Sentus stood on the balcony of the Federal Assembly building. his freshly pressed and fitted naval uniform pulling slightly at his neck. The fitters had been forced to rush the completion of the uniform to make it in time for today, and every fiber of Sentus's being yelled at him to tear it off and throw it into the churning waters below. It was a novel concept, but he forced it to the back of his mind. Reaching up with his left hand, he lightly pulled on the collar of the uniform, pulling the sharp edges away from his neck where they were already beginning to make an indention. Deciding he had spent enough time outside, Sentus reached down with his free hand to grab the drink he had been resting on the railing of the balcony, before turning and walking back inside the Federal Assembly building.
Sentus passed the two guards at the entrance of the main chamber, their eyes still as they stared straight ahead. He gave them a brief nod as they brought their hands up in a quick salute, before dismissing them back to their positions. Everyone saluting him was still an oddity to him. He held the position of High Lord, the Supreme Commander of the Federal Military, and yet the concept still hadn't sunk in yet. He continued to mull over these thoughts as he descended the many steps down towards the central platform of the Council Chambers, where dozens of tables had been set up, and hundreds of figures could be seen milling about.
The formal foundation of the Federation of Allied Systems had only just been announced to the galaxy at large, and such an event had called for a celebration on their capital world of Oroaturoo. Dignitaries from across the galaxy had been invited, as well as anyone who decided to come and visit the gathering. They were checked and screened of course, as Sentus's insistence. The galaxy had too many times in the past been plagued by terrorist attacks at events such as this, and he refused to allow such a thing to happen on his watch.
Finally reaching the floor of the chamber, Sentus forced a smile to his face and he began to walk through the crowds, briefly stopping to confer with those who called out to him by name. It didn't take him long to finish the drink he held in his hand, and he began to start his fourth in the middle of a conversation between himself and three Nemodians eager to discuss new trade deals that could be secured with the Federation. Sentus kept his smile on his face as he listened and nodded his head. He was the technical head of the Federal Assembly, yet he was more of a rubber stamp for them. He could veto a decision if he felt it wasn't in the interest of the Federation, but other than that he was mostly just in charge of the military.
As the Nemodians continued to press on about the advantages of lower tariffs or something like that, Sentus finished his fourth drink, reaching for his fifth. It was going to be a long day.

Grajac had finally arrived to the fair planet Oroaturoo after what seemed one of the longest flights in his life, made sense though since this was a planet in the Inner Rim. The engineer was in his regular clothing, purple shirt with green dots, khaki pants, and brim hat with googles on them. The only difference you would see on his person was a small bow tie he had 'borrowed' from a drunk individual on the shuttle flight here. After getting off the taxi shuttle he would be amazed at the wonderment and size of the city he was in and almost forget where he was, the pure cleanliness of the place was too good to be true. But he snapped back to reality when he watched numerous nobles start to walk towards one of the biggest buildings in the city, and he knew that was the place he was looking for.

Rumors in the Outer Rim had led Grajac to Oroaturoo since he heard a new Federation had been forming and was having a whole blowout party to celebrate it's formation and was allowing anyone into there gates and this looked like a perfect opportunity for Grajac to fly off of the scrapper planet he had currently resided on and find a more stable and legal job. Hopefully this Federation of sorts would be Grajac's big break and his ticket to becoming a hot shot in the world.

As Grajac entered the main chamber of the Federal building his jaw would hit the floor, the whole room was better than anything he had ever seen in his life, this wasn't the slums anymore, this was a royalty and Grajac had seemed under dressed from the rest, but he spent almost all his savings on the ride here so why quit now. "This is going to be harder than I thought", Grajac muttered to himself as he started to converse to a party goer next to him.

As The Repertoire descended upon one of Oroaturoo's Spaceports, his landing zone designated to him by flight coordinators as part of traffic control, Caedyn wondered what his sister [member="Loreena Arenais"] was getting herself into. He had received an invitation to attend some unexpected ceremony, Lori's name among the list of confirmed guests, thus his curiosity was naturally piqued and he decided to come and see what all the fuss was about...

