First Reply A snail's pace

Tricia Kalamack

Sleeps all day.... yawns all night
Jairdain Jairdain

The world of Veradune was... interesting enough and the home where she was sleeping important... maybe. In truth the jedi master rarely left because things bored her... few things changed in a thousand years compared to just a handful. She woke up when a tap tap tap sound came... her black hair with silver streaks gleaming as it floated aaround her using the force like a cushion. She was floating always and rarely touched the ground when she looked at the bubble she was in. Her tri-colored eyes narrowing for a moment when her small chains went from her ears to her neck and wrists... then waist and ankles. The thin silk garments clinging but they were not skin tight both contouring and hiding her figure as she stopping floating and remained there... hovering in the air as the bubble she was in gleamed. Her delicate eyebrow rising up.

THen she waited as time seemed to crawl at a pace... these beings were short lived... they thought in small terms... in small thoughts. The being who was looking at her from the other side was old.. the wrinkled skin was there.. flab around the jowls as he was speaking and trying to demand from her something but she wasn't listening on the other side of the glass itself. Her hand didn't keep to come out as she remained there... she could pick up the thoughts and the man thought her immortal.. he wanted to know how she had managed to do it... and Tricia stayed there... then it cracked... the crack spreading for a moment when she got the grip of the man.... then was flying back and she spoke with the glass breaking away. "Can you have any idea what this has been like? Can you have any idea? Confined in a glass box for all these years."

She continued to walk forward as she was looking at him and her hand came out holding him down on the floor. Not violently.. she was keeping him there as a captive audience. "A human lifetime. Time moves no faster for my kind than it does for humanity, and in prison it crawled at a snail's pace. I was... I am... still me at least." She said it when she was looking at him and hovered over before extending her hands and the room erupted... she flew up and spoke looking down. "Ensure I do not encounter you again. A lifetime for you is a blink of an eye but grudges can last several generations." She said it and flew off towards the palace... coming through a window as she stretched her arms outwards but yawned. "Well that was.... different." She said it but remained there in one of the rooms.

It wasn't very often Jairdain wandered far from Commenor. Yet she felt like visiting her brother. Besides, if anything happened on the planet, the Alliance would take care of it. So she wasn't very concerned about leaving it for a while. Vulps had said she would always be welcome to visit any time she wanted. There were many things she was not familiar with, and one of them was a being she had never been told about. Probably more than one, but specifically not Tricia.

A voice came from behind her, saying something was different. Turning around, she was startled but not scared.

"What was that?"
