OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Shipyard Name: Al'Hari Federation Shipyard
    • Nicknames: Al'Hari Shipyards, AHF
  • Classification: Orbital Shipyard
  • Location: Haruun Kal
  • Affiliation: Al'Har Federation
  • Population: Moderately Staffed
  • Accessibility: With Al'Hari Defense Fleet still under construction, AHF is fairly accessible.
  • Description: The product of a trade agreement between the Haruun Kal and the Trade Federation, The Al'Hari Shipyards represents The Al'Hari Federation's first step towards naval self-sufficiency, allowing it to build small to medium sized ships and refit or perform minor repairs on larger capital ships. The shipyard has the capacity to attend to numerous ships without having to worry about the the harsh toxic fumes permeating much of Haruun Kal's surface. Most construction takes place in the shipyard's inner ring, while maintenance and repairs are managed in the outer ring.
OPERATIONS INFORMATION
  • Production: Starfighters, corvettes, and frigate-class vessels
  • Specialty: Frigates
  • Output: On average, AHF produces 1 frigate per month, 2 corvettes per month, and 5 squadrons of assorted starfighters a month.
  • Market: AHF produces ships exclusively for the Al'Hari Navy.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Outer Ring: The Outer Ring is the outermost portion of AHF. The Outer Ring contains facilities primarily for maintenance, refueling, and repair, and can service up to ten corvette to frigate sized ships or a capital ship.
  • Inner Ring: The Inner Ring is the innermost portion of the A'Hari Shipyard. Nearly all shipbuilding activity takes place within the Inner Ring. Factory workers, soldiers, and engineering staff are quartered on the Inner Ring.
SECURITY: High

Because it is not extremely maneuverable, or defended by a fleet presence, the shipyard are protected by turbolasers and laser cannons littering the outer ring of the shipyards, primarily meant to provide all-around protection against star-fighters and corvettes. The Outer Ring's hangar gates can also be closed to prevent hostiles from gaining entry.

Internally, AHF is protected primarily by a series blast doors meant to isolate invaders and detachment of soldiers.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Following the ratification of the Al'Har Pact, the Al'Har Federation was formed in 897 ABY. To the citizenry, it was the cause of jubilation- at last, an end to countless generations of feuding, suffering, and bloodshed.

But the High Council embraced their liberation with a mix of relief and trepidation. Peace was not the natural state of the galaxy. They had proven that they can fight a galactic power on land- but what would happen if the next invader cut their losses and tried to bombard them from the air?

Hence, the impetus for Al'Hari Shipyards was born.

Lor Pelek Lehvi Vass was sent to the Galactic Alliance as the Representative for Haruun Kal for several reasons: Represent Korun interests, lay the groundwork for possibly joining a faction, and cultivate relationships with business interests that would lead to the creation of the shipyards.

Striking a deal with Trade Federation Senator Rulonom Laborr, in exchange for a generous lease of land and mining rights, and reduced tariffs, the Trade Federation built and maintained the shipyards for 3 years before transferring formally transferring ownership to the Al'Hari Federation in 900 ABY.

A neat shipyard! Nice touch with the negotiation thread before building it. :)

The image you posted from Wookiepedia seems broken. I'll let you decide if you want to edit a working one in, or leave it out.

This shipyard follows the layout of the Fondor shipyard closely. Please include a link to the Fondor Shipyards under "Links" to reference the model this is based on

Otherwise, this looks good to go!