Their Family had been through a lot however and their Parents had only just returned to leading the people of Commenor into recovery following the conflict with the Sith Empire. There was still an awful lot of stuff to do back home before it was returned to normal...But Caedyn would be lying if he had claimed Lori was the only one thinking beyond their home-world.

Caedyn's Master, [member="Asha Hex"] had fallen off the grid once more, though this time he had a little more faith in her ability to keep herself safe, it still meant that his training was once again in his own hands. In the Silver Jedi Order, he had found [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], or rather she had found him on Commenor and eventually led his curiosity to their home on Kashyyyk, yet ultimately Caedyn had decided that it wasn't for him. Asaraa had become a great influence over him and he was thankful that she had understood his differences, his upbringing within the Je'daii Order and his need find his own path...It wouldn't stop the pair from staying close, of course.

Today, his Attire fit the scene for the unknown world, not wanting to influence first impressions in any particular light given his training as a Force User and the wardrobe that mostly consisted of Jedi and Je'daii Garments, most people in the Galaxy identified alongside trouble of some sort. Force Practitioners were often a sort that came under heavy bias for their ability and power that most others didn't have, nor could they understand, and so fear was the typical response.

Leaving his Ship, Caedyn would soon find himself being greeted by federation personnel, a welcome party so to speak, which expressed their intention to lead him to where the others would be gathering. Assuming Lori was already here, he reluctantly nodded and allowed himself to be guided by these strangers, doing his best to get a feel for the new world and it's people.

Dorin stood among the crowd, armor having been cleaned as well as it could have been without undergoing the much needed repairs. He stood among a small gathering of nobles, trading small talk, sharing stories, and reliving old encounters. The scar across his face was healing, but still very much noticeable around the simple black blindfold he wore. His full veil had been retired, as this was to be a happy occasion, not suitable for the vestments of mourning. With him was [member="Britalla An'thar"], a spacer he'd rescued a few days prior. Well, around her somewhere. He thought he had spied her at the bar a moment ago. He just hoped she took his advice and dressed for the occasion.

His attention turned back to the small collection of nobility that he was surrounded by, all prattling on to each other about the hazards of starting a new alliance of systems, particularly so close to such an aggressive neighbor. Dorin took a gulp of his drink before interjecting, "It's the same as on Commenor. All my time among the Sith, First Order, what have you, all shows the same flaws. Power. Forget everything else, it's all in the pursuit of power. And the one thing people who crave power fear is losing it. From what I've seen here, It sounds like this alliance genuinely wishes to help people." Dorin looked up across the room, almost pointedly at a young man being practically hounded by a trio of Nemoidians. "So long as the leaders of this alliance surround themselves with the right people, and maintain that belief, they'll be fine." He nodded to the group and stepped out, moving towards the group. "As you were, ambassadors..."

He approached the group, calling out in fluent Nemoidian, "Save the trade discussions for another day. Tactless curs, the lot of you. I should burn your hats for such disgrace. Begone, let the man enjoy his celebration." He watched with a grim satisfaction as the Nemoidians looked at the armored individual walking towards them, and scuttled away into the crowd. Dorin took another gulp of his drink, coming to rest beside the individual they had been harassing, watching their retreat. "First rule of negotiating. If it happens on your land, it happens on your terms." Dorin glanced at the younger man beside him, a grim smile on his face. "Nemoidians are greedy little bastards. They'd negotiate deals while you sought the comfort of a loved one if you let them. Today is not the day for such matters." Dorin offered [member="Sentus Olan"] a hand. "Dorin. I would guess by the pitch at which your friends were pleading their case that you're the commanding officer around here?"

Sentus grimaced in slight annoyance as the Nemodians shuffled away, mumbling to themselves in their native tongue. He privately thanked the individual for offering him escape from the endless conversation, however the way it was done could be quite costly to the Federation. Even to this day the Nemodians still held strong their economic ties, controlling a large trade fleet and control over several major trade routes on the other side of the Core. The Federation would need to become fast friends with the Nemodians if they were to capitalize on their economic power, and the Federation of Allied Systems could use all the assistance it could in the months to come. He made a mental note to speak to the Nemodian representatives again later.

