A Royal Arrival (Open to all Republic)

It was the middle of the day for the city-wide planet as a Naboo Royal Cruiser began descending from the skies. All security checks went through easily and the ship was allowed to enter into the Republic capital. While being a Naboo ship the entire crew were Nautolan's, with the exception of one protocol droid.

In the cock-pit of the ship the captain called over the communicator "Requesting permission to land at the Senate's Shuttle Bay."

"Permission granted." someone from the other end said.

"No." Someone behind the captain said. "Change course, captain. Take us to the Jedi Temple."

"But lady Reela!" the protocol droid began. "Your father gave direct instructions to-"

"To go to the Senate." she finished for him. Looking back she said "I know, TC. And we will. Just consider this a little detour of sorts." Her fingers ran over the hilt of the lightsaber on her belt as she turned and asked "Captain?"

"As you wish, your highness." he said before changing directions to head to the Jedi temple. "I will send a message to the Senate to let them at least know of your arrival."

When the ship finally landed in the Jedi temple, entering one of its shuttle bays, the hatch in the end opened and, stepping from it, was a female Nautolan dresses in what seemed like a more regal version of Jedi robes. Her black eyes looked about eagerly as she looked about the temple, or rather the shuttle bay, before taking steps forward.

She looked back and called "Come on, TC!" making her protocol droid hurry in his steps to catch up with her.

As a padawan, Tal was still given the menial tasks. He was sent to meet some "royal" person or other at the docking bay of the Jedi Temple. Usually these things ended up being boring and he was not looking forward to the impending annoyingness of some stuck up, royal, pain-in-the-ass. But he was polite as ever when he approached the wide-eyed Nautolan.

"G'day m'lady," he says with a quaint bow, "I have been sent to escort you. I assume you know what you're doing though. Most likely I was sent to keep you out of trouble." His voice sounded metallic from behind his ever-persistent mask. "Unfortunately, you are stuck with me, as I with you."

Seeing him come close Reela eager walked up to hi as the Jedi introduced himself. He may not have been a knight or master but it was still interesting to meet an actual member of the Jedi. She bowed when he did and, after he gave his little introduction, she took his hand and began shaking it.

"It's great to meet you." she said, still shaking him. "I'm Reela Witko. And this is my protocol droid, TC-18." she indicated the droid behind her.

"How very nice to meet you, sir." the droid said, bowing.

Jovial. He noted, taking observations of the newcomer. At the very least she wasn't stuck up like most others. Maybe he could learn to like this one, for however long she was here. Looking past her, his eyes glazed over the silver protocol droid and the fancy ship. Rich as well. Not all royalty was swimming in credits. "My name is Talgenis Chedtou. You may call me Tal. Most people find this easier than the former." All this was the same. the introductions and the ice breaking. Now was were it got interesting: "What is it that you're looking to do? And where are you trying to go?"

The Jedi stood erect with perfect posture taking in the details of his surroundings. This was always the most interesting part because everyone has their own agendas. And he had seen some pretty...well, creative ones. So the cosmos would only know what this one was up to.

Sochi was deeply saddened by the news of her friend Nala. Ru only wished she could have been there to assist her. She closed her eyes and looked down for a moment. She began to think of the moments they shared with one another. It all started with a simple sparring match, her sudden thought were interrupted by the voice of a younglings, yes Sochi was now instructing a class of younglings; she was now an instructor. She was overseeing their Form I training regimes. She obtained a subtle smile as the young man called for her attention. She kept close to the Jedi tenet of attachment. That was how she would get over it, and move on.

After she was done for awhile with instructing she was notified that there would be a new Padawan arriving, seemingly of the royal kind. She raised an eyebrow at this subject, and figured it wasn't a huge deal. They've received padawans of this status before. She decided she would be amongst the group to greet the girl while she arrived. She was also aware that a Padawan had been assigned to greet, and assist this you woman. She of course would just be giving out her salutations.

As she approached, the hangar doors slid open. She walked through slowly, her long, flowing robes trailing behind her. She had her arms behind her, her hands tucked in the sleeves. She slowly approached the ship, and from a couple of feet away she noticed a Nautolan stepping off. When she came close enough she made introductions.

