Chi'no Su
Extra Ordinary
Traveling was very expensive, it turns out. Chi'no had gotten used to how much she traveled working her last flight attendant job, but ever since getting laid off she found herself struggling to get from place to place. She needed to get herself somewhere she could work and make a decent earning so she could replace everything she lost when the Galactic Empire took Sacorria. Not that she really owned much in her run down apartment, but it was a nice place to have to go back to. Naboo was her best bet for work, she thought. So many tourists that some random restaurant would surely be looking for more staff.
At the moment she was sat in a small bar on Toshara, her eyes glued to her datapad as she scrolled through inexpensive options for travel that would take her the rest of the way there. It was a bit mind numbing, so much so that she could feel her eyes beginning to glaze over. With each new travel offering she saw, Chi'no felt her wallet become thinner and thinner. How was she supposed to get anywhere? At this point she should start considering selling a few of her things to cover the cost...
While her attention was taken by her fruitless efforts to find a ride off-world, the bar around her shifted with new-found life.
Following a change in administration following the rise of the Sith Covenant in the Core, Sacorria's University for the Arts had been the subject of a corporate takeover. They recalculated student loan interest to be much higher rates, going back to calculate what those loans would be worth if they had always had those high rates. With a justification to themselves for an economic crisis they invented within their own institution, the University began to put bounties on Alumni with outstanding loans in order to quickly amass themselves a force of debtors, fully intent to use labor as repayment. One such BOUNTY was on an art student who had graduated two years ago. Chi'no, unaware of the sudden change in the demeanor of her old University, carried on like it was an ordinary day.
There was, however, a catch to any perusing the bounty. The University made it clear that they would only pay one bounty-hunter for a job well done, and they had no intention on specifying which hunter had the privilege of taking the job for themselves. Collecting would be a free-for-all, with the target required to be taken in alive. With only one individual able to walk away with the credits, the threat of the operation was clear; the civilian target was harmless. The real trouble came from a hunter's competitors.
None had yet made a move. The air was still with anticipation.
OOC: Hello. This is a really stupid idea I had for a dumb public thread. Basically a pvp free for all over the dumbest bounty I can think of. Only one person can get paid, so good luck lol. Also this thread may be a bounty, but it's open for folks to join and ramp up the chaos a bit. I wanna have fun with this one. Thank you all in advance.
