Ahch-To, Training Begins

Kalyn made her way to the front of the newly rebuilt temple and looked around, but failed to find her new Master. She assumed he simply wasn't here yet or was busy with Jedi business. She couldn't help but feel extremely excited for her Jedi training, but more importantly meeting her new long-term Master, Syn. She tried her hardest to remain calm and took to the front of the temple, kneeling on the ground and waiting patiently.

The jedi master stretched out when he was there and here on the planet as much as he hated a lot of water the new temple that had been rebuilt and restored was important. He imaged some would take anything as offense but he was ready. Wearing the armored synth mesh pants with boots as he was walking keeping his equipment minimal with the utility belt prepared for anything. he had his sabers on his hip before coming out of the one area with his sash on and wearing the fell star on his torso. A new padawan meant some regular work but he liked to get them in and taught before some of the other masters had a chance... At least before the other ones talked about understanding and how the darkside wasn't all that different or some poodoo like that because they had a conversation with a sith lord and he explained stuff you wouldn't understand.... Surprisingly that was one of the big things people had to defend themselves. "Welcome padawan."

Kalyn heard the unfamiliar voice of the one that she would come to recognise over time. Her head popped up and snapped towards the male figure. She rose from the ground and smiled towards the man. "Hello Master Syn" She greeted with a curt nod, doing her best to stay calm. She took a few small steps forward, closing the gap between the two. "Thankyou, for agreeing to train me. I promise I won't disappoint you." She said confidently.

Hmm seeing her and he thought about how best to train her. The obvious method would be to use one fo the new rebuilt areas here but there was a lot more that could be offered specifically with what they could go out and do when he turned around motioning for her to follow with his hand. "Then it should be a very productive training regiment." Walking while he allowed the force to go out he led the way through the build areas to one of the larger chambers looking out over the ocean that the jedi could train it. The breeze there as well as the calmness of the water to relax you. "Now we'll get the basics out of the way and then head offworld. There is more things to handle in the galaxy and the people like having jedi around most of the time."

Kalyn was excited to hear they wouldn't be wasting any time. She knew this wasn't going to be easy and she knew she would do everything she could to prevail successfully in her training. She closed her eyes as her surroundings made their way to her ears, the waves swimming up towards shore and sliding back into the ocean as well as the cool breeze, whistling as it passed by. She opened her eyes once again and turned her head towards her Master, tilting it slightly in curiosity, "If I may ask, where will we be heading once we head offworld?" She asked politely.

He looked at her and removing one of the blades on his waist set it to low power before watching to see what was being done. "We'll be heading out to some fo the outer rim worlds. Specifically Hapes has some work for all of us to do since they have no more influence from the sith or the republic." He had seen some fo the things that they were doing before the jedi were asked. Some of the Hapes students who were jedi came around here and working with them to get at their supply of watts classes would give the jedi some small advantages to bolstering the fleeting resources of the order to defend planets. "And well since the sith were there, there is a small chance they deployed sithspawn on the worlds."

"Sithspawn? Creatures made from Sith Alchemy?" She asked excitedly. She was eager to get into some action. She felt she had a point to prove to the whole Jedi council. She was lucky the Jedi who saved her from the Slave Trade managed to convince them to allow her to be trained, despite her age. The council didn't believe she'd be able to grasp the way of the force fast enough. But she was determined to prove them wrong.

She was looking at her with raised eyebrow but if she was that excited to battle sithspawn it would be an interesting thing. "yes they can be interesting." He was generally going around and fighting the creatures himself with one or two chances that padawans might appear with hi. he went around with a few other jedi from time to time but standing there he presented the llightsaber for her to use and practice with. "But one of the important things we need to do is protect yourself." He wasn't going to take her into a dangerous situation like this. The twin synthmesh blades he was usually using now served a far better purpose as he had been developing new stuff.

She held her hand out as the weapon was presented to her. She took a hold of the hilt, examining it, utterly fascinated by the surprisingly lightweight weapon. She looked up at Syn, "Thankyou." She thanked politely before returning to her fascination of the object. She'd always heard stories of the Jedi and how their weapon, the lightsaber, could be so elegant and beautiful yet strong and full of power. She was excited to begin learning the art of the weapon. She held the hilt in her right hand, both her hands by her side and looked up to her Master confidently. "I'm ready."

Good then, he stood opposite her and holding the blade hilt with both hands focused on the hilt to activate the saber. The pressure grip was there as was the normal trap stud as he showed where to flick it so she wouldn't get a jolt. "Find a position you can be comfortable with and activate the blade. It is activated by pressure with a trap stud so only those I want to have it can activate it." He remained there while the saber activated with a snap hiss. The pale purple energy blade ready to defend as he went to the jedi ready stance to prepare and be there.

Kalyn nodded, understanding his instructions. She held the hilt of the weapon with her right hand towards the bottom and her left on top. She stayed in that position for a second or two before swapping her hands around leaving the left hand at the bottom and the right at the top, concluding that this was more comfortable. She looked down at the saber in her hands and focused on activating it. She applied pressure to the grip on the saber and soon enough, like lighting, the glowing blade shot out with a hiss. Kalyn took a step back slightly startled from the sudden activation, but her excitement and sense of achievement clouded all of that. She then took a quick glance at her Master and mimicked his ready stance.