Turning to face his 'rescuer', Sentus bowed his head slightly. "My name is Sentus Olan, High Lord of the Federation of Allied Systems, and Supreme Commander of the Federal Military, serving at the behest of the people of the Federation and the Federal Assembly. You could say I am the commanding officer." He smiled at the end of his little speech, raising the glass in his hands to his lips and taking another drink from it. This conversation might just prove to be quite interesting, given the way the man here was dressed.

[member="Dorin Arkx"]

Vee Toa, the newest member of the Federal Assembly showed up to the event in a dark cloak with two guards at his side, he hoped he wasn't late to the event. Toa hoped to make allies at this event. Toa's robotic hands were showing through his cloak, he was nervous.

"My name is Vee Toa, former leader of a section of Jakku. Nice to meet you all!"

[member="Sentus Olan"]

The celebrations were ongoing, and Thalira was enjoying it. Of course, she wasn't actually supposed to be there. She was hardly a member of the Federation, but just a few days ago she was hired to smuggle a few crates of spices to a contact she had on Ortouturoo, and before she left she heard about the celebrations of the formation of the Federation, and she decided to stay. But no one would really know she wasn't supposed to be there, since officially she was there as "Kaila Qiraat", a starship saleswoman. All her credentials were fake, but the business she was pretending to work for was a very small one on Alderaan, so chances someone would know she was a fake were slim at best, unless the government did a detailed check on her. So far she had been able to avoid that.

At the moment, Thalira was speaking to a lower noblewoman, and although her attire didn't exactly fit with the crowd, she was being charismatic enough that it wasn't a problem. She considered wearing something a little more formal for the celebrations, but in the end she decided she'd just go with her normal red skintight bodysuit, black cropped leather jacket, black thigh-high boots, and black belt. Even though it might not have been formal enough for an event like this one, it was what Thalira liked to wear. And she was charming enough to not have to worry about having a different outfit for every situation.

Thalira was telling the noblewoman about a newly designed luxury ship that was supposed to be top of the line, and although it was just a facade, she was even convincing the woman to buy one herself. when finally it happened. The noblewoman decided to buy the ship, and so Thalira told her she would call up someone to bring a ship, and the deal would be done when the person arrived. But in reality, no one would ever show up. With that all done, Thalira shook the womans hand to signify a deal had been made, but during the shake Thalira used her other hand to pat the womans shoulder, where she also inconspicuously swiped a decorative brooch off the woman. After that, Thalira excused herself and went to find a drink as she examined her new possession. It would make a good buck on the black market.

"If you will excuse me for a moment." Nodding his head to [member="Dorin Arkx"] Sentus walked back into the crowds, moving through the mess with ease. Most people could tell enough by Sentus's uniform to give him space as he walked, a few looking up from their drinks and personal conversations to nod at him. It was draining on him to be locked in this social event for who knows how long. He much preferred to be elsewhere, either in a bar or on the bridge of a starship. As a drunk merchant stumbled into Sentus, spilling his drink across his new uniform, Sentus figured he was basically in a bar anyway.

As he began lowering the merchant into a chair, he spotted two figures across the room, both close to each other and yet standing apart. Moving towards them, Sentus gave both a brief nod of his head before reaching over and grabbing a fresh drink from a nearby table. Doing his best to ignore the stain that was sure to develop on the front of his uniform, Sentus dipped his head to the two before he began to speak.

"Welcome to the party, friends. I hope you find everything up to your standards?" As he spoke his eyes darted across the room to a conversation happening near another table, two young women speaking in soft energetic tones. As he watched the two smiled and reached for a handshake, and the one wearing the red suit deftly removed the brooch the noble had been wearing and slipping it away before anyone else could see. A smirk came to his face as he took a drink. He would have to speak with that woman later, talent like that could be of great use to the Federation. Raising his glass to her in case she looked this way, Sentus silently congratulated her skill before turning back to the current conversation,

So far Grajac had seemed to be doing well for himself in the communication department of this whole party thing, he had talked a few drunk guys into giving him a few credits after retrieving drinks for them, he had talked to a whole mess of different species he had never seen, and talked to multiple members of nobility he never dreamed of getting the chance to talk to. It was very new and foreign idea to Grajac to talk to people without having to worry if they were from some Cartel or trying to beat him dead. He was talking to a Duros soldier before he had looked over the man's shoulder and saw [member="Sentus Olan"] making his way through the crowd. Grajac would gasp and point at the man. "Hey, do you know who that fella is over there?", Grajac would ask the Duros as he pointed at Sentus. "Him? That's Sentus Olan you fool! He's the man of the hour, one of the men who put this party together."

