Unbalanced: Like many of his species, he has natural instincts toward predation and aggression that he nust control to avoid the Dark Side.
Learner: He is still but a padawan, and is a teenager. There are many things he is still needing to learn.
HISTORY
Akeela Garval was born into the rugged and industrialized world of Mapuzo, where his Shistavanen parents worked as mekneks, repairing starships for the mining and agricultural operations that sustained the local economy. Their existence was difficult and fraught with hardship under the control of the Empire, but they harbored hopes for a brighter future for their son. From a young age, Akeela showed signs of latent Force abilities, an unusual gift for his kind, and one that caught the attention of the community's wise shaman. The shaman, sensing the boy's potential, advised his parents to entrust Akeela to the Jedi Order, knowing that only there could his abilities be fully realized.
With heavy hearts, his parents made the agonizing decision to let him go, believing that the Jedi could offer him the life and opportunities that Mapuzo never could. Leaving the only world he had ever known, Akeela was taken into the care of the Jedi Order. He trained diligently as a youngling, mastering the foundational aspects of the Force, and later ascended to the rank of Padawan. The sense of duty instilled by his parents' sacrifices and the teachings of the Jedi propelled him through the trials and tribulations of his early training, though he soon discovered that his journey would not be as smooth as he had hoped.
As a Padawan, Akeela grapples with his Shistavanen heritage and instincts, particularly his natural wolfish ferocity and his struggle with attachment, traits that ran counter to the Jedi Code. His innate aggression, combined with the emotional bond he still felt toward his family and past, created inner conflicts that hindered his path toward knighthood. Now at a crossroads in his training, Akeela seeks a master who can help guide him not only in refining his lightsaber techniques and Force abilities but also in conquering the darker, more primal parts of himself. He longs to prove that he can master both the Jedi teachings and the wild instincts that stir within him.
