DESCRIPTION
After Kivah’s first nighttime shootout left her mostly blinded and firing wildly at after images, she got herself a pair of flash goggles. Simple tech, they protected her eyes from sudden flashes or attempts to blind her sensitive eyes, allowing her to see past blasterfire and bright lights. Eventual tinkering with the help of tech-minded friends and Etti IV’s independent garage-industry led to the adoption of tracker goggles with flash lenses. The trackers gave Kivah thermals, enhanced her low-light vision, and assistance with fog, mist, and other obscuring conditions, even letting her peer into the UV spectrum to see hidden markings.

Simple and lightweight, the goggles are powered by a small micrel power source that gives off minimal signature readings. And then only when powered on. The Flash lenses require no power, but instead operate on “sensitive photocells and super-speed polarizing lenses,” allowing them to instantly dim before returning to normal, protecting Kivah’s retina. They can alternately brighten and allow her to see in pitch darkness, enhancing her superior Cathar nighttime eyesight.
