A Twisted Examination

Cato Neimoidia may have looked unsullied at first glance, but unbeknownst to majority of the galaxy it was quite a hot spot for shady dealings and criminal organisations to perform without the risk of law enforcers picking up on their activities and being arrested. It was for this very reason that Rasu had been sent to the colony world by some informant of the Jedi Order, to uncover an underground unit performing illegal tests on innocent beings. The newly promoted Knight had been told to find a way in and discover who was behind these tests and what this group was doing to their subjects. And so it was for this very reason that she now walked into a pharmacy located on the main city bridge of Zarra. The Shi'ido had taken on the form of a Togruta at this particular time, as from the information that their informant had related to them, this organisation seemed to be studying this specific species, so Rasu would have to take the guise of yet another willing test subject if she was to get inside. Approaching a young Neimoidian at a counter she asked, "I was wondering if I could have a look at any of your stock out back?" Hoping that their informant had given them the right information to access the organisation.

The Neimoidian seemed to think about his next few words carefully before saying, "Certainly, if you'll follow me." Rasu let out a small sigh of relief, the information she had received was accurate and now all she had to do was go through the normal procedures until she met the person running these experiments. The Shi'ido had faith in her abilities as a Jedi, so was confident when she walked into the next room. Her Neimoidian escort, left her in the ante-chamber, making her way back to the counter of the pharmacy, leaving Rasu alone and able to do as she pleased. Sitting herself down in one of the chairs of what she now realised was a waiting room, she awaited the arrival of the supposed scientist who would take her in and explain what she would be doing. Rasu's hand gently rested on the hilt of her lightsaber, hidden under her robes, using it to comfort her and keep her in control of her nerves. She had a feeling she might have to use it very soon.

Transformers! More than meets the eye! Woops, wrong franchise... Sorry, had to get that out of the way there, Shi'ido being shapeshifters and all.

"Ah... You must be the woman who came here to participate in my tests. I was hoping you'd be here..." Circe unconsciously raised an eyebrow for a moment before lowering it once again. The woman was very familiar to her, someone Circe had helped rescue quite a while back. There was a chance that despite the tan skin, blonde hair, and contact-colored blue eyes, the Shi'ido in disguise would recognize her too.

"Come with me, and I'll take you to the testing area. Oh, and please... Leave your weapons." This assuming that she was a Jedi who used weapons...

It wasn't long before a woman entered the waiting room. Straight away, the Shi'ido was hit with a wave of nostalgia, had the pair met before? Thinking back Rasu couldn't recall meeting anyone with this appearance, yet she couldn't shake this feeling that she knew the woman. She rose out of her chair as the human introduced herself, her mind racing through past events, trying to pinpoint the exact moment where the two had met. Her efforts however proved fruitless, so she quickly followed the woman into the next room, holding out her hands to reassure the lady that she carried no weapons. Relief flooded her as she realised that the human hadn't noticed her concealed lightsabers, and that her identity had yet to be foiled. The plan was going smoothly.

Seating herself down in another chair, she faced the supposed scientist, studying her face again, this time more intently to discover any trait that might spark something in her head. With nothing standing out, Rasu's thoughts turned to the tests ahead and what they might involve. If she was to shut down these experiments then she would need to know what they were doing.

"So I'm a bit curious. What will these tests involve exactly?" she asked, subtly placing her hands on her lap, where she turned on a small mic which would record the woman's next few words. Words that might send you to Galactic Court, the Shi'ido thought, so choose them wisely.

"Nothing that isn't ethically sound." Circe smiled, her voice having sounded a bit more accented and sultry than usual. "I wouldn't worry about it. We're merely here testing new medical equipment to see if it works. Now, come with me." Motioning for the woman to follow, she stepped towards a device that appeared to be a full-body mold, capable of being sectioned off to cover only individual body parts. Everything except the head appeared to be covered - it looked like a life-size mold for plastic toys. "This is the Mark Two Rejuvenator, an improvement over any previous rejuvenation device. Its purpose is to allow for simple and non-surgical methods of removing unsightly scars or whatnot from the body. This new model is also capable of healing deeper into the skin, utilizing bacta infusion to greatly assist the healing process."

Crossing her arms as she looked over the shapeshifting Jedi, someone she couldn't help but smile at, Circe motioned for her to remove her clothes. "I'm going to need you to remove all attire you're currently wearing. For these tests involved, they will hurt somewhat, but if there is any lasting damage, our insurance will gladly reimburse you. However, no test will go deeper than the bottom layer of skin, so you won't experience any muscle or nerve damage."

Soon, she would expose herself, as well as the fact that she knew the Shi'ido. But in time.

Her heart began to speed up as she followed the orders of the familiar-looking woman in front of her. She walked over to a nearby changing room, where she slowly took of her clothes, pausing slightly as she took her lightsaber out of it's hidden fold. She would have to leave it there if she was to continue the facade. Bringing the weapon up into her face, she placed her cheeks against it, the cool metal sending a meager amount of calm over the Shi'ido. She would able to do this with her skills of the Force alone, she wouldn't need her lightsaber. Breathing in deeply, she placed her weapon on the neat pile of clothes in the small cubicle, and walked out towards the large testing device.

"You're sure this is safe?" she said, purposely avoiding the woman's gaze as her cheeks glowed red from embarrassment. Lowering her naked body into the molded device, she made herself comfortable as her bare skin grew cold from the cool metal surface of the machine. "What now?" she asked, extending her Force awareness so that she would be alert if anything dodgy should happen.

