Caius Flavian
Faction Admin - The Galactic Republic
“Wonderful to hear!” I said plucking a dinner roll from the basket. I pulled it apart, its warm insides let loose a little steam. I applied butter to it in a few gentle strokes before placing it on a small dinner plate.
“Yes, we are indeed an agricultural focused company. Our family, before a near successful purge by republic zealots, sought to form such an organization that would have spanned several hundred planets and provide a bounty of food for many planets. That dream was dashed in the Coreworlds. Still my grandmother Julia Flavian who is the Chairwoman of the company still held on to such achieving such a dream. We regained by force our prototype agricultural vessel which now serves as our headquarters. Julia came into contact with our Emperor Vedarric Pallopides and she initiated the first contract. Empires cannot sustain themselves without the means to feed their military and the people. In fact the best way to keep a populace in check is to control the food supply. Now we are integrated quite deeply with the Imperial Remnant. For now we have been operating out of the Seed of Renewal acting as consults for one of our client states. Along with the massive undertaking of terraforming Kalee. We are also in the process of designing several biodomes based on the technology used with the Seed of Renewal. Our primary goal with these ships is to provide a mobile fleet of farms. We will be able to transport large quantities on board these ships along with growing different types of food stuffs in transit. Our directive now, thanks to our near nationalization under the Imperial Crown, is to produce ample surplus in order to provide humanitarian relief for the flood of refugees we are beginning to experience entering our territories. The production of these vessels is paramount to our company’s success and will exponentially aide our Imperial Empire. We have made a contract with two other companies for the production of these ships but just as agriculture is necessary for an Empire, so is the coin of commerce to churn the wheels of fortune. If Krayt is willing to produce some of these along with those mining vessels for both the Empire and Flavian Star Corporation I’m certain I can draft the contract here and now. Approval for it will certainly follow almost immediately.”
I paused for a moment reflecting on the recent influx of people who had traveled out this way. Kalee and Valc VII were fairly inundated. Our hospital ships were operating at full capacity. The many more mouths to feed, the resources necessary to build and house these beleaguered displaced souls. I sighed outwardly and unintentionally. The galaxy could be a cruel place. It was up to those who were able to take a true stand and uphold the banner of order to make the galaxy safe and secure.
