STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
- I am who I am: As a Ghostling, Aleidis is made of weakness. Moving outside of her native low-gravity environment is sometimes a cumbersome struggle. A simple touch can bruise her frail skin, and even a light hit has the potential to break her bones or otherwise seriously injure her. She must step carefully on other planets, because a serious fall has the potential to end her life.
- Reputation proceeds me: Ghostlings are not a hardy people. They are a clever people, and a people possessed of unearthly beauty, but a Ghostling is very unlikely to ever become any sort of feared warrior.
Which is why Aleidis joined the Jedi order - having the Force potential required, she was recruited at a young age and is eager to learn as much as she can from a Master as soon as one is found for her.
+ Overwhelming Faith: Strength through the Force is the first Strength the Ghostling has known in her life, and has provided her with opportunities that her largely primitive planet would have never been able to. She believes in the Jedi code with all her heart, and follows it to the very best of her ability. Her unending faith in all that the Jedi Code espouses is a source of strength for the fragile young woman when things get rough.
-KNIGHT UPDATE- (Two years Later..)-
+ Mentalist Prodigy: Although she'll never be a great warrior, Aleidis has recieved training from two of the arguably strongest mentalists in the order - one of which perhaps the strongest in the Galaxy despite being a Holocron. She knows a wide variety of mental tricks, illusions and skills that died with Je'Gan Olra'en, including Quay'tek, Art of the Small, and the use of the White Current.
+Healer: Aleidis is a healer, and although she isn't as good at healing as she is at mentalism, she's still rather capable.
-I have strong friends: Although she knows the very basics of lightsaber combat, she's never had to actually use one in pitched combat before. If ever she NEEDED to kill someone, she'd be better served by exhausting them with illusions and traps, and then trying to coup-de-grace them with... like, a rock or something. Like... a stone.
-Pacifist: Aleidis hasn't formally taken Boolon Murr's vows of non-violence, but believes that she follows them in her heart. As such, she has never directly, intentionally harmed another sentient, and would likely only do so as a very absolute last resort.
-MASTER UPDATE- (Or, 'I was a teenage ruler and then... not'.)
+Almost like College: Aleidis spent a few months as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. Not only does it look awesome on a resume, but she learned quite a bit about effective rule, applied diplomacy, and the things people will do to subvert power.
+My Reputation REALLY Proceeds me: Aleidis managed to lead the Republic into official or unofficial peace treaties with virtually every other major force in the Galaxy - including the Sith Empire. She also defeated Velok, a man who destroyed worlds, in a duel and cast one of the most powerful Dark Side artifacts, the Darkstaff, into a supernova. The Jedi council named her 'Barsen'thor', which is apparently kind of a big deal. Some people know her for this stuff.
-I am not left handed: Defeating Velok cost Aleidis her right arm. She's always going to struggle to adjust to it's loss, and her already lackluster saberplay has suffered from the absence of her primary hand - along with her sense of balance, ability to pour tea, type, and play holovids. (Among other things)
-Going my way?: Despite being seventeen, Aleidis still has no idea how to pilot a ship or speeder and troubleshoots droids by politely asking them to stop being broken. Sure, she can read a starmap and recite history, but if it doesn't have an autopilot or requires aim, there's always going to be someone better for the job than Aleidis Ijet.
SHIP:
Aleidis doesn't have a ship. When she needs to get around, she does what any other young teenager does - bums a ride or calls a taxi.
BIOGRAPHY:
Aleidis was discovered on her home planet, Datar, by a Jedi passing through. It took some cajoling to talk her parents into letting the young girl join the Jedi order, but the adventurous Aleidis wasn't lacking for enthusiasm. As the Jedi were far from unknown to Datar, she was released into the Order's care and taken to Coruscant.
A few years later, she was accepted as the apprentice of one of the best Healers in the order, Knight Boolon Murr. Shortly after, Aleidis found a Tsil of the great Mentalist, Je'Gan Olra'en. Since then, her time has been largely devoted to learning from these two men at separate ends of the morality spectrum, and practicing. Working for the Republic.
And then a bunch of shit happened, and things kept getting worse.
