they please, any conspiring however is usually quashed the moment its discovered. Watched over by Darth Morrow the unruly are met with an iron fist, others met with as much kindness as a Sith can offer.
  • Description: A large fortified city built under the surface of Iridonia. Housing itself above pools of Magma the city itself is constantly heated to a very warm climate, only slightly altered by artificial influence to provide more habitable living. Though the city is well protected, there is only one way in and out which can either be a blessing or a curse; its great gates. The large metallic gates block entry preserve the safety of those below, always heavily guarded. Once inside the caverns the city opens into a wide expanse of sprawling layers of city, populated by a variety of interesting races and mechanical servants.

POINTS OF INTEREST

  • Amaranthine Palace - A large palace located in the wealthy sector of Amaranthine, standing as a base of operations for Empire operations outside of their borders and a home for Darth Morrow. Entrance is not permitted to those without proper identification and clearance, and those numbers are very few.
  • Palace Library - A collection of thousands of books and artifacts from all over the Empire, gathered since Morrows induction into the Sith Order and many Lords and Ladies before her, all brought to Iridonia as a collection for officials to view; only those with permission from her alone may enter the highly guarded facility - that list being very, very small.
  • Wealthy Sector - A sector of the city resting in the upper limits of the mountain, built with finer architecture this sector is home to the wealthiest of the cities inhabitants, that and the most loyal.
  • Civilian Sector - The sector that houses the working class of Amaranthine, lined with pubs, armorers, weapon craftsmen, traders and the like those who can afford to upstart a business or have something to bring to the city generally live in the Citizens sector.
  • Servants Sector - The lowest sector of Amaranthine, those living in servitude to either the empire itself or those of the wealthy and citizen class live here. While the housing my not be pretty, its efficient, and living standards are decent enough to keep servants relatively happy.
  • Great Gates of Amaranthine - The entrance to the underground city of Amaranthine, guarded heavily by well trained soldiers armed and armored with the technological advancements of The Empire. Entry to the city is limited to those with proper identification that marks then as a citizen of the Empire or a trusted ally.
  • Military Training Sector - Where the Black Rose Legion is trained along side regular soldiers of Morrow small army, this fortification and base resides in the furthest corner of the Civilian sector.
  • The Arena - A large fighting arena in the center of the Civilian sector where citizens and legionnaires may prove their prowess and ascend in the ranks or meet their fate.

SECURITY

  • Rating: High
  • Description: Amaranthine derives most of its base security from the limited amount of entrances into the mountain, those being an entrance blocked by a large set of metal gates and another as an emergency exit out of the palace. The rest comes from the many droid and armed legionnaires patrolling the sectors. Civilian freedoms are limited, and are constantly monitored by hidden espionage droids.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Amaranthine, a city of fire built under the surface of Iridonia to stand as a distant outpost for those of the Empire to seek shelter. Captured from Vaulkar Zambrono during his days as a traitor to the Sith the planet was reformed by Darth Morrow as a symbol of power. While many may still live on the planets arid surface, the people following Morrows rule sought protection and stable environments and so Amaranthine came to be. Abandoning the surface the construction began on the large fortified city, excavation droids and heavy machinery carving into the core until a cavern could be found. Since the planet rests outside of the Empire's boarders the great gates were constructed to block their most accessible entrance in fear of invasion or assault. With a safeguard in place her followers began to build a life, carving homes intricately into the stone with the aid of mechanical servants and materials brought in from Empire space. Once the citizens present were settled gates opened to others, and so the city was born; though it surely will not be smooth sailing in the near future.
