Appearance:
Alfr is a tall man, portly and strong. He is epitome of Valkyri, in his physicality and mentality. He wears the leathers of trade, fur álk coat to stave away the winters bite, and carries a small hunting knife in his belt at all times. His hands are large, and well worn through many hours of hard labour, short fingernails are an indication of a nervous disposition. His hair long, and unkempt as is his beard.
Biography:
Alfr Silkenstride was born in Tháinbroek, the capital city of Midvinter. His early childhood had been uneventful, his time mainly spent with his father learning the art of a fletcher. When he did have time away from the workshop, he would play with the children on the streets and it is then that he met Théo Heavenshield and became firm friends. As his father and mother have reached old age and have moved to the country fields, Alfr owns and runs the family business of fletching.
Now an adult, he has an apprentice which allows him time to himself when not instructing the boy and so he has taken to fishing on the river close by to Tháinbroek.
One day, Théo had come home to Tháinbroek to venture upon the Great Maw with his father and Uncle to partake in the rite from boy to manhood. Alfr, although afraid of this, had overcome his nerves and joined them on the voyage. It was this voyage that would have the four men discover the existence of the Beonri and unite the races once more. Returning home, Alfr had changed, had become more assure of himself, braver and bolder. He returned to his business of fletching however, recently was approached by Théo to take care of his new venture in the Howlin'Wolf Inn. Now Alfr runs the place for Théo while he is away from Midvinter.
