Ain’t No Party Like a Red Ravens Party (Open, No Fighting)

Nei Laa

Grumpy cat? No no no -- grumpy squid!
[member="Yuuta Namari"]

Nei nearly jumped out of her skin when the girl -- Yuuta, if she remembered right -- came up beside her and started talking. Ye gods, I be stressed. The pheromones here were also starting to drive her up a wall.

Her tresses still doing the dance that to other Nautolans would indicate her discomfort, Nei grunted, "It would be better if I have my armour on. Don't like being...naked. Too vulnerable." She looked at the other woman in confusion at the next statement. "Fine choices? Nah, they be too fancy for me. Dainty little rich folks gotta have dainty little alcohol," she grumbled.

As she looked around the party, she caught sight of a familiar face -- one which she wasn't expecting. What the kriff is [member="Nomad Crimson"] doing here? She thought he was too young to drink, much less party.

Nei watched the kid for a moment. Once she caught his eye she would jerk her head at him, signalling that he needed to haul butt over to the older Nautolan pronto.

Nomad remained in his little 'bubble' for lack of a better word until he saw Nei call him over 'ah.. Kriff' he thought. Surfing his way over "er.. hi Nei" he said rather shakily. -He had managed to lose his glass on the way over- "Funny meeting you here" he added.

He then looked person next to her "Hi, I'm Nomad" he said quickly.

Winning was in his blood, rushing through every inch of his body as his fingers greedily wrapped around several more credits. Once more he was hitting the Sabaac tables, back into a comfortable spot as it was just him versus a few others and the only weapons were bluffs and cards. His mind raced as he was dealt his cards, a soft sigh escaped his lips. Loud enough to be heard and a few eyes turned to face him, Seto knew anything could tip off these guys. Poker faces were hard one in a dozen, but being able to bluff and manipulate with subtle gestures, well that was something else entirely. Grinning, letting his cockiness shroud over the fact he had a terrible hand lead the rest to believe something else. He knew these guys wanted nothing more but to see Seto loose and he was going to let them, at least once. Throwing in a bit more credits into the center than he would have initially liked but it had the effect he wanted. Everyone called, no one folded, and Seto smirked. When it came back once more for him to make a bet Seto turned his cards down and stood up to leave, taking his remaining credits with him. Each and everyone one of them glared with hatred at Seto, but his smirk grew bigger as he left content.

Straightening his yellow tie he looked for another drink, as interesting as the dance was getting he did not feel to urge to join. His eyes targeted a bar with somewhat less traffic, may the gods forbid Seto wait long for a drink, as he quickly approached the bartender and ordered a quick shot. Flinging a few credits down the bartenders way, with a generous tip, Seto toyed with the small glass for a moment. His eyes looking deep into the clear liquid as he smirked. Certainly he had more important things to do, but he needed a small vacation from his day to day routine. He knew the galaxy was going anywhere and he had plenty of time to grab hold of it so why not enjoy the small things in life? Chuckling once he downed his drink as lazily looked around to seek another thrill. No lack of various beings here, both interesting and some even deserving some closer looks Seto mused to himself. Running his fingers through his white hair he marched around to look for a hot sabaac table, perhaps he should try and triple his wins tonight before heading home.

Yuuta gave jolted, if a bit amused, look to [member="Nei Laa"] when she'd jumped. She knew she was quick and quiet but not she'd been trying that hard here. Still the scared and winded look on her face and made Yuuta smirk. Times like those were why she enjoyed being what she was; someone you wouldn't see coming until it was far too late. When her friend [member="Nomad Crimson"] hadn arrived Yuuta merley let Nei given any and all introductions before nodding her head or the like. She could already tell this man wasn't interesting; just a sixth sense about it.

Her attention, however, was rawn to the arrival of [member="Seto Du Couteau"] . She smiled as she thought how there was a someone she could become "aquainted with". Even from a distance she could tell she would like him enough, at least for the night. She watched as he played some of the games before making his way to the bar, the perfect oppertunity. She excused herself from the others by saying "Pardon me. I need to...find someone more interesting to talk to." She was quick and swift as she made her way through the crowd towards the bar, something else she'd learned as an assassin. As she made her way over Yuuta gulped the last of her drink before finally reaching the bar.

Standing close enough to Seto she looked to the bartender and said "Refill, please." With the perfect enough set-up she turned her attention to him and, with a flirtatious smile, said "Hello."

Nei didn't bother introducing the woman next to her -- she was too busy flowering at Nomad. When Yuuta excused herself, the Nautolan merely grunted.

Crossing her arms, her tresses did a little dance before falling still. "Funny would imply I be laughing. I'm not. What the kriff are you doing here? Aren't you too young to be doing...this?" She waved a hand about, gesturing at the masses of bodies, the gambling, and the booze that was flowing. Nei detected anxiety coming off the kid, and she narrowed her eyes. "You not be drinking things you shouldn't be, are you?"