Grajac would be caught off-guard at the comment and the realization that that was the host. He would nod towards the Duros and stumble past him, he would have to at least talk to him for a bit and get to know the man behind the party Grajac was crashing. Grajac would wave towards Sentus to try and get his attention, "Hey! Sentus!" Grajac would than cut himself short seeing everyone that would be forming around the man, he probably didn't stand a chance to talk to the nobleman due to how many people were around him. So, Grajac would slowly turn around and head towards the bar to grab a drink and watch Sentus do whatever he needed to do.

A girl hid in the shadows of the celebration. She was here on a mission, to kill a Neimoidian by the name of Klund Fomma. She was dressed for this event, for she had stolen the attire off the body of a high noblewoman a few days after she questioned her. Her long hair was placed in a long elegant braid but she didn't dare try to outshine any guests here as she watched them with prudent eyes. Lis'Ra sighed in frustration watching the Neimoidian's walk away down a corridor with guards posted on either side. She would get her chance later.

The woman's eyes lit up at the sight of a fully stocked bar. Making her way out of the shadows she walked with an elegance and grace of a past life she always tried to forget. Making her way up to the bar, she slid into a barstool and ordered a glass of their finest whiskey. She sat next to a man who almost seemed out of place at such an event. She huffed a bit of laughter and kept glancing behind her at the corridor hoping the Neimoidans would make another entrance.

Caedyn Arenais stood out among these people like a pair of rocks on a Rancor; The young man, the mere age of Eighteen standard human years had ties to many places and a wealthy family behind him back on Commenor, but he wasn't the type to go flaunting such things. In fact he'd gone out of his way to avoid looking like any such a person and instead simply wandered about the crowded room dressed in his "Spacer" gear. Civilian clothing made with the quality materials fit for space labor and workmanship, it looked nice and casual, felt comfortable but also housed his side-arm against his hip and his lightsaber beneath his jacket interior.

Thus far he had yet to run into his sister, [member="Loreena Arenais"]. She was expected to be here, after all, without her he had little reason to be feeling so out of place among peoples of certain political or financial importance. "High society", wasn't that what this was called? Reaching for his comm-link, he released the hand-held device from his belt and honed back in on his vessels frequency hoping to catch his good ol' droid companion. "Lexas, you seen any sign of the 'Jaster's Sparrow'? Most of these people...-Well, maybe all of 'em look a fair bit older than we are. What'd you say this gig was about, again?" the boy posed two questions within the first sentence with the typical speed of teenaged chatter that only a droid could decipher with flawless clarity.

"I'm afraid not Master Caedyn. Sensors aren't picking up on young Master Loreena's transponder codes, nor communications frequency at all. It would appear that the young lady has yet to arrive. As for your Hosts; you're invitation described a new organization, government and military by probable nature, which appear to represent many of the same ideals as House Arenais and the Commenori people. It is highly likely that this is the reason for your Sister's participation".

As Caedyn listened, his eyes scanned the people around him curiously. The Je'daii had taught him that tolerance and understanding of peoples of all natures, especially those that differed from his own, was a paramount attribute to hold whilst moving forward in life and a Galaxy as large and full of variety as their own. [member="Asha Hex"] had helped to influence the young man's open mind and the desire to meet and work with new people, to get a larger perspective of how the Galaxy works and what cultures and societies there were out there that were different from his home world's. Even still, it came as no surprise that Loreena would be attracted to others with the drive to fight for democracy, to stave off those who would otherwise wreck havoc over the worlds they came across, were they not kept in check. This way, he supposed, Lori probably figured she could take action without any danger of Commenor taking the fall for anymore trouble. Force knows they'd had their share of late.

Dorin watched [member="Sentus Olan"] retreat to the other guests, leaving his offered handshake unreturned. Dorin sighed quietly, draining the rest of his drink as his right hand came to rest on his utility belt. He muttered under his breath, "Ungrateful whelp..." Dorin looked around, signaling a server for another drink. He took the drink, looking over towards the bar, brow furrowing. Not out of anger, but concentration. Something was amiss.