"Greetings m'lady, I'm Jedi Knight Sochi Ru. I've come only to greet you and welcome you to our temple." She said softly.

"Well it's great to meet you then, Tal." she said, giving him a friendly tap on the arm. "Well, I guess my first thing I want to do is..." Reela's attention was drawn to the arrival of the Jedi knight that approached. When @[member="Sochi Ru"] introduced herself Reela's first instruction was to bow deeply. Even TC-18 had done the same, following his princess' example. When she rose she had a look of wonder in her eyes and she said "It is an honor to meet you, Master Ru. I'm...uh...Reela!" she said, her mind wandering for a moment. "Reela Witko. Uh, Princess Reela Witko. Yes."

"And I am her personal protocol droid, TC-18. How very nice to meet you, madam." he said.

"Pardon me master, but I would like to get our esteemed guest off to wherever she needs to be, as I would like to return to my own confines as soon as possible." He waited until after the introductions were done to say this. Tal had personal matters to deal with, but this assignment was his current priority...until its completion. That is, unless the princess had something "interesting" going on.

Turning is attention back to the Nautolan, he repeated, "What is it that we are off to do today ma'am?" He put on his best manners whilst the Jedi master was so near.

Reela was so zoned out in being with an actual Jedi knight that hearing Tal made her her snap back to reality and ask "Uh...what?"

"Master Tal asked us where we would like to go, my lady." TC said.

"Oh!" she turned back to @Talgenis Chedtou and said "Well, I uh....I guess the...training areas?" When she was lead onward, TC following, she looked back and said "It was nice to have met you, Master Ru." before continuing onward.

She, and no one else, realized her saber had fallen to the ground given the hurry she was in. While to some it would seem ordinary, to @[member="Sochi Ru"] it would be more familiar.

Sochi raised her head slowly, and in surprise that she was called Master, she wasn't a master....not yet atleast. Possibly in many years from now. She didn't want to intrude on the personal business of the group, she just wanted to meet the newcomer. Since she wasn't busy at the time she, made the trip herself down here to show her face. She raised an eyebrow at the girl who seemed to stutter in her presence; shouldn't it have been the other way around? Hmm

"It's nice to meet you Lady Reela Witko," she responded softly, "I apologize Padawan Chedtou, I will allow you to get back to your task." She said taking a step back and allowing the group to go on ahead. She bowed when she walked past. When she came back up, she heard the clicking of something heavy hitting the ground beneath her. She noticed that it was an lightsaber.

"Oh, excuse me, Pada.." Her words were quickly cut off, when she finally reached down and held the hilt within her hand. She brought it closer to her face. Her eyes grew wide, and the memories of her late friend had surfaced once more. How could she have this?

The threesome started off to the training areas. "So, just so you know, I am still new to all this. Back there, she wasn't a master, and I accidentally called her one. That is a mistake you shouldn't make." His mistake was a minor speech error but held major respect complications. "Why the training rooms? What are you looking for?" Right now, Tal was trying to gauge the level of interest in which he should partake into this new face. The first step was to gather basic information. "More importantly, why is someone of royalty such as yourself coming here rather than to the counsel?" Tal, though stoic as he may be, was curious.

It's definitely good to back on Coruscant, Rasu thought to herself as she safely landed her star yacht in the Temple hangar bay and turned to exit the craft. So far her new position had proven to be quite enjoyable, with her staff running over with Phylis Alince the new curriculum for the young Jedi initiates of the Tython academy. She had felt nervous and slightly out of place at first, but soon she had gotten used to the respect and authority that came with being the Headmistress of the Academy. She had taken a break in her work on Tython to journey to the Jedi Temple to attend a meeting with Phylis Alince and other members of the Council of First Knowledge, so had passed over her duties to her Jedi aide, and had departed for the city world. Punching in the code for the boarding ramp, she made her way down the slope into the ventilated hangar, escaping the putrid fuel fumes by entering a nearby turbo-lift which would take her to the Temple entrance.

