GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Am-Mor-Ah
  • Designation: Non Sentient
  • Origins:
  • Average Lifespan: 40-60 years
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary
  • Description: Spongy with a bleached bone like look to their body. The Am-Mor-Ah are largely passive floating on the wind and appearing in schools that show the direction of the winds. Their mouth houses an ocular organ that lets them somewhat move around and small harder protrusions that look like teeth but are still mostly flexible. Their bodies are ideal for under the right circumstances being used as a transport.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 1m tall and can grow up to 3m long (can become near 5m when inflated fully)
  • Average Length of Adults: 1m tall and can grow up to 3m long (can become near 5m when inflated fully)
  • Skin color: White
  • Hair color: N/A
  • Distinctions:
    • A large porous membrane able to be filled with water and convert it into gas to fly.
    • Stalk like protrusion that keeps it ground as it ages
    • Creates methane and oxygen
    • Asexual reproduction
  • Races: N/A
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
Strengths:
  • Expansion: The body of the creature is like a sponge able to fill up with methane created by water vapor and CO2 to convert it to Methane CH4 and Oxygen
Weaknesses:
  • A wet noodle: While it is large the creatures body is more like a light sponge able to fill with water that is converted into air. While it might look big it is as dangerous as being hit with a big balloon.
  • Explosive: With its body converting vapor and carbon dioxide into methane it can be killed easily with explosions or flame. The creature will die in the explosion and can injure anything/one close to it. The explosion is quick and spreads the blast across two meters from the creates. A natural explosion is also a natural part of its reproductive cycle.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Plankton, Insects, small animals. Plants and greens are toxic to their systems
  • Communication: It can make mewling sounds and groans
  • Technology level: Doesn't use technology
  • Religion/Beliefs: Regarded by their masters as a pet and in older times a means of transportation across distances. The creatures are seen as friendly generally only getting to the size of fully grown when left to absorb enough water. Their terrifying visage of being fully grown and massive is a farce as slowly they will return to normal when they start moving and are just able to lift a person plus themselves with the fuel in their bodies. They are found at a young age and domesticated by the Go Nagai being fed and treated as pets or status symbols depending on which ones can get the largest.
  • General behavior:
    • Appearing mindless in their movements and usually moving with the air currents. They tend to stay near water sources and move with them touching down and depending on how long the trip might touchdown to absorb more water vapor. Some of the smaller creatures they can eat are not in larger groups that can injure the sacs in their skin. They will also be friendly towards those who offer them food acting like a pet when they are small and dried out.

When they get scared they can fill their sacs with air to puff up and appear larger than normal but will deflate quickly. Much like a puffer fish to scare off predators only they have no spines or natural defenses. The spikes and points of their bodies more to absorb water. The mouth retaining the most to protect their single large eye that is the last thing within their body to dry out.

With people they can do as they did in the past and transport them but without much weight to weigh them down. They can be commanded somewhat but will usually just drift on the air currents making travel with them not as reliable which is why old cities were built along the drifting currents so the creatures could easily go from one to the other with their masters.

The younger ones are attached to stalks that disintegrate as they get older until they are able to float away with their master. Their life cycle converting carbon dioxide and vapor into methane that will slowly over time build up in the flesh of the sacs until their bodies cannot process it anymore. Without an artificial or mechanical way to filter the build up the body goes into a failure and pops spreading thousands of spores in clumps that only a dozen or so will survive the fire.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Found during the ice age by the ancient Go nagai when they stumbled upon one of the oldest or just the largest who had been trapped in the ice and slowly absorbing to the point its skin was stretched and breaking exposing the different sacs underneath. Its babies it was trying to protect were within its mouth. The Nagai feeling the compassion before they gave way to delusions and thoughts of killing other species.

Their compassion giving way to protection and friendship with the creatures who could transport them between villages to protect each other. As time went on their friendship grew and the Vu disappearing from their bodies to be sealed away in the south. The Creatures became a part of their society growing in numbers and use as ancient transports, friends and at times protectors as their massive sizes could scare away creatures instead of their combat skills which didn’t exist.

As more time went on and the ice receded the creatures found further use moving between the continents and being part of explorer parties. Being used with the ancient Jun-La that could transport the cargo while they carried the Nagai. Eventually the Go developed into a being and were invaded by the Ren beginning their campaign and corrupting the Nagai into something twisted.

They found a new use as dirigible transports carrying the force users above the battlefield and providing a dangerous double blade as they were filled with hydrogen gas to provide the lift. They could be ignited and explode killing the force users on their back. The war was a dangerous time that saw the creatures being killed but slowly as the battle turned the Go Nagai used the Ren’s technology to expand and fight back.

That turning point saw them being used less as transports and attack craft and more as pets that could be used to ruin an enemies water supply. One being smuggled in and absorbing the water then being sent away and repeating the process until the enemy could be wiped out. With the Go Nagai leaving their system the species was able to be on a few other worlds but never in numbers to really make an impact.

They continued to however grow within their own system and as the masters expanded they were able to go from the different worlds and moons into a nice population. With the Go nagai declining and disappearing to their sanctuary world to escape the ones coming for them. They were quite a sight to behold with time bringing them into a population boom. Able to expand going across the oceans as the cities had them flying around.

As the centuries ticked away they continued to live within the system and just became a regular part of the world, the inhabitants knowing they meant no harm to them and were friendly. Despite their size and looks the creatures were friendly avoiding the louder noises and visiting the public pools, the lakes and could be seen lounging within the ocean before leaving. Larger predators usually avoided them when they were fully expanded because of their resemblance to another predator in the oceans and swamps.

With the centuries and years on Shri-Tal the species eventually was transported by others off world to zoos. Some were found on Valo at the sight of the old republic fair before it was attacked and others were moved to be studied by the jedi. The Go Nagai bringing them to the silver jedi and other worlds where the jedi were. The Commonwealth getting some and Ahch-To as they could be raised by the cartetakers and used instead of boats for transportation.

With more efforts the creatures were seen in zoos to preserve them, repopulated across the galaaxy after the attacks on Shri-Tal and several other worlds by the sith. The Atrisian Commonwealth using them as they ushered in the Jishi era and with it airships and restricted routes were used for transports on the world... so a new method of flight that could ferry over farms quietly was an important endeavor and to Ahch-To where the transports could be used when the waves were to choppy for a boat.

Early era Kallish Explosion from Power Ranger's Wild Force.

If that is to nerdy and obscure I'll stick with Halo rocket launcher. 2m blast radius from the body.

Normally I'm not too worried about your Asobi creatures because they are not especially harmful. I usually overlook some of the more odd ones too which don't have much basis in science.

However, I will have to pull this one up.
  • I'm no chemist, but electrolysis requires high heat to undertake, and is extremely wasteful in terms of usage. The volume of water used to the volumes of the gas produced are quite inverse. I also don't understand how or why this would have evolved when there are better ways to do this.
  • Hydrogen by itself is actually hard to detonate, requiring the right concentration of oxygen. I also fail to see how this is an advantage for the creature to have, as it would almost certainly kill it to have one of these sacks explode.
  • Having the eye in the mouth makes no sense. The eye is always the weakest part of the body, and having it in the place where it's eating things defies belief.
  • If it inflates and floats it essentially becomes an unguided balloon or zeppelin - but without the ability to steer. In a wind it will be blown that direction without any chance of changing its course.
  • How do they mate and have children?

That will do for a start.

as discussed with one of the judges.

Changed the gas it uses
removed the eye
added in a way to reproduce
The sacs exploding can kill it as it would be like removing a part of the body
