A Swift blow to the Phrik

[member="Kana Truden"]

Camellia only smiled proud and more than pleased as Kana opened up the box to reveal the completed armor set inside. Honestly as they were described and some of the other members gave her the impression of, camellia wouldn't have thought she would get a genuinely happy response from the Jedi Knight. It was as if watching a child open a birthday present and it made the Rendili woman extremely happy to know the finished work was going to be truly appreciated. She felt giddy waiting for Kana to put it on when the other woman rushed back inside to change into it, although once the Jedi came back out if took some effort not to chuckle at how silly it appeared for the girl to be a bit bulkier than before.

Nevertheless, it was definitely a decent cover up of the phrik plating beneath that jumpsuit, although it was probably less comfortable. "I'm really pleased you like it so much. We can give you those gloves actually, the armorers made a pair with small phrik segment plates over the fingers, palm, and back of the hand in case you wanted to protect your hand if someone aimed for it in a fight. As for covering up the armor you do a good job, though you could probably move better with the plates on the outside of the jumpsuit. It can be fitted over some body suits so if you want we can include one with the armor set as a package if you like."

Attempts at concealing the armor could quite possibly prove in vain. Kana had to admit she was a bit disappointed, maybe under a robe, but definitely not under a jumpsuit. She would have to go for the visible approach. Unless… No that was a thought for later. Right now she was simply happy to have received the armor to begin with.

“Sounds like a good idea, yeah. My initial idea was to wear it underneath whatever I was wearing to catch them off-guard, really. I will just have to reassess my wardrobe. Maybe a robe would be more ideal, or just some training done in it. Either way I am looking forward to putting it to use.”

She gave the Rendili CEO a smile and went for her room to get the armor off. A few moments came to pass but before long Kana entered the room again. At least she didn’t look as bulky anymore. It was all back to her regular self again.

“Well, that was it, I guess?” Kana shrugged. “Did you have anything more to add, or is our business concluded?”

Catching the enemy off guard was certainly a good idea, and it would probably sustain light blaster fire just fine if they had made it thinner, but a heavy blaster cannon or repeated lightsaber strikes would probably break it easily then, even now it was a light armor and while powerful its not like anyone ought to test their armor out against an artillery shell. Still, if Kana wore a robe, then the armor probably would be pretty concealed. Since Jedi wore them anyway it was certainly a good idea and wasn't like anyone would suspect it either. Jedi in robes weren't suspicious after that, that was just the average Jedi.

Camellia smiled when Kana returned from changing out of the armor. She was actually rather happy to have met this particular Jedi knight, Kana seemed more relaxed and less obtrusive about the force. Not that the Jedi she had met so far shoved it down her threat, but they didn't act like regular people as if they weren't regular humans. . . .or well other species too. "Well our business is mostly concluded. I can have a body suit for beneath the armor and the gloves I mentioned brought over before you go. Its more about if there's anything you need really."

“That’d be great, thank you.” Kana smiled. A bodysuit would be great. “I’ll need some time to finish up the rest of my business here and then I’ll be on my way then.”

A mental check of what it was that she had gotten was in order and she knelt down by the box to look inside. The back and chest pieces was there. Pieces that would protect her front and back, obviously, yet leave her abdomen free for an attack. It was a necessary cutoff to minimize weight. Armor would be heavy no matter what, to trade off protection for weight and as a result ease of movement was an acceptable consequence.

The arm covers that ran along the top of her arms were the same. The white-painted phrik metal ran along the arm and ended in a fingerless glove-like bracer at the very end. The underside of her arm would be left unprotected to ease movement when she had to use her saber. A good strike could definitely still sever her arm and repeated abuse on the plating would definitely cut through in the end.

The legs ran by the same ideals. In the front ran the phrik panels covering her thighs, knees and shinbones (and as a result robot leg). However, her backside was still left uncovered. Rule of movement still applied and it was all to minimize any hindering effect the armor would have on the one wearing it.

“Once I get that bodysuit I’ll be able to conclude our business here, Miss Swift.” Kana bowed again. “You have been a wonderful host.”

Camellia nodded, it seemed like such a short lived business venture but it felt like they had been working on the matter for a much greater time. Still, in the end the result was very satisfying. The armor was completed as was much of the production for the Battlemaster armor set. The Rendili woman watched as Kana looked over her armor, envying the rather lovely set, but also feeling it wasn't her style. The Battlemasters were certainly more encumbered than the Jedi Knight was, but their movements were never as fancy or as fast, so while they had full suits of armor it was kept light for them to move about unhindered quite well for a non-force user. Still, she was happy that they had been able to make armor suitable for a Jedi Knight to wear into battle, something to let Kana move quickly while allowing her to survive spot on blasters and the sweeping strike of a Sith Lightsaber.

The only real issue was the girl's backside. "Well there's no rush to anything, but I'm glad you love it. If you ever want to expand the armor for more plates to protect the void areas let us know. Its been both an honor and a pleasure to serve you Miss Truden, I hope the armor serves you well. We can send you the bodysuit at a later date or you can pick one up now if you have the time. Don't worry we won't have to measure you again if you wish."
