As John had prepared to speak Caedyn's voice stopped him short, his head tilting to the side as he considered the boy and his questions. They were fair, given the state of the galaxy right now everyone seemed to be looking to their own borders and their defences. Turning in his chair, John swivelled to face the prince nodding his head at him as his voice filled the quiet of the room, "There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that should the Sith choose to move against your territory in force, or if you should ever just need help shoring up your defences then we would be there in a heartbeat. It's a poor neighbour who would leave their neighbour to face a threat like that...any threat without helping." For a moment the man's eyes flicked up past Caedyn to the Queen, including her in his statement, hoping to assure her at the same time. "We've sent fleets across the galaxy to help our friends and allies, to help those in need no matter who they are. What your mother, what you all have created here is a bastion of peace, perhaps one of the last places in the galaxy where a family can come knowing they won't be swept up in the tides of war that seem to build all around us. Should you need anything, any help or any support you have but to ask and the Silver Jedi Order will do everything within our power to assist you."

"If the Sith attack your worlds, if you ever feel they might threaten it then just let us know and if I have to bring the fleet myself I will, assistance for as long as you need us. As you said, your family, the entire alliance has only ever tried to help people in need, how can we do anything less." Leaning back in his chair the man let a smile touch his lips, "But hopefully peace and cool heads prevail and it doesn't come to that. As Gir said if you provide us with all the information you have on the paths, we'll have out pilots plot and clear the routes for you while we'll have as many decoys as we can manage provided to you to help cover the refugees seeking their way to your territory." Now the man's dark eyes rested on Kay's face, "If you need assistance with the refugees I'm sure the silver circle healers, or our support teams would be more than happy to provide what medical and logistics aid that we could. Those refugees have been through a lot, and if we can make their lives any easier we'd be happy to help with that."

Kay was about to answer [member="Gir Quee"] and let him know that he was ready to get started when [member="Caedyn Arenais"] asked about the Jedi helping. She wasn't so sure about that. The Silvers and herself didn't really see eye to eye on how to handle matters. Most especially when it came to war. Whereas she kept to the more pacifist route, others tended to shoot first and ask questions later. So she was quite certain that her people would be on their own.

She had to hand it to Caedyn and his point of view. His knowledge of the Systems Alliance relationship with other governments was very limited. Both of her children remained out of government affairs, neither of them taking an interest in taking on a leadership role. All of that was fine however, for she deeply felt that the monarchy would start and end with herself. So there was no need to put any pressure on the twins.

She turned to [member="John Locke"] then as he spoke, a flicker of guilt tugging at her gut, knowing full well that she had turned down helping the Silvers in their wars on more than one occasion. "Thank you.
I'll try to remember that. Any refugees will be rerouted through our southern borders. It will take longer, but the more direct route would just put them in Sith hands."
No doubt to be tortured or worse. "Thank you gentlemen. I believe that we should get started. I'll have the old routes co-ordinates sent to you straight away."