In the back of her mind, she realized how motherly she sounded. And acted. It also wasn't helping that Nomad was acting as if he really had been caught by a parent. Bah. Must be the casino.

[member="Yuuta Namari"]

About to take a step forward his foot pivoted to turn around and face the owner of the feminine voice that had addressed him. Raising a single eyebrow he gave the woman a once over, indeed a woman she was, his eyes lingered on her legs for slight moment longer than Seto had originally wanted. Perhaps it was the alcohol in his system, Of course it's the alcohol, it's just the alcohol Seto thought, refocusing his mind quickly as he made eye contact instantly with the woman. Giving her a winning smile he offered her a nod at first before taking a single step closer to her to close the already small gap a tad bit more.

"Du Couteau," He introduced himself, "Seto Du Couteau, and your name beautiful?" He asked, titling his head slightly to the left, his smile holding. The alcohol, Seto refocus, He thought furiously, he would be damned before he let his emotions get him carried away this early of the night. After all he did have plans much later in the evening, keeping his wits about him though would be difficult.

"Hello all and everyone! Tonight we're once more covering the annual black tie party at the-... Do I dare say it? The most beloved casino of all! The Dragon Palace on Antecedant!"

[SIZE=9pt]The energetic voice was heard by those who were either watching the Multiverse Broadcast! or simply standing by the red carpet at The Dragon Palace. Those people would know that it belonged to Martin Macdonafray himself, a man that judging from his looks tonight was well versed in the latest male fashion, or well, at the very least the experimental part of such fashion. The newest and most expensive! Tonight he was wearing a black professional looking suit that was covered by tiny white star shaped dots, giving the suit what he himself would have referred to as “Extra zing!” it was accompanied by beautifully swen black suit trousers that stopped above the ankle, revealing his likewise black with star dotted socks. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]But indeed, tonight Martin was here to cover the event, all night long if he had to, even though he hoped that would not be the case. He was however looking forward to sneak in some reactions on the red carpet so that his countless viewers that spanned out throughout the whole of wild space and all the way to the start of the outer rim could get their fair share of luxury yearning.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]A loud kind chuckle was heard from the man with the well-trimmed moustache as he finished an interview with one of the serving twi’leks who had accidently stepped onto the red carpet, flustered attempted to get through, but instead caught by Martin’s countless unmanned holocamera droids. His gaze went dangerously close to the screen after the twi'lek had rushed back into the casino, martin showing off his perfect (or make up’ed) skin as he smiled widely at the camera “Now! Lets see what we really came here for, eh?” He waved the camera to follow him as he turned with the microphone in his hand. Soon his eyes caught the attention of the seemingly struck [member="Aleksandyr Gaillard"] who stood by the carpet.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]“And hallo to ye, Sir!” Martin almost shouted as he comically ran down a few steps towards Aleks, extending his microphone towards the man as his droid cameras, some of the hovering others not, started to circle the two and record. “I must say that’s one interesting look, lovely tie. But can I ask?” He said, finishing off as if he was about to be told a secret, leaning a bit in and hushing his voice dramatically “Why around the shoulder?”[/SIZE]

She gave a tender giggle when he'd called her beautiful before saying "I'm Yuuta. But you can call me whatever you'd like." she held out her hand for him to kiss, obviously wanting him to act as charming as possible with her. She liked when men did that. Cheesy as it was it made her feel all bubbly inside. But then again so did a lot of other things. She noticed him looking at her legs before smirking, making it a duty not to continualy show them off while speaking with him. "Such a fancy name to go with such a handsome face." she commented when he'd introduced himself. "So what brings someone like you out here to this sort of party? Expecting company?"

[member="Seto Du Couteau"]

[Member="Yuuta Namari"]

Seto accepted her hand, gently holding it as he pronounced her name "Yuuta." Trying to fully remember her name, as his lips planted a feather light kiss upon her hand. Seto stood back straight, offering her another smile before letting his cheeks to heat up as she made her comment. Coughing into his hands as he cooled himself off, knowing full well he should know better than to let some small flirtatious observation, no matter how true, to get inside of his head. Seto was a cold hearted business man, Not tonight though He thought next as he cleared his throat.

Gesturing around him with his hands he responded, "We have quite a Casino, and luckily for me I tend to carry around this winning nature, so I don't mind taking risks." His eyes gleamed a tad, "Also I wasn't expecting anyone really, and never did I hope to meet someone as breathtaking as yourself, that I can assure you, so I guess I am very lucky," He added.