Walking her in the force while she was moving around the jedi master prepared himself with a small look while he held the blade at the ready moving it. They had a lot of work to do here as he spoke. "Take it slow and be careful the power setting is low so that you will not be able to sever your limbs but that doesn't mean you should be careless with it." He moved the blade to the left rotating it slowly so she would be able to follow before moving with his footing to circle around them in the small area. He could move around and letting the force flow all around them he let his body channel the force into his muscles as they bulked to show the force enhancement.

Kalyn was worried about causing harm to herself, the fact she would be unable to sever any limbs was slightly reassuring but didn't make the experience any less nerve racking. Nevertheless she didn't show any hesitation or timidness she followed the glowing blade with her eyes as her Master moved it in a rhythmical way. She copied the slow movement, slower than the demonstration. After she was confident and comfortable with how her saber was moving around her she nodded to herself. She then presumed to following the footing which she found slightly more difficult, coordinating her footing whilst still keeping her saber going, after a couple attempts she finally started to flow with the movement. What started out as difficult and somewhat intricate turned into second nature. The only thing she felt he was failing to do was allowing the Force to flow through her and channelling it into her body. She saw and sensed how it'd enhanced her Master, though she felt no different.

He could see how she was moving and learning it. His own movements to give focus on before he was speaking and letting the time pass. "As you move and can feel the force let it enter your body, fill your lungs, move your muscles and seep into the bones until every part of you is channeling it. When a jedi duels they are never alone even when they are surrounded by enemies." His focus was on making sure she was able to channel the force into something better when dueling and moving should also help with the coordination you got from it. Letting the force guide your feet while you were watching an opponent move was like an instinct that came to you instead of just another part of i.

Kalyn took in every word that he was saying to her, every detail that he'd mention. She then closed her eyes, whilst still moving around slowly and tried to relax in order to allow the Force to move within her. She continued this until, suddenly, she felt a notable difference, she felt lighter yet stronger at the same time. Her movements started to flow smoothly, as the Force had this sort of control over her, making her each and every movement more precise and accurate. She could feel the Force around and in her. She opened her eyes and saw that she was moving more like a Jedi, smoothly, naturally.

He could feel her moving and that was what she needed to be able to do while he was making the same movements for himself and increasing the speed to let her match it eventually then they could mark it all up. A few more rotations and times doing it until it was routine and almost boring but the speed of which would eventually hopefully for her become blindingly fast. It sets everything up and the more she opened herself to the force the more she would be able to channel it to her form and body to enhance her speed. "Now as you open yourself up feel the force flowing through you and allow it to fill every fiber of your being, let it empower and enhance your muscles to make you stronger, faster."

Syn's increased speed made it almost impossible for Kalyn to keep up, she was struggling to do so. The speed that the two were going at created a flurry of light as the lightsabers moved in the air. Until Syn spoke of the Force once again, letting it fill 'every fibre of your being'. Kalyn continued moving and breathed in and out, her breathing steady. As she exhaled she dropped down all her guards and felt the Force flow through her body, from the centre of her body all the way out to her fingertips. She let it fill every inch of her body, she noticed she felt stronger as the power seeped into her muscles. She moved faster and more precisely. She saw that she was no longer struggling with keeping up with her Master and was now moving at an equal speed.

He could keep up the energy and the focus, wanting to do it but also show how best to improve upon what you were doing. "Now as you haave speed and your body is calm start to move with your footing. Use the force to guide your feet so it is clear from obstructions that will be in your way." She was good, skilled even and he could admit it as they were moving. Getting her some of her own custom robes for this after they are here she should be able to start defending and will have the reflexes needed to block. "The other moments you want to do is start thinking about what you want from the jedi, what you want to learn and have be your ultimate goals within the order. The force and how you use it should become something natural to your body that you can use without thought."

Kalyn nodded and began to move with her feet, like water her movements were so fluid from allowing the Force to guide her in her movement. Every step, every muscle moved, made more precise and fluid from the Force. It guided her. Almost as if it were in control, making sure she didn't trip up, making every step perfect. She continued to move whilst her Master spoke to her about the Jedi and what she wanted from them. She thought about this, what did she want? Ultimately her goal within the Jedi was personal, as most are. Living in Slave Trade she felt she wanted the ability to protect herself and others, so that no one would have to suffer as she did. She thought of the force more as apart of her rather than a utensil in battle. Something that comes naturally rather than forced.

He could almost see the wheels within her mind turning as she moved and that was good. The force as a natural part of what you were doing was essential to many things and with the jei it should be important... THough he dind't discount the jedi's tech division when it came to making gadgets for them to be able to do things. It compensated for some who were not able to match others in certain skills. Like with his blindness his senses were heightened compared to the others. Gave him a lot more that he was able to do as the jedi master moved with her and was matching her movements. "Good good." He remained focused and sank into that ebb and flow fo the force mtching what she was doing instead of leading her and allowing his body to adjust as needed to channel the force around them both.
