A Maze of Fire and Ice.

Another class for Yuroic to teach, this time, his Padawan Seth had requested a lesson in cryokinesis and pyrokinesis which was something that Yuroic thought would be an interesting class to teach a group. Yuroic decided that a simple class was pretty basic, instead, he wanted to come up with a new interesting way to teach the skills. There had been classes with cooking and such already had been done. So Yuroic was slightly stumped at what he could do to teach a new version of pyrokinesis and cryokinesis.

An idea flickered into his head, a maze or puzzle designed to only be completed if the person can correctly use pyrokinesis and cryokinesis. Renting out a fairly large room, Yuroic spent the day organising the room into the perfect puzzle room that was challenging the further one progressed. It was not overly difficult but would push the Padawans in order to make sure that they could use the powers that Yuroic wanted them to learn. His maze/puzzle started with a large pool of water to cross, too cold to swim in and the pool was too large to jump over. This would be the first task to overcome, using cryokinesis to freeze the water and cross the pool.

Yuroic waited by the pool, available for questions and offer guidance through the puzzle/maze. Hopefully after the first few challenges, they would be able to complete it without his help. There was 4 or 5 tests in the maze.

Sigyn was nervous. Nothing else, just nervous. How could she think it would be a good idea to og to this class. Pyrokinesis and cryokinesis was way Beyond her Level of force-Powers. She had only learned the basic Powers, nothing near this expertise of the force. But she had still said she would come to the class.

Now, she found herself on her way to the room the class would be held in. She had no idea how the class would be held, what they were going to do. Would it only be Learning the knowledge to use these Powers, and then just try them out, or would it be something more challenging? All the masters did their classes quite differently, so it was never easy to know.

Sigyn stopped a few steps from the room. I can't do this, she thought. I will never make it. I will only end up embarrasing myself. She wanted to turn and walk away, but something stopped her. It was impossible for her to move her legs to walk away. The doubt was eating her up. She both wanted to just walk away, but she also wanted to try this class. Maybe she could be good at cryokinesis, given her growing up in a pretty Cold Place.

It didn't really matter what she wanted. Her legs wouldn't agree to walking away. She took a deep breath, turned back, and walked inside to room. Inside, there was a pool, and one of the Masters. One Sigyn had not met before. He seemed Nice, though. "G-good day, master," she stuttered as she walked up to him. She felt really out of Place here. But there was no turning back. She would just have to og through With this lesson.

Vattas the Hutt glided into the large room, much preferring the doorways to these sorts of training areas which were made quite accommodating, he assumed for heavy training equipment. Inside was the instructor and a padawan he had previously encountered in another class. The Hutt bowed politely to the man. “Greetings, teacher.” Following this, he gave an acknowledging nod to his fellow padawan. Based on the surroundings, this would seem to be a much more ‘hands-on’ lesson.

[SIZE=11pt]Vattas wasn’t very interested in cryo or pyrokinesis, though he understood the theory in-depth. This was, once again, an attempt to become more active in the Order from his hermitage in the archives. Besides, there was no downside in developing his Force skills, even if he found them, ah, redundant for his needs. Life was unpredictable, and therefore it was important to become continually more flexible to deal with such.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The padawan moved himself by the walls to allow himself to take up the least amount of space out of courtesy for those who may come after him. In the meantime, he took in the obstacles in the room, the pool of water foremost, and smiled. He did not often practice hubris, fearing the potential narcissism so common in his species, though in this trial, with a calm analysis, Vattas took pride in his people.[/SIZE]

For being the one who insisted his mentor Master Yuroic should offer some teachings in Pyrokinesis and Cyrokinesis. Seth apparently was a bit late to the destination. Admittedly, prior to his arrival Seth had been on the training grounds attempting to improve his bladework, and archery skills. He was quite diligent in his archery training knowing the applications it would inevitably be utilized for. Though it still did not excuse his middle, to end of the pack arrival. He'd need to be more wary of time limits.

Seth entered dressed in charcoal grey robes with dark green trimmings. Charcoal grey pants and black shoes. He had made sure to place his lightsabers in a safe location amoungst his outfit. Seth was wary enough to consider that something could happen at any given moment.

The first thing that caught his attention was [member="Vattas the Hutt"] mostly because Seth never expected to be training aside a member from the aforementioned lineage. It was a pleasant surprise. From there he glanced to the pool. Then turned his attention towards his mentor [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] as well as [member="Sigyn Vanir"] who seemed quite unsure of herself. Seth gave a slight nod of his head in acknowledgement and then patiently waited for the giving instruction. So, it seemed class was both featuring new faces to get familiar with as well as new lessons to learn.

Three students was a decent turnout for the maze, Yuroic looked at the trio and gave them a warm smile. The first to arrive was the most nervous, almost ready to leave from what he could sense, the second was a Hutt, which he had heard was training and interesting to see it. Most Hutts were the biggest fan of Jedi, Hutts tended to make money from business that Jedi disapproved of and tended to stop them. However, it was good to see one here, be interesting to see how well his Huttese was since he didn't really speak much bar Galactic Basic anymore. Then there was his Padawan, Seth, who was the last to arrive but it was good to see the young man ready to learn.

"So, might be curious as to what this all is, today I am teaching you Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis. However, we will be going down a more unique route, this is a maze I set up to test your skills. Don't worry, the tasks will be simple to start with and become more complex as we go further into the maze. I will show you the basics of the powers but you will have to do some problem solving to figure out the other tasks later on." Yuroic informed them, gesturing to the large pool, "This is a fairly deep, large pool that is very cold. Too cold to swim and too far to jump. So our first task will be to use Cryokinesis to freeze a path for ourselves."

Raising a hand, Yuroic focused on his mind on cooling the water in front of him to freezing point. Forging a path of ice that he could walk on to the other side. Once he had done that, he shattered the path with the Force to stop the others from walking on it. "Now, to do this, you need to focus your mind. Use the Force to cool the air, to reduce the temperature of the water. Don't try freezing all the water, just a bit in front of you and then step on it. You can do this, might take a while but there is no rush to complete it." Yuroic informed them as he watched from his position on the other side, ready to help if someone fell in or was struggling.

It was good to see a familiar face enter the room after Sigyn had come in. [member="Vattas the Hutt"] and her had been in a lesson together before, and despite his unfamiliar species, he was Nice. The last to enter was completly unknown to Sigyn. There was not much to say about him yet, other than he seemed more confident than her, at least.

Well, I might be able to do the first tasks, she thought as [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] told them about the tasks, and that they would start easy and become harder as they progressed. It also became Clear what the pool was there for. I could probably survive the temperature, she thought, given her species lived in a very Cold climate. But I'll do as you say.

This first task was at least about something she was familiar With, Cold temperature. It would be easy for her to imagien the Cold, and hopefully that would make it easy to Project it With the force too. She closed her eyes, and imagined how it would feel to be on Midvinter now, in comparisson to here on Kashyyyk. Then she focused on the force, and on projecting the feeling of cool and Cold climate through it. She raised her hand towards the water, and unleashed the feeling towards the water in front of her. When she opened her eyes, she was surprised by the sight of a patch of ice in front of her in the water. She had only focused on unleashing it right in front of her, so it wasn't very big. But it was there. "I- I did it" she stuttered again. Now, it was only to make a path across. She closed here eyes again, and focused on it once more.