Exiting the turbo lift, Rasu found herself in the grand entrance hall of the Temple, massive sandstone pillars stood atop staircases, holding up the ceiling. Crossing the marble floor, the Shi'ido made her way over to a nearby corridor, when she was stopped by a familiar presence. It can't be? she thought, turning to she her friend Sochi Ru standing only a few meters away, gazing at something in her palms.

"Sochi!" she yelled across the hall, waving her arms as she tried to grab the woman's attention. Breaking into a run which proved quite challenging in her long tanned robe, she closed the distance between the pair, before stopping abruptly as the object in the Togruta's hands became more clear. The Shi'ido's heart seemed to stop as she realised whom the lightsaber belonged too. "No that can't be what I think it is?" Rasu whispered, mortified at the reason for Sochi to be holding it right now. "S...Sochi..." she began to say, her voice shaking slightly, "where did you get that?"

"Well....thing is," Reela began to say in answer to Tal's question. "I was actually suppose to go to the Senate first. You see my parents ant me to be a diplomat as well as a Jedi. You know, one of THOSE kind of rulers. Anyway, I was just too eager to come here that I said 'frak it' and came here first." Seeing his reaction she said "Don't worry. The senate still knows I'm here. I sent a message to them. I'm just taking a...uh...."

"A detour, ma'am?" TC said in a sarcastic tone.

"Exactly." she noted. "So come on, Tal the great tour guide. Show me around. I'm likely going to be staying here for a while anyways. Doesn't matter where we start just as long as we finish."

Unfortunately, Tal was almost at a loss of where to begin. But when in doubt, he stuck to the phrase "Fake it till you make it." So he led the way down to where general training and meditation happened. Still unclear of exactly what this young woman wanted, Tal asked, "What do you want to do first?" Knowing it was cliche, the sentence trailed off with a nervousness not usually seen. Women weren't always a huge part of his life. The very few that he had been assigned to never payed him much attention. So having this ecstatic Jedi-diplomat-alien-woman was unnerving. To a degree. Tal still maintained himself.

As her mind began processing what exactly was happening, Sochi geared her voice being called, but faintly. She couldn't take her eyes off the hilt. It didn't make sense that a Padawan had this weapon. Her eyes widened, and squinted, she just couldn't put together the pieces. She turned to see that it wa Rasu who had been calling her name, she turned to look at her friend, and then turned her gaze back to the lightsaber. There was no doubt that they both knew it was Nala's. as she began to answer Rasu's question she couldn't find the right words. This was a first.

"Rasu...the princess dropped this weapon. I picked it up, but how would someone who has no ties to the woman have something like this. One would think it was brought back with.....with her body." She said responding to her friends question.

This was strange indeed, and it made no sense. Had they not been told something or? Sochi had only wanted to know what exactly was going on, maybe thy missed something from the story.

Rasu's mind was a blur, her vision was a blur. Her entire being was solely focused on the lightsaber resting in Sochi's hands. Feelings and thoughts that she had finally gotten rid of suddenly came swarming back. First it had been Akodya and then it had been Nala. Rasu wasn't sure how she was going to cope. The Shi'ido had put her tearful emotions behind her after the funeral, she had thought that they wouldn't have to return, she had braced herself for any surprises that might set them off again. But nothing could have prepared her for this. Everything was still so fresh, and Rasu was still so emotionally vulnerable, the lightsaber had been the match that restarted the flame.

"Where did this princess go Sochi?" she asked, her voice slowly returning to it's original stability. If the pair where to figure out how Nala's lightsaber got in her possession they would actually need to ask the Princess.

Reela considered this for a moment before saying "Oh! How about a sparring match?" She asked @Talgenis Chedtou. "Come on. We can get some early training in. I've had practice sine I was ten, you see. And-"

"Princess Reela, if I may." TC began. "We do need to finish our business here quickly before going off to the senate. I think it best we continue out tour first."

With a sigh she said "Fine." before thinking of where to go next. "Oh, I know. How about the Jedi archives. Or the library. One of those places would be nice." Her attitude almost mimicked that of an eager schoolgirl which, in a sense, that was the case with Reela. A new student hoping to work her paces through.
