  • Assault Gunship: The Akimôsh gunship is designed for the singular purpose of providing overwhelming firepower in support of allied elements on the ground, as well as in rapidly deploying combat units where needed on the battlefield with a rather spacious passenger cabin as noted above.
  • Cargo Space: While it’s main application is that of a troop transport and assault gunship, the Akimôsh can serve the role of an adequate cargo ship for transporting supplies, munitions, and vehicles.
  • Death from Above: Simply put, the Akimôsh is equipped with more than enough armements to pose a viable threat to nearly any major ground target on the battlefield; whether it be massed regiments of infantry, armored companies, and static fortifications. She also adds a level of shock value by providing the means for its embarked units to rapidly descend into the field of battle by means of rappel chords outside of any of its four auxiliary access hatches.
  • Flying Fortress: With triple-layered armor paneling, above average shielding, anti-aircraft armaments, and copious amounts of secondary countermeasure systems; the Akimôsh could be accurately described as a flying fortress. It would take dedicated and concerted efforts to be able to bring this vessel down.
  • +Jink: Despite being rather heavy, the Akimôsh is very maneuverable, particularly when hovering over a target, making it hard to take down with weapons devoid of well calibrated tracking.

  • Large Target: Despite being more than capable to ‘take a punch’, as well as possessing above average ability to actively defend itself; the fact remains that the Akimôsh presents a very large and appealing target for enemy aircraft and AA emplacements alike.
  • Slow: Although it is very maneuverable, the Akimôsh is still quite slow compared to comparatively more nimble void/aircraft, such as starfighters.
  • “What a piece of junk!”: While its capabilities are battle-proven, these gunships are still assembled via salvage and stolen components on the chassis of previously built assault ships. While Kragamond’s shipwrights have done much to render the Akimôsh “dependable”, overall the ship type is altogether non-standard and asymmetrical in the means and methods used to produce one. While all Akimôsh style gunships bear a resemblance to each other (allowing for easy enough identification on the battlefield), swapping parts and conducting field repairs often include copious amounts of cursing and aggravated banging.
  • Low Squadron Count: Due to its overall size, the Akimôsh takes up a considerable amount of space aboard its host vessels. Because of this, its squadron size compared to smaller craft is quite low.
  • Munition Dependent: All of the weapon systems mounted aboard the Akimôsh are munition dependent. In other words, it does not possess any energy-based weaponry, relying entirely upon ammunition reservoirs. These are mounted internally within the cargo bay. While this still leaves a considerable amount of space for storage, the mass taken up is still not inconsequential either.
    • NOTE: The Akimôsh can be modified to incorporate energy based weaponry, but its stock version does not possess such armaments as previously explained.

With Kragamond emerging as an upstart marauder tribe, they have quickly established a reputation for themselves of rapid and unpredictable ‘shock and awe’ tactics. While most of their known engagements have taken place almost exclusively in space within the confines of their infamous starships, this should not be interpreted to mean they are only a threat in space. As recently as the cleansing of Nothmir, Kragamond marauders have been seen mobilizing in force planetside, utilizing equipment commonly seen amongst their fellow marauder tribes, such as the War Skiff and Raider Walker.

As a clear means to stay true to where their true power lies, the Akimôsh was birthed from the malign shipyards of the cannibalistic wartribe. Possessing a truly excessive amount of armaments upon its frame, as well as above average defensive capabilities; the Akimôsh strikes fear into the hearts of Kragamond’s enemies upon the hearing of its trademark engine wine, reminiscent of the deep and guttural growl of an infuriated reek. Many a traumatized survivor of a Kragamond raid can testify to the raw devastation this gunship is capable of inflicting, from its overwhelming rate of fire, to the shock value of seeing dozens of armed and armored cannibals repelling into the center of a village courtyard.

Victims beware, and heroes take note - the Akimôsh is an angel of death in service to the chosen of Bogan himself.