But then again, that was probably his paranoia talking. Jumping at shadows. So long as this gathering didn't have any...major incidents, he'd consider it a success. Sure, he was here to make money, same as every other high-class mercenary, but...there was more at stake than well-paying jobs. He turned, and moved through the crowd, having spied a balcony above that had a few guests milling about. It would make a good vantage point... He didn't intend to stay long. One of his informants had just offered him an excellent lead on something important. But first...Well, he had some time to kill...

Lori looked over to [member="Orrico Wayke"] as the Federation's capital planet came into view. She leaned forward in her seat, squinting her eyes a little. Already she felt the presence of her twin brother [member="Caedyn Arenais"] . What was he doing here? Checking up on her? Or did their Dad send him? Hmmm. She punched in the clearance codes that would give the Jaster's Sparrow permission to land. "Let's see what jobs we can pick up here. I don't want to risk missing out on my deadline." She had a debt to pay off to [member="Kaine Australis"] for her ship and operating costs, and she was determined to not have the payment late. Sure she could ask her family for the money, but she wanted to prove that she could take care of herself. Asking them for money wouldn't help in that.

As Orrico would take the ship in to land, Lori disappeared over to her Captain's quarters to get herself ready. What should she wear? It was a party. Hmm. A fancy dress? Or should she show that she was there for shipping work and the like too? Hmmm...

Maybe a blouse then. She slipped it on with some black slacks and boots. Yeah, that was better than looking TOO fancy. Never know what kind of celebration or party this was.

After she was changed she headed back over to the cockpit. "It should be safe here. At least, I'm not expecting any trouble." Lori snorted. "And I'll try not to let it find me either."

Orrico set the ship down on the designated landing pad as gentle as ever. "Touch down, Jaster's Sparrow is powering down engines. Have a good'un, control." Orrico powered down the engines, and prepared the ship to rest while they were away. "Big ole party like this, they'll have plenty of security..." He stood, and plucked his coat from the back of the navigator's chair, holding it while he rolled his sleeves down. He looked [member="Loreena Arenais"] up and down for a second, almost a confused look on his face. "You're wearin' that? You do realize this is a fancy joint, lil' lady? There'll be ambassadors from all over the galaxy in there."

He pulled his coat on, and fastened it across the breast, clipping his datapad into the arm mount. "Kinda surprised your folks didn't send someone out here. But, whatever reasons they have for not pursuing a relationship with this up and comin' Federation, I'm sure it's a good'un." He plucked a pistol off the console, and tucked it into his waistband, hidden behind his coat. Sure, plenty of security, but it never hurt to be sure. "Either way lil' lady, I'm ready when you are."

Sentus cleared his throat as he stepped up onto the viewing platform, the eyes of the room turning to him, and the near deafening roar of hundreds of conversations slowly coming to a stop. He gave is another few seconds before he finally began to speak, his voice easily carrying through the Federal Assembly chamber.

"Friends, I welcome you all to Oroaturoo. This day marks a momentous occasion, one that shall go down in history across the galaxy as the beginning of a new age. Today, the Federation of Allied Systems has officially been founded!" He paused while scattered applause filled the room, mostly from Federal soldiers and politicians, though a few visitors joined in as well. Locking a smile to his face, Sentus went on to continue his speech, briefly making eye contact with many of those in the room. "The Federation of Allied Systems is founded in the belief that the innocent of this galaxy must be protected at all costs from the darkness that stands nearly unchallenged. We shall stride forth into the galaxy to rebuild those worlds that have been destroyed by endless war. We shall stand by those whose lives have been forever changed by endless war waged on their worlds, and do what we can to rebuild their lives. We shall establish our domain across the galaxy, and promote Prosperity, Opportunity, and Unity for all!"