Hearing his response she smirked. Since he wasn't exepcting anyone that was a good sign, for her at least. If that were the case then maybe she'd fill the spot of some lucky peice of arm candy for him to show off to the boys. She didn't mind, just as long as she had some results later on. She noted what he's said before asking "Oh? Are you one of the newer members of the Ravens? You must be, because I would've noticed ealier." she winked. Her hand trailed against his shoulder as she continued with "And you're right. You're very lucky indeed."

[Member="Yuuta Namari"]

Eyeing her hand as it lead closer and closer to his own shoulder he turned to face her, "Just a risk taker," Seto responded, easing himself as he leaned against the bar counter. His own hand danced towards hers as he kept his focus on her eyes. "Indeed," He agreed as he went to grab her hand as gently as he could, his eyes staring at her fingers as he asked, "And yourself? Are you a risk taker? Because if so I'm sure we're bound to have an exciting night." Seto looking back Yuuta, his smile growing as he felt quite lucky indeed. He free hand gesturing to the other entertainment available for them here in the casino. The young heir hoped he wouldn't consume too much alcohol, because he was sure he would want to remember tonight perfectly.

Romeo didn't go to these things, mainly because it was Red Ravens, but just this one time he said "The heck with it, I shall go."
His eyes moved left, to right, watching the hordes of people dancing, and drinking their lives away. He stood on a balcony with a small alcoholic drink in his hands.
-I could be gaining some dirt on these people while I am here- Crossed his mind.
He sighed, and took a sip from his drink. The king's thoughts shifted to his ex, and how she would have loved this. Their daughter was happy, and sound asleep at this moment back on his planet. There, hundreds of guards watched over her, her big sister slept in a room across from her, and his cousin was in a room next to hers. That was the only reason he allowed himself this small amount of 'fun'.

As he watched, his sharp eyes caught glimpse of a red dress, and blonde hair.
-No...it couldnt be...- He thought to himself.
There was no way that his ex was really here, he had not heard from her in years.
"I need another drink.." He said with wide eyes, but never actually got another drink. The music was loud, even from here it was too loud. He took a deep breath. It couldnt have been her.

You know when some people say they are in the zone? Whether it be on the battlefield or on the dance floor, well that statement was only half true for Patricia when she danced. Patricia wasn't in the zone, she lived in it with a mortgage and everything. The blone swayed her hair and hips in time with the blaring beat of the bass and drums. It had been years since she had danced and partied like this, not since the sith attacked Manaan and she had given birth to her daughter. However in light of recent events and even her body language showed something a bit darker.

Zeltros was trashed and the republic was losing the war against the One Sith, billions were dead and a lot of those people who were dead were her friends in the agency. Her movements weren't that of someone taking a little break for a fun time sneaking out in the middle of the night to go play spin the bottle. They were the movements of someone who just didn't care anymore, who could see the end was coming. So they got as loaded as they could and danced their ass off before the end came. And that's what she was doing, getting it all in.

Looking up at just the right moment Patricia's gaze met a pretty decent looking man who tried to pick her up with a single line to no doubt work her over to the bar and pour drinks down her throat. That was all fine and dandy but she had not had her fill of dancing and her mortgage had another few minutes before she moved out of the zone. And she wasn't going to let this man get what he wanted that easy, even though he was staring at her with those gorgeous green eyes. Patricia shot back her own little look and a dry little grin, her piercing blue angelic eyes met the man's in a direct stare. But rather than mouthing anything back she of course did began to slowly writhe down to the floor her hips and body swaying quite pleasantly in tune with everything around her. And on her way back up she curled a single finger at him, if he wanted what Patricia thought he wanted. He was going to have to party for it and not just chat her up over drinks. Though there was this strange feeling that washed over Patricia, the the feel of a beautiful song one had not heard in a very long time. It was probably nothing though

The more she talked the more she felt as though she was sinking her claws into [member="Seto Du Couteau"] . It was probably true, thanks to the fact he seemed more and more interested in her, which she had no problem with. If this boy was just a risk taker than he was no one important. That was a mix of good and bad, both for him and her. As he took her hand again she smiled, her drink just now coming back after be refilled when she'd asked ealier. She reached out with her free hand to take it before pulling the other one away, taunting Seto as she turned to the bar so her butt would stick out.

"I'm something a lot worse than a risk taker." she said, sipping her drink. "I'm reckless." she winked.

[Member="Yuuta Namari"]

Raising an eyebrow as Seto gives an eyeful of what's presented before looking back up as quickly as he could, give a small chuckle as he nodded. "Of course, reckless indeed" He responded, giving himself a mental shake he realized he was indeed getting tad too distracted at the moment. Clasping his fingers in front of him he stretched out his arms as he moved forward and gave a turned his head to view as much as the casino that he could before finding a sabaac table he had targeted. His mischievous grin appeared, plastered across his face, he did not think a risk taker was anything wrong but evidently she seemed something else entirely. Rather than to think too long on anything but gambling he smiled towards Yuuta, slowly making his way to the table, "Time to quench my thirst for a thrill then, else I get bored quite fast at most parties," He said as he gestured towards the Sabaac table he was walking towards. His hand went to his pockets as he readied his chips, Seto made a fist in front of himself to ready his own poker face.

