Ahch-To, Training Begins

Kalyn looked up as her Master explained what was about to go down in the next few minutes. She nodded after hearing the plan, knowing she needed to get those doors open or else it wasn't going to be a pretty ending for any of them. She feared she wouldn't be able to get to the doors in the case one of the creatures started to go after her, but she remembered her Master was going to distract them, that should be a long enough break for her to get to the doors. It wasn't that hard of a task, she kept telling herself that to stay calm and optimistic. All she had to do was get across to the control room and open up the hanger doors easy peasy. She was confident everything would go according to plan, she just had to listen to the instructions given to her and to not get cocky along the way. Making sure her saber was within arms reach she looked to her Master and nodded, signalling she was ready to put the plan in motion.

She was ready and so was he, motioning for her to go off and begin as he dropped down with crash into one of the creatures and she could see them in the force as it was moving. Hand gripping a bony plate as he pulled and planted his feet to fling them into another. THe force enhancing the strength he had when one of the creatures roared and came charging at him. THe jedi master moved towards the far wall getting some of the others to follow as he was moving up to dig a boot inot the wall and leap up, around throwing out a kinetite ball of energy to smash one into a paste. Everything to make the distraction and the loud noises so that they would be following him instead of his padawan who was able to go and do her part of the plan.

As soon as she watched her Master drop down and interact with the creatures she moved into action, making sure she was on time to do her part of the plan. She jumped forward, flipping before landing in a crouched position. Her head snapped to her right as she saw he Master throwing the creatures into each other. Not spending a long time spectating, she broke into a sprint, dashing towards the control room and from there she'd be able to open up the hanger doors. Utilising the Force to see in the dark space she noticed one of the creatures charging in her direction, whether it was to get at her or join the ruckus her Master was creating was beyond her, but either way she didn't have time to deal with it. If the beast was charging after her however she wouldn't be able to simply move to the side as it ran by, she needed a way to swiftly dodge the creature and continue to the control room. She scanned her surroundings for a possible way out, realising she was rather close to the wall she used the momentum and Force to help run up and along the wall and finally jumping and flipping over the creature.

Finally making it to the control room she scanned the room frantically, finally finding the button she wanted and hitting it as the hanger doors began to open. She quickly exited, checking to see if her Master would need any help. "Master! The doors are open!" She shouted notifying him that she'd been able to get to the control room.

He could feel her moving and he could see as she moved to get to the control room. The force was guiding him and allowing the jedi master to move when he got towards the wall and the doors were opening. The sound of the heavy hanger doors and the guiding lights. Warnng klaxons to stand clear of the opening doors when the first hints of lights started coming through to illuminate the hanger. His padawan had done well in this before he jumped off the wall coming around and punching a large beast into the middle fo the room with his fist. The power of the force flowing through the armored sections of his pants that he wore when they were like a beacon in the force attracting the creatures to come after him. He could feel the people outside of the hanger as there were large creatures before the sounds of blaster fire and attacks to them. He was moving behind some of the creatures leaping up to the catwalk and heading towards the control room to make sure his padawan was safe with a nod of his head. "You have done well." The Hapens knew how to handle things and the sheer cannons worth of fire power they used to tear up some of the creatures attested to that before he was motioning to remain in there. Waiting for the shots to stop firing. He waited to see her though with a small smirk. "So how do you feel about your first mission with the jedi?"

She watched as her Master started on his path towards her, she saw one of the creatures getting in the way of her Masters path. Kalyn took a step forward contemplating whether to help out her Master or not. Soon enough though she watched as he jumped off the wall and punched the large creature knocking it out of his way. She stepped back coming to the conclusion her Master was the last person who needed help getting out of situations. She watched, impressed and soon enough he was back by her side. "Thankyou Master!" She said happily with a bright smile as he praised her. She winced slightly from the noise as the weaponry from the Hapens went off, firing at all the creatures that were about. She looked up as her Master spoke after the shots ceased firing. "I'm enjoying it quite a lot to be honest! It's different to what I thought though. Every time I heard stories about the Jedi there's almost always a Sith involved." She admitted, then after thinking about it for a moment, "though, I guess I am just a padawan." She rubbed the back of her neck before her curiosity started to spike, a question popping into her mind. "How many Sith have you encountered and had to deal with?"

He was looking at her while the Hapens were mopping up. A small smirk appearing on his face but he moved over tos tand next to her and place a small hand on her shoulder. "You are young padawa, there will be plenty of chances to face sith. They are as numerous in the galaxy as they are." He was thinking about the second part of the question though and it wasn't exactly easy to answer. "A great many, I am told I appear young to human but I have been around for a very long time. I have lost count in many cases but the ones who come around now are less troublesom then those in the past. They seem more interested in trying to be offended and gain sympathy then doing as their predecessors did. With basic training the ones now lose a great deal of their implied power, something many jedi who have fallen disregard as they want to be servants of the darkside." He motioned for her and there was a chance when The Hapen's were leaving them a place to look around. "Your skills will grow and if you want to see more of the sith, I can take you to where I was born long ago. There is more then enough there to see the dangers of the darkside."

