Utopia Now is more written as an essay or a thesis than it is any kind of novel, designed more for scholarly interpretation and debate than to be red by the everyday person.
CONTENT INFORMATION
The Cause: Within the book Adaer makes a case for what she refers to as Communalism, an ideology promoting the dissolution of any formal government and instead relying on small organizations henceforth called Communities to distribute goods, enforce laws, and collect votes for things of policy, law, or even declaration of war. She makes the case that two institutions within the galaxy had run rampant and effectively oppressed entire planets, those being large unregulated governments and capitalistic greed. Communalism sees the end of both being that any government is massively decentralized, and instead of having to work to earn money to survive the government assures that every citizen has the necessities of life: Food, Water, and Housing rather then them being something that must be earned and that resources (land, minerals/alloys, flora/fauna, etc) be shared communaly rather than individuals having any particular say with what to do with them.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The book, although recent, has been adopted by a few around the holo-net who debate its intricacies and practical applications vigorously. It is believed that Adaer took the final and actual written copy back to Dronto ol Frero, her homeworld, where it would ultimately serve as the basis of the revolution known as the People's Revolutionary Army seeking to make her ideals a reality.

This paper ultimately saw her gain the first of a few doctorates she would gain over her lifetime, and through each one she would return to the original paper to edit and update it with what knowledge she had gained.