Alright." Circe went over, pulling out a vibroscalpel. "Now, we're going to make a six inch cut across your abdomen, no deeper than the lowest layer of the skin. Then we're going to seal the machine up and let it heal you. Even if we didn't use the machine, you still would survive - simply with a large scar. This is by no means a mortal wound."" Cautiously, she moved the vibroscalpel towards the woman's bare belly, preparing to make the mark that would be removed by the skin rejuvenator.

This would be over in less than a minute.

Rasu's body tensed slightly as the vibroscalpel was brought towards her abdomen, she looked away, not wanting to see the blade make contact with her skin. Expecting some pain, she called upon the Force, paralyzing the layer of skin cells that the woman would be attempting to cut. Her distrust for the being standing in front of her, caused her to also numb the outer layers of muscle underneath the skin, just in case something went wrong in the procedure. After what seemed like an eternity, the blade finally grazed her skin, slowly creating a small chasm in her abdomen. Rasu felt the pressure of the scalpel on he skin, but didn't feel anything after that, her paralyzed cells numb to the pain.

After careful precision, the cut had been made. Looking down, Rasu began to feel queasy as she gazed at the wound in her skin. With the task done, the woman had backed away, placing the vibroscalpel back on a tray. Glancing up from her wound, she caught the woman's eye, trying to bring her attention back to the open wound near her stomach.

"Well? Are you just going to leave me like this?"

"Now we seal the device..." She closed the sections of the skin rejuvenator up, covering the wounded area and activating the device. After several minutes, she smiled, then turned the machine own, showing the skin which was fully rejuvenated. "It works... This is perfect! We'll be able to do everything with this. Heal scars, help surgeons leave less cosmetic damage when removing warts or moles..."

It was a scientific breakthrough.

Her heart was racing a million miles an hour now, even the Force couldn't slow down her heart rate. All that Rasu could do was try and focus on easing her breathing as she was sealed into the device. She could see through the transparisteel plating that the woman was staring hungrily at her wound, setting off warning bells in her head. Her attention however was suddenly caught by a strong sense of heat emanating from a metallic panel near her wound. Rasu tried to strain her neck down so that she may grasp any knowledge on what was taking place, however the transparisteel cover, stopped her head from moving any further than a few millimeters. All the Knight could do was just sit there and wait, while the machine completed it's primary function.

After a few minutes off sitting patiently, her heart had calmed, her pulse returning to it's normal rate. The transparisteel cover was slowly raised, the heat radiating on her stomach now only a slight tingle. Gazing out at the woman, she found her staring wide-eyed at the Shi'ido's stomach, making the Jedi feel slightly uncomfortable as the hunger in her eyes intensified.

"So can you release me now?" Rasu asked after the scientist had finished her speech. The Shi'ido was still fastened into the machine, the restraints keeping her fixed into the humanoid mold. Now its time to see the true motive of this woman, she thought to herself, waiting to see what she would do next.

"Not yet... We still have to test the four other braces, those being the two arm and two leg ones. I'm of the opinion we should only be testing one at a time, since doing them all at once would be exceptionally painful. Not to mention would risk potential infection with the time between making these precision cuts in your flesh." She had no enjoyment of the predicament that the Shi'ido was in, but right now, she simply wanted to make sure all the parts of this prototype worked to perfection.

So far, so good.

Letting out a sigh, Rasu prepared herself for the other four incisions. What have I gotten myself into? she thought to herself, slowly growing tired of the tests being carried out on her. The woman in front of her also seemed to be feeling quite a bit sympathetic towards the Shi'ido as well, so that fact at least comforted her a little.

Wanting to have this done as quickly as possible, Rasu called the woman over, "Alright let's just get through these tests as quick as we can then." Using the Force to numb the next area of incision as she spoke. Rasu closed her eyes as the scalpel was brought down towards her skin.

Circe performed each incision the same way - she made a perfect cut, brought the device down onto the appendage that bad been scalpeled, and activated it, then waited and opened the device once it was complete. All four times, the scars were healed, with no visible signs of the cuts having ever been made. Now, she released the Shi'ido from the device, chuckling as she exposed her knowledge.

"You can go ahead and tell the Jedi there's nothing to worry about, my Shi'ido friend. This is a legitimate medical device - it merely had to be tested in a manner the Republic considers inhumane."

What?!?! Rasu thought, adrenaline once again rushing through her veins. Leaping out of the device, she sprung into a defensive position. How did she know? Panic began to grip the Shi'ido. Where had she seen this woman before? Her thoughts flashed back through her recent memories. Her Knightship, the beginning of war. She had never met someone like her. However as she passed over her trip to Ilum, her mind suddenly clicked. YES! She had been the one who had helped her after her shuttle had crashed. Relieved that she suddenly knew who this woman was, Rasu allowed herself to relax slightly. She had a feeling the being in front of her meant her no harm, at this present moment anyway. Her arms loosened as she backed away to the small changing compartment, not taking her eyes off the doctor in front of her. Once inside she quickly dressed herself, not bothering with concealing her lightsaber. The woman knew who she was so she wasn't going to hide her identity any longer.

"So how long have you known it was me?" she asked, leaving the compartment, fully dresses with her lightsaber clipped on her belt.

"Since you came in. You do realize that despite your different appearance, you still have the exact same Force signature, right?" She sighed. "Rasu... The Jedi evidently aren't training you well enough when it comes to disguising yourself. If I can determine your identity, even while you have shapeshifting abilities that I would love nothing more than to have myself, then won't other Sith or Darksiders be able to determine it?" She paused. "Let me teach you how to adequately conceal yourself."

It couldn't hurt her, after all, could it?