She looked up at him, noticing a small an quick smirk across his face causing her to smile in curiosity before he placed his hand on her shoulder. She thought about what he said, nodding lightly to herself. Sith were much alike the Jedi, in the sense that Jedi were continuously growing, constantly welcoming new Force users. Similar to the Sith, who constantly grew in numbers. Therefore there would always be a Sith somewhere in the galaxy in need of a Jedi to stop them, she would get her chance to make a difference she told herself. She returned to the present, paying attention to her Master as he spoke once again he listened intently and carefully to everything he said, doing her best to absorb all the information fed to her. She followed with him, following his lead as the Hapens moved aside. Her head perked up in excitement when her Master offered to take her to his birthplace, in order to see more about the Sith. "Yes! That would be amazing, thankyou Master." She said with with a curt nod at the end.

Hmm her being eager like that while she was moving now. Sticking around until he presenting the open area. Looking over to see the other Hapens when they were finsihing getting set up. So that they would be able to start going in here to clear out the base here. Minerva was working with the soldiers and coordinating them as she spoke seeing the two fo them. "Good work you two, master jedi if you are going to bring around talented padawan learners. We might welcome you back around here as well. Show some of that legendary skill that you brought when we fought against pirates a few hundred years ago.... or just the last decade." She said it and he stood there with a look on his face before she was walking away. He looked back at her and was motioning for Kalyn. "We should head off, my experience with Hapen women if they take an interest means they have ulterior plans and I don't want to be kept in another commanders estate again as a consort."

Kalyn watched as Minerva approached and spoke to the two of them, praising them for their work efforts done here. Kalyn smiled at the indirect compliment Minerva threw into her speech and straightened up a little. She listened as she continued talking about a fight against pirates that her Master had supposedly helped in. Her head tilted to the side slightly in curiosity. Once Minerva left the duo, her Master indicating for them to leave, she looked up to him as she walked by his side, "What happened here with the pirates?" She asked, her curiosity seemingly unable to stop. Another thought popped into her head, "Also, where will we be off to from here? Will we be heading to your homeworld now? Or is that for a later time?" She asked, more questions falling out.

He was looking at her and walking. "A long time ago, I helped repel some pirates and the military commander was impressed so much so she said she wanted to thank you... I dind't know that she was claiming me as her consort. Their version of marriage and the jedi order wanted to have good relations so they assigned me to be one of the jedi here in the Consotium for a few decades." He said it and a few hundred years ago passed before he had a chance to go out and return back to the rest of the galaxy. For him it was a vacation at least so that the jedi master himeself would be able to go. With the ship leading them back and he could see some of the other soldiers moving around the ship. He was all for helping it here when he looked at his padawan. "The women of the Consortium can be very ruthless if they want something."

She listened intently to every word her master said. "Consort!? Like, husband?!" She had to repeat the word and translate it to something more basic in order to make sure she head right, appalled by what he was telling her. "How is that equivalent to showing thanks to you? Tricking you into an unwanted marriage." She questioned, to no one in particular, still trying to wrap her head around it. She couldn't believe the Council had made her Master go ahead with it simply to have good relations with the colony, seemed unfair. She continued to listen to the story nevertheless, "Yeh...these guys definitely aren't my favourite species." She concluded, not taking a liking to the women of the Consortium, folding her arms as she said it.

He was looking at her and gave a nod of his head. It wasn't the greatest thing but Hapes was one of those places where if you dind't like what they did they usually made it clear you could leave or they would remove you. He had found it a compliment for a very female centric group who didn't acknowledge a number of males to say he was good enough for that and the order didn't always look favorably on him as a jedi for his past. He knew there could be a lot of it when he spoke. "It was supposed to be a compliment I guess." He said it but heading back and having a chance for them in the ship to talk without members of the Hapen military heading to them and getting the new course for where they were heading. Back towards the outer rim but he could do a lot before motioning and giving her a chance to come and train her skills. "We'll work on what you learned and make you better with the skills you showed."

As the duo approached the ship she acknowledged her Master, as he said they'd work on her skills further more, training. She nodded, eager to begin expanding her skills and fighting knowledge, that, and she was content with the idea of departing from the less than pleasant planet. Entering the cockpit she looked around at all the controls along the panel at the front, not at anything in particular, just getting accustomed to the ship and its many properties. "Will we be heading anywhere in particular now that we're done here?" She asked curiously. The thought of her Masters old birthplace plaguing the back of her mind as she asked the question. "..Just an unrelated question, where exactly is your birthplace?" She asked, curious about her Master and his past. Though she was careful not to pry so much into his past as she new better than anyone that not everyone's past is one they are willing to return to.