Aleksandyr who was speaking with [member="Cryax Bane"] turned to the sound of an other man. He hadn't recognized the personality before, after all he lived deep in Republic space and only just became aware of the Ravens a few days before we met with their President Alek smiled towards the holocams and immediately realized this man was a member of press; an experience he was not unused to. In fact it reminded him well of when he first took over his father's company; a row of reporters and personalities had to ask all the big questions. "Is it true your father was murdered?", had been the most common so having someone talk about his fashion gesture was far more comforting. Looking down to his shoulder slightly and back to Martin he spoke, "Well, why not? Everyone puts a tie around their neck: I'm experimenting, It's what I do.", his response wasn't too carefully thought up but he did have plenty of experience talking with members of press. Look them in the eyes, pretend the holocams don't exist, and most of all don't be yourself.

Although he only came here as a courtesy towards Cryax, Aleksandyr was beginning to feel more and more at home. The casino, the attention, and assortment of fine aliens was all he could've hoped for.

Yuuta turned as he did, seeing as he eyed the table; among other things. She smirked, knowing he'd seen what she presented to him. As he walked over, saying how he was trying his luck at the tables, she followed. In a swift motion she'd brought her arm under his and locked the two together to look as if they were walking like a couple. Her other hand still managed to hold both her drink and her little purse she carried with her as well. "I'll join you." she said. "I'll even blow on your dice and cards for good luck." she winked.

Upon the balcony, Romeo was watching closer, and found himself pondering whether or not the red dressed woman was in fact the person he thought she was. -Could be a man with a slender body..- he made a small joke to himself. His eyes the spotted another person, a man, attempting to woo said lady. -Either it's trap, or it is a woman..- he chuckled to himself. Against his better judgement, Romeo began his decent down the stairs that lead to the dance floor, and bar. On his way, a few drunk women made passes at him, he kindly brushed them off, and continued his way down the stairs. He had to be careful not to gain too much attention, that was just the exact thing he did not need.
Red Ravens had been known to associate with One Sith, and vise versa. That meant he was deep in the enemy territory, but the party had a strict no fighting policy. -Well better the live in the moment, then live in fear.- he thought to himself. The music boomed more loudly now in his ears, and his eyes were glowing a more intense red now. He hated the loud music, he didnt hate what it was, just the volume of the music.

Now Romeo was on the dance floor, realising there was way more people down here then he had thought. The Dark Jedi King made his way to the bar on the dance floor, and sat at it. Turned his back to the crowd for a moment to order, and turned back to watch the people dance.
"It's amazing what a little bit of fame, and money can get you.." He said more to himself.
His drink arrived, he tipped the bartender, and sipped on his light drink. He might as well get a buzz going for the hell of it.
"Bartender, wouldnt happen to know why the Ravens have issued this party would you?" The man shook his head. "Im just hired help sir, I dont know anything other then what numbers should be on my paycheck." The bartender went back to his duties. -Interesting..- He thought to himself.

The cantina was abuzz with activity, and if one knew how to get in undetected, on such a busy night, it wasn't hard. He had done some work beforehand, and had an assistant on the inside here. Natasha had gotten a job as a server two weeks ago, and was working tonight. Good, he could use someone to deliver tonight.

A small group of "friends", just some businessmen he had convinced to work with him, one by one entered the checkpoint. The Bothan was the last man in, Stopping to place his Datapad in the tray, he walked through the checkpoint. The ring in his satchel set it off, but once they saw it, they thought nothing of it. After all, what can a simple ring do, right? If only they knew.

As the four of them, discussing business as usual, made their way to the table, Strask shut his eyes for a second. The Familiar showed him the room. Pearched in the rafters, it had a literal bird's eye view of the cantina proper. A good advantage. Natasha knew where he was. She'd deliver soon enough.

Walking in a pair Seto quickly found his open spot at the table, he looked at the dealer and offered him a quick nod as he pulled out his credits and handed them over to the dealer. Looking at Yuuta, "Good luck huh?" Seto asked with a grin, turning to look at his hand chuckled. Whispering to Yuuta, "Remember what I said, I have a winning nature, no luck needed for me," Of course when it came to card games and other gambling games he tended to default towards the making of his own luck. Seto threw another five hundred to complete his bet, his eyes focusing on each member to see who would hesitate to call and who were folding. His mind focused on the game, his grin still plastered but it didn't meet his eyes as he waited for his next set of cards. Raised his bet once and once more and more people folded, inside he smirked but kept his same grin he wore when he first arrived. "You call next hand?" Seto asked.