He paused once again, letting his words fill the chamber before he continued, the smile falling slowly from his face. "Do not be mistaken though, the Federation of Allied Systems, while focusing on the economic and diplomatic advancement of the galaxy, will not be without teeth. The Federal Defense Fleet even know has begun to gather in orbit over this world, vessels filled to the brim with men and women ready to defend the ideals of the Federation wherever they are challenged, and protect the innocent at whatever the cost. The Federal Army, whom of some you can see in this room, stand ready to fortify and protect the people of the galaxy against those tyrants and villains that would use them as nothing but pawns in their games of power. United, the Federal Military shall defend the Federation of Allied Systems and those it has sworn to protect, both inside our borders, and abroad."

"For now, please enjoy the feast we have prepared for you all, and join us in celebrating the dawn of a new age!" Extending his hand out to the ceiling, Sentus snapped his fingers, signalling for dozens of banners to fall from above, unfurling and billowing in the chamber. Each depicted the Federation of Allied Systems in some way. Stepping down from the podium, he moved away from the crowds, heading to see if he couldn't find the Nemodians.

LIs'Ra set her drink down as she watched Sentus step up and begin this speech she had no care for. Holding onto the strap of her backpack she melted back into the shadows and began observing the room. She noticed many people milling about, their eyes trained to Sentus, everyone here had their own agenda, she knew places like this: important people all under one roof, people like her come here to wreak havoc or to complete their own agenda. Smirking she looked up as banners fell, excellent.

She left the main room and wandered the halls, she would smile and offer her hand in greeting to wealthy merchants as she pass by them, her backpack was held tightly in her hand as she greeted each and every one of them with a courtesy she had almost forgotten. As she walked she stopped when she noticed something that normally people would look over. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at a servant's staircase. Licking her lips she smiled, she was about to have a really good weekend.

Dorin hadn't lingered on the balcony long. He had no interest in speeches. He'd heard more than he cared to, and he'd given quite a number himself. No, his path lay elsewhere. Slowly, quietly, he move through the crowd. His eyes locked on something. Or some one. He moved effortlessly amid the people, gently pushing and guiding people out of his path. Many of them wouldn't even notice his passing. Then he reached his destination, or rather, his target reached hers.

Dorin came to a stop behind [member="Lis'Ra Fennick"] and crossed his arms over his chest. "Guests aren't meant to be here, little one." He stared at the back of her head, looking her figure up and down. Appraising her. Trying to decide what she was up to. "They say the Force moves around those with the desire to kill. Me, I don't put much stock in old wive's tales. So, what say we assume you're lost, and I offer to buy you a drink?" Hopefully she was the reasonable kind. Otherwise...well...things could get messy....

She turned to face the mystery voice. Her green eyes stared at [member="Dorin Arkx"] with an annoyed yet stoic look. Her heart was racing in her throat but she didn't dare to let that show. This kill was worth 70,000 credits, she couldn't afford to lose this opportunity, but at the same time the Neimoidians were nowhere in sight and after all he was offering to buy her a drink. Her shoulders were tight as her defenses were on edge. She swept a strand of her blond hair that escaped the braid behind her ear and bit her lower lip nervously. She knew if she caused a scene she would be spotted and arrested on sight, but if she stayed for a drink with this mystery man she might miss her opportunity to strike.

Sighing she gave out a small smile. "I would be happy to have one drink with you." her smile broke out into a grin and her mannerisms were forced.

Lori smirked as [member="Orrico Wayke"] seemed to disapprove of her choice of clothing. As if he was one to talk! He was wearing an old duster of a jacket and packing heat! "I'll wear a big fancy dress when you start wearing a tux! And come on...high security, remember? Why arm yourself so much, huh? Afraid to get into a tussle?" She stuck her tongue out at him, knowing that it was purely for precaution. But if he was going to tease her, then she'd do the same.

As he mentioned her family, Lori hesitated a little. She still hadn't gone into full detail with him about her family. But Orrico seemed to know enough already. "Maybe they didn't know about it. They've been kinda busy...." She headed on over to the ramp so that they could get to the celebration. "Besides...my brother's around here somewhere. Maybe they sent him?" Lori had felt the presence of [member="Caedyn Arenais"] when they had jumped out of hyperspace. She just wasn't trained enough to pinpoint him yet.

Exiting the Jaster's Sparrow, she put on a big grin as she walked down the ramp with a near bounce to her step. "It's showtime! I hope that there's plenty of desserts!" Oh yes, the snack tables will be the first spot for her to go to!
