Private A Sniper's Mettle

Somewhere along the Alliance's border...

It seemed there was no rest for the GADF. Whether it was the Sith, Imperials, Bryn, Maw. There was always some enemy knocking on the Alliance’s door. And now with the rising tensions with the Mandalorians; rightfully so given their murderous crusade, it was their turn to become the enemy.

And that meant there were several sets of eyes keeping watch of the numerous border worlds. It was where Alexander found himself, dispatched to assess a situation on a planet that consisted mostly of dense humid jungles.

The Alliance had a base, built upon a science outpost that had been there originally. But as wars became more common, it had been transformed into a fortified base of operations, should someone try and attack.

Recently, scouting parties were being attacked by an unknown group of hostiles. The reports painted a picture of armoured warriors, and of course the immediate thought was pointed towards Mandalorians.

He had just landed the day prior, barely getting ready to start when new orders from the Alliance arrived. They were sending a new recruit, one “Vitiion Daivik”, a sniper who had excelled in her training. But the higher ups wanted to test her a step further, immediately throw her into a mission.

And apparently sending a sniper into a dense jungle is perfect?” Alexander raised an eyebrow, wondering what the top brass were up to. “Well, hopefully Miss Daivik is ready for hell.

A Jungle. Of course it had to be a damned jungle. The Sniper was not used to the heat and flora of a planet like this, but it wasn't up to her to go against her orders. If she had to go to this jungle to try and scout out and potentially go against Mandalorians, she was going to do it. Making sure to have the C.R.I.B on her person. Sure, it was an ion weapon so it wouldn't cause any potentially lethal damage, but disabling was nearly as good as killing an opponent in her eyes. She did have a blaster pistol she had taken from the armoury for the mission, in case her vibrosword wouldn't be good enough to defend herself.

There was a part of the Atoan that would have loved to use her vibrosword to cut through the foliage but she knew that would just leave evidence of where she had been, and she had to be mindful of that. If she was trying to find whoever was here, there was a chance that they could also be looking for her, and leaving a trail of cut branches and leaves would not be too helpful at the end of the day. She just had to find this Alexander Hayes, though that didn't seem to be difficult as the Sniper ran over towards who she presumed to be the man she had to report to, before standing up straight to give him a sudden salute.

"Vitiion Daivik. Reporting for Duty."
