Akhilleus is similar to many other Hellyni and he even sports trace amounts of traits from the royal Makrosian family though there are some features that have always left his true orgins a mystery to all those outside the royal family. Instead of sporting large muscular bodies like his brothers and father Akhilleus is more of an athletic build being slimmer with densely packed muscle. His hair has been allowed to grow long reaching to the high part of his back red strands blended in with the raven black. Sporting golden eyes since birth he cuts quite the figure when seen by most people. Unlike his older sibling Nikias, Akhilleus doesn’t sport numerous scars, in fact he has nearly none on his body. Which is highly unusual considering that Hellyni are known for constantly entering battle.

Akhilleus, last of the Vinikas line. Last of the royal Makrosian family that can lay a claim to the throne. The throne was never meant to be passed on to Akhilleus, he never even wanted it. Yet fate conspired against the illegitimate heir of Vinikas VII and brought him to the forefront. Now he sits upon a throne that he doesn’t truly have a claim to, and the unrest of the people begins to grow after the disappearance of their last anointed king. Though before one can understand why this has happened to Akhilleus they must understand his story.

It is no secret to anybody that knows the Hellyni that are one of the most hedonistic species in the galaxy. Drink, sex, even battle fueled them, and Akhilleus’ mother like any other Hellyni was of course more than open to a night of passion, though it wasn’t with Vinikas. It was with his brother Cadmus. Yes, casting aside all sense of morals and restraint the two bedded each other, and that one mistake would lead to Akhilleus’ birth. Thankfully Vinikas never figured out the truth, and Akhilleus’ true parent had been kept secret. At least they tried to do so. Vinikas knew his wife had cheated on him, but not with who. The embarrassment it would bring upon the family if the public were to find out spurred Vinikas to claim Akhilleus as his child. However, someone had to pay the consequences. As such he sent Akhilleus’ mother on a trop away from the planet with a group of royal guards. Her true destination was Aristis where she would be thrown into the survival games against the worst scum Hora had produced. A fitting end in Vinikas’ eyes.

Vinikas was the second bane of Vinikas’ existence, more so than even Nikias and thus wasn’t even permitted to join in any family gatherings, royal outings, or even on the battlefield. He was confined to the lower levels of the castle where he roamed freely, his only company his uncle Cadmus and the political prisoners, or concubines that Vinikas kept.
