Steel is Truer Than Legacy
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

+ Weapon Proficiency:
Adonis has been a soldier since before he can remember. Coming from a proud military family, he was raised to be able to handle all types of blasters and blades. He feels most comfortable with a blaster rifle or slughtrower in his hands, but can easily switch to close up combat with his lightsaber or a war blade.

+Strength: Having trained his entire life, Adonis is quite strong. He is able to wear his heavy armor without much restriction to his movement thanks to the Force and his natural muscles.

+Aristocracy: Adonis IV grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth, and has learned many languages and can blend in with high society if needed. Though he prefers to keep that to himself among Mandos.

_____________________________

-Reliance on Force: While gifted, his style is heavily dependent on Force-enhanced bursts of speed or strength (a classic Vanguard flaw). In Force-suppressed zones or when fatigued, his precision drops significantly.

-Legacy Complex: Despite rejecting his lineage, Adonis subconsciously seeks to validate or outshine it. This leaves him vulnerable to manipulation by those who dangle honor, redemption, or remembrance before him.

BIOGRAPHY:

Adonis Angelis IV
—a name that, for many, carries the weight of strength, conviction, and unwavering loyalty. But for others, it drips with the bitter sting of betrayal.

Adonis is not Mandalorian by blood, no, he comes from a long line of Alliance supporters. His loyalty to the the faction comes from an awakening he had recently. There is a long history to his joining, and it is steeped in political intrigue and warfare.

The Founder: Adonis Angelis I

His great-grandfather, born during the waning years of the Gulag Plague, rose to prominence as a military commander. While many Vaalians chose to remain aligned with the Mandalorians who had helped them survive the devastation, Adonis I led the push to return Vaal to the Galactic fold, siding with the Republic during its reconstitution. His actions helped establish the Angelis name as defenders of the Republic, but also marked them as outsiders in a world that never truly trusted them.

The Defender: Adonis Angelis II

His grandfather, cut from the same cloth, followed in his father's footsteps. During the era of Galactic Alliance and its expansionism, he fought against Mandalorian incursions, helping to defend Alliance territories, even as the Alliance absorbed entire sectors unchecked. His work reinforced the Angelis name on Vaal, painting it as synonymous with Republic loyalty. That loyalty, however, came at a social cost: the Angelis family remained unpopular among the Mandalorian-loyalist population of Vaal, protected only by their wealth and status.

The Martyr: Adonis Angelis III

Adonis IV's father may be the most tragic figure in the family's lineage. A staunch supporter of the Republic, he remained loyal even when the Mandalorians controlled Vaal politically. Though he kept his distance from direct politics to avoid exile, he funneled credits into pro-Alliance causes, always vocal in his support.

When Adonis IV was born, the family was at its peak—wealthy, respected, and well-established, with Adonis III as the head of House Angelis and his son groomed to take his place. Raised in luxury, Adonis IV was given everything: combat training in blades and blasters, lessons in negotiation, etiquette, and leadership. He was a military heir wrapped in velvet, he was a warrior molded in a palace.

But peace, as it always does, came to an end.

The Breaking Point

At the age of twenty, Adonis IV watched his world erupt in fire. War returned to Vaal with the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorians waging a brutal, month-long battle for control. Casualties mounted on both sides. Tensions burned between everyone on Vaal, the Mandalorians were making desperate political choices and make examples out of certain people.

One of those people was the always vocal Adonis III, and he was charged with treason by the Mandalorian-led local government. But rather than help him and his family flee to safety, he was approached by the Alliance. They promised him a seat in the Senate if he publicly reaffirmed his loyalty and help sway the people's opinion.

He did as they asked. He went public, openly endorsing the Alliance. His words shifted the tide of public opinion for many on the fence, seeing someone stick to their support of the Alliance even under censure. The Mandalorians responded by doing what they said they were going to do, and executed his father

The Alliance ended up winning the skirmish, but not the war. Vaal still remains independent to this day.

Adonis III had died for nothing. The Alliance never acknowledged his sacrifice. He had became a forgotten martyr, a name never mentioned in their records. Just like that, Adonis IV who had once been a perfect heir, was left with a shattered family who was looking to him to back the same Alliance that had just cast his father aside like a pawn in a game.

The Breaker: Adonis Angelis IV

The experience radicalized Adonis. The Alliance he had been raised to revere was no different from any other empire, draped in rhetoric about peace while leaving its own dead in the dust. At least the Mandalorians were honest. They fought for their own. They sought glory, not empty promises.

Adonis rejected everything his family stood for. He left the estate and was swiftly exiled by the surviving branches of House Angelis. He made his choice, and he made it proudly.

He chose Creed over blood.

The young man was set to pledge himself to the Mandalorians and the path of the warrior. Not for conquest, but for conviction. In doing so, he became a pariah among his own people, a symbol of disgrace or transformation, depending on who tells the story. Whatever they though of him, Adonis knew he was doing the right thing, he was sure of it.

Now the Angelis line teeters on the edge of change. Will Adonis reshape his family's destiny, or be struck from the record entirely, erased, as if Adonis III had never sired an heir?

Only time will tell.
