"When Apex Black arrives, the conversation has already ended." - Executive 1, Balen Var Black

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Manufacturer: Apex Industrial (DTD) Defensive Tech Division
Affiliation: Apex Holdings | Apex Industrial | Fire For Effect | Balen Var Black | Natoline Kerrigan
Market Status: Closed Market
Model: A-TPA "Enforcer" Tactical Protection Armor
Modularity: Moderate. HUD loadout, drone interfaces, shoulder mounts, and environmental seals are customizable for each mission.
Production: Limited
Material:
  • Duraplast composite plating (external)
  • Armorweave / Synthmesh fiber layer (internal)
  • Plasteel reinforcement on vital zones
  • Conductive gel padding for impact dispersion.
  • Polarized visor lenses for anti-flash properties.
  • SW-CORR finish for anti-corrosion and professional sealant - 50% Anti-Corr and 50% Silkweed

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Horus FCP: Comprehensive HUD Package, with Integrated Scylla AI, predictive targeting, and a wide range of visual spectrums.
  • Jet-Assist Pack: A compact jump boost module for short-duration thrusts, not sustained flight.
  • Adaptive Visor Filters: Auto-adjusts opacity to flashbangs and energy bursts.
  • Apex Drone Ports: Shoulder-mounted drone bay for recon or ECM deployment.
  • Kinetic Gel Padding: Smart polymer disperses impact to reduce blunt traumas.
  • Auto-Seal Environment System: Seals suit for vacuum or toxic atmosphere for up to 72 hours, longer if maintained.
  • Wrist-Mounted Data Jack: For direct interface with security terminals or Apex droid systems.
  • Emergency Force-User Counter: A single, short, disorienting burst, directed at closer-quarter force attackers specifically.

STRENGTHS

  • Multi-Layer Defense: Composite layering of armorweave, plasteel, and duraplast grants high protection from blasters, slugthrowers, and plasma weaponry.
  • Integrated Mobility Support: Jet-assist pack and servomotor framework somewhat offset heavy armor weight for trained users, maintaining agile responsiveness in close quarters.
  • Command Network Integration: Direct encrypted uplink to Apex command nodes for real-time data, threat analysis, and unit coordination, with Scylla AI as standard on firewalls.
  • Emergency Force-User Counter: A single sonic and ion burst disruption for close-range focus and saber strikes.

WEAKNESSES

  • EMP / Ion Vulnerability: Despite partial shielding, a concentrated EMP or Ion pulse will disable HUD, jet systems, and drone connectivity, effectively making this a bulky metal shell.
  • Maintenance Intensive: Requires Apex or FFE technicians for calibration and seal integrity checks; cannot be field-repaired by standard personnel. Especially the advanced HUD.
  • Limited Thrust Duration: Jet-assist pack provides only short boosts or limited vertical thrust; overuse risks overheating.
  • Weight & Bulk: While servoes can offset fatigue, prolonged missions can cause strain and reduced endurance compared to lighter choices, especially for those untrained in the armor.
  • Expensive: You'll never see hordes of this armor fielded at once. Unless you are waltzing into Apex Headquarters.

DESCRIPTION

Designed in direct response to escalating corporate sabotage, the ruination of some of his competitors by criminal forces, cyberterrorist activities, and Force-sensitive threats, the A-TPA "Enforcer" Tactical Protection Armor represents Apex Industrial's most advanced combat armor to date. With many thousands of man-hours in direct conjunction with Fire For Effect and developed under the personal oversight of Balen Var Black and FFE's senior technician Sere Reene, it reflects Balen's motto of efficiency through control and Sere's ingenious propensity for surprise.

Each suit is designed with layered duraplast plating over an armorweave and plasteel core, creating a dense but flexible shell. The outer surface is a matte graphite finish, marked only by a subtle red or blue visor glow and the discrete silver Apex "AX" insignia on the shoulder and/or chest. Unlike the regular ASF, A-TPA operators are indistinguishable by face or voice; intentionally so to protect their identity, their visors are opaque, and communications are filtered through the Apex Command Net, firewalled by the fearsome Scylla AI.

Thanks to Sere Reene's genius, aka the joy of killing things. FFE's weapon techs developed the Sluissi's Bite, a short-duration sonic/ion disruption pulse for the A-TPA's wrist-mounted defensive systems. When activated, the twin emitters project a brief pulse of high-frequency sound and ionized particles within a two-meter radius. The sonic pulse can destabilize air pressure and inner ear balance, potentially causing momentary disorientation and interrupting the fine motor control often required for precise force manipulation. The ion field can momentarily disrupt energy coherence, producing a visible flicker in active plasma edges such as lightsaber blades and interference in nearby electronics. The effect lasts only a split second and is intended as an emergency defensive countermeasure to an unexpected force user, a window of confusion or hesitation that allows an Apex operator to evade, reposition, or retaliate. Due to the overloading nature of this, the field is limited to one short, timed burst, with built-in cooldown intervals.

The A-TPA's internal systems are modular, allowing mission-specific customization, from zero-G hull operations to breach entry or counter force-user engagements. The inclusion of a short-range jet-assist pack gives A-TRD operatives limited aerial mobility in vertical environments such as city towers or industrial shafts. Every piece of the A-TPA's design emphasizes professionalism and deterrence. A walking symbol of Apex's reach and readiness if tested. When this tactical armor is considered the most profitable option to deploy, negotiation has finished.

End of File.
