STRENGTHS
- Akaran engineering packed as much as possible within the confines of a destroyer’s frame.
- Traveling in groups and amassing firepower is the primary mission of this class of vessels.
- Automated systems allow the carriage of more passengers and the streamlining of most systems.
WEAKNESSES
- Relies on groups to be adequately protected, when alone, highly vulnerable.
- Automated systems could be easily taken out and leave these ships vulnerable.
- No fighter support.
- Cannot enter atmosphere, relying on dropships to land any ground operations.
DESCRIPTION
The first proper vessel from the Sakuran dockyards, the Akizuki-class is a shining example of what is to come. Designed to fill a myriad of roles, from front line combat to security patrols. These vessels sit right in the middle of the Akaran naval classification hierarchy and are therefore normally precisely placed within larger formations.
Individually, and by their respective owners, these ships can fill any desired role and provide a much needed boost to their respective navies.