He was looking at her for a moment and how best to describe his world... well it wasn't exactly easy as he was blind so he had never really seen it but he had lived it. he had been there and setting the course with the computer before he spoke. "It is a place of danger and pain. Many who walk on the surface of it don't survive or are shaped and twisted into something far more dangerous then many others can face." He said it but was leading the way towards the training room on the ship while they started to head off. Getting the clearances from the Hapens before he finished. "It is not an easy place to be and some of the creatures can be very dangerous but it does make you something stronger then many others and it shapes the skills you have for survival." He entered the room and she had shown her skills in the facility as they went through it. Patience, power and cunning where it was needed as opposed to just trying to do everything on your own. He was glad about that as it meant she wasn't going to endanger herself when the jedi master stood there and was ready for anything. "You showed skill and intelligence in the base. You dind't rush into a fight nor did you overthink and lead yourself into inaction. So we will be able to shape that and make it into something stronger."

Hearing what her Master said about his birthworld, as they walked towards the training room. She thought about the world he described to her, a dangerous one. Though, a world that seemed to sit somewhere in the middle of being helpful in expanding ones survival instincts and merely twisting someone into a monster. She could sense in his voice there was something about his birthworld that seemed off, she seemed to hear a slight strain in his voice when he spoke about the dangers and pain that came from being on the world. She decided not to delve any deeper into it. He then changed the topic to something a little more lighthearted, her training. She smiled and nodded in gratitude, happy with her performance earlier on. She had known herself to be impulsive at times, acting without any thought, especially before being introduced to the Jedi but she'd made an effort to overcome those traits, knowing that one day she may be putting more than her own life at risk due to the actions. "Thank you Master, I know at times I may be hasty and act before thinking, you'll have to forgive me if that occurs. I am trying to stop that habit."

"It is quite alright, it is what ones goes through when they are young. Most will grow out of it. They learn from their experiences what can be done and how best to do it without wasting the energy." He couldn't fault her, it was experience that taught him how to pace himself and how to prepare his body to longer and longer battles. It wasn't some great secret though before she moved around in he room. He was prepared for any number of things that they might be able to do. "Though for you, it will be experience that will come to you. One should press and try to learn as much as they can. Never stop or allow yourself to become stagnate in your knowledge and experiences. Otherwise you can become like many of the other jedi masters I have encountered. THey sit around and only want specifics compared to wanting to help out everyone." He was prepared standing there as he had one of his sabers and held it out for her to see it, with the pale purple blade appearing. "We'll start with some basic skills for the saber."

She listened to him, taking in what he said about experiences being the things to advance our own understanding of ourselves. Knowing when it was the right time to act and when the time called for a slower advance. She continued to listen as her Master began talking about a specific few of Jedi Masters who he'd described as stagnate. It sparked her interest, what he said about them. "Do you always agree with the way the Order works?" She asked, wondering if the Order and it's members were always of somewhat one mind. Whilst absorbing all the information and advice her Master said and responding with her own question she didn't take notice of him going for his saber. As she jumped ever so slightly as the blade cackled and burst to life. Though her quick episode of shock was instantly overrun by curiosity and amazement. Her eyes, full of wonder, studied the hilt in his hand. She traced every bit of it every detail with her eyes as if drawing the image in her head. She made her way to the top of the hilt and found herself staring at the glowing blade, following it up to the very tip of it. Her eyes then darted back to her Master when he explained what they'd be starting off with. "Really? Yes!" She whispered to herself in a cheer, lightsaber combat always excited her. "Where do we start?" She asked, a maturity to her voice, she was ready to be taught, to be disciplined in a constructive way, ready to learn.

He was looking at her and it was something to describe. The order itself was usually not the problem. The attitude some had with it, he had seen jedi who loved to talk and rattle off all of the things that was wrong but when offered a chance to fix it they were mysteriously quiet and suddenly didn't want to share their great secret to fixing things. Others he had seen wanted to just change everything and be the radical to the point they were essentially a sith in disguise and doing it badly. No sub tle manipulation just plain as day want to do this. "It is not the Order that is the problem, the jedi order stands as a beacon for hope and light. It will help everyone it can from the lowest dreg in society to the most influential being in the galaxy. All are equal in the eyes of the order but the order is itself not a living breathing entity. It has people, thousands of minds all focused and bringing thoughts, ideas and information around with their opinions and how they should or would do things. From the very orthodox jedi master who believes we should only study the force and not involve ourselves with things, to the liberal who wants to be involved in every facet of the galaxy regardless of how thin that will stretch the orders resources." He was watching and listening to her though as he moved around a little with the blade. "The different opinions, the different ideas are what give the order itself life and I have seen a lot of different types of jedi emerge from within the order itself. Soem for the betterment and some who were not really jedi they just thought it looked better the untrained force user." He wouldn't go into names and specifics but he had a chance to train her now to hopefully be better then he was so that would serve a purpose with a small grin on his face. "With a lightsaber we start at the most basic and ideal of it. A jedi's tooll to help you, to protect you and the innocent, a weapon at times to after you have exhausted option after option to handle the wicked. It is dangerous, powerful but also something very easily to lose sight of because of how natural it becomes part of you."
