Hi, Ovmar again with one of his wacky ideas.
We all here have our favorite characters, that one gal that makes you go wow everytime she steps onto the scene, that one guy who turns everything upside down the moment he jumps in… what if we could RP them? At least for the duration of a single, short story.
I have been considering ways to go around this, because let’s face it… our characters are valuable to us, we have spent time and time again developing them into what they are today. So it’s pretty daunting to just give away control, even if it’s for one story.
After some thoughts and more thoughts I have come up with the following idea. If you, as a writer, would like to see what other people can do with your characters post here. Tell me the name of the character(s) which you allow to be written and I will compile a list.
In a few days I will then post a second thread with the official list and in that thread people will be able to post up a short story with a character of the list. I ain’t expecting people to turn in a novella, but that would be pretty fun!
The stories would be strictly non-canon and would have to conform to the rules of the board of course. So keep your fancy slash fic fantasies to that shady skype chat you are hosting, kiddingnotkidding.
Keep in mind that these are the creations of other writers, they are allowing you to use their characters and you should respect that, parodies will be allowed to a degree, but don’t overstep any unnecessary boundaries.
To show that I can be a good sport I will put up my name first.
