Aka'liit - Mandalorian Faithful [ Q&A ]

duc0AIf.jpg

Greetings one and all! Below you'll find a collection of commonly asked questions regarding our faction: the Aka'liit. If curiosity leads you to ask more, please do not hesitate to do so below. We will be more than happy to answer any inquiries you might have!

Who are the Aka'liit?

Put simply, we are Mandalore's last stand. We are the children of a broken world who choose to remain true to our culture, despite recent calamity. We are the Aka'liit - Mandalorian Faithful!

What makes the Aka'liit different from other, Mandalorian factions?

In the past, extreme emphasis has been placed on two factors: redundant ranks and player versus player. Over time, previous Mandalorian factions backed themselves into a corner by, ultimately, having to rely upon fighting other factions than the ability to exist on their own merit. Furthermore, too often had individuals been given rank and had no clue what it entailed and what to do with it. As such, the first major difference is structure; or rather a lack of structure.

The Aka'liit does not have a tiered series of ranks, but rather an organic "lead by experience" system. All are subordinate to the Mand'alor and act accordingly. In addition, we focus on story first, pvp thirteenth. Whilst Mandalorians are indeed a warrior culture, we as a faction must demonstrate the ability to survive without picking a random target for a skirmish.

How does the Aka'liit work?

As a whole, our collective attention is upon our interpretation of "what makes a Mandalorian Mandalorian?" Outside of the Resol'nare, we've found that this boils down to three major types of activity: Security Work, Warfare, and Bounty Hunting. As such, the faction focuses on engaging in these endeavors whilst also telling the story of Mandalore's rise from the ashes.

Internally, as aforementioned, we have a very organic system in place. In Character leadership rests in the hands of the Mand'alor, with all others falling into line underneath him. Out of Character-wise, the Aka'liit is not a dictatorship. Our decisions are made as a faction, not as a chatroom think-tank or behind closed doors.

What is your End Goal?

Our end goal is restoration. Both by Chaos and Canon Lore, the Mandalorians have always been a force to be reckoned with. However, in the current era, that trend has come to an astounding conclusion. It is our desire to see this culture we adore restored to prominence in the Galaxy. Whether it be by persistent Minor status or eventually ascending to Major is a decision the faction will make, as a whole, as time moves on.

Is the Mand'alor just a figurehead?

Our Mand'alor, Vilaz Munin, is no figure head. His author is both a founding member of the faction and a member of our administrative team. His presence IC is the foundation we need to jump-start the Mandalorian culture in earnest – for what are Mandalorians without their Mand'alor?

What are your views on Clans?

Clans, while an exceptional piece of Lore, have proven in the past to be a stumbling block. Inherently there is nothing wrong with congregating under a single name, but steering numerous think tanks in a mutual direction has proven difficult time and time again. As opposed to walking down a road proven to be trying, we have placed our emphasis on the faction population as a whole, as opposed to leadership via Clans. Of course, members of the Aka'liit are welcome (and are encouraged) to maintain their Clans, to form new ones, and to continue writing in whatever manner they enjoy!

What are your views on the Force?

The Force is a Tool. The Aka'liit does not discriminate nor persecute those who are gifted with its use - whether vod or aruetii. Our judgment is reserved for the actions of individuals, plain and simple.

What is your attitude towards member participation, new and old?

The Sky is the Limit. We do not restrict the commencement of threads to certain "ranked" individuals. We do not bar anyone from sharing their ideas. The Aka'liit, at the end of the day, is a team - one that both new and old members work together in. So, if a new members joins and has an idea for a thread, go for it! Toss up a topic in the Out of Character and we'll make it happen. If a veteran wants to kick off an event? Excellent. We'll be behind you every step of the way. Do not be afraid to post your ideas. Do not be afraid of being ignored.

In brief, all members matter. Every suggestion matters, new and old.
