99 Problems (ORC Podrace Raid - ATTN TGE)

Sith Lords had downtime... One particular one had a very interesting hobby: podracing. Last time he raced it was when the One Sith claimed ownership of Phu. He was racing with the same Pod, the White Racer. There was another racer in the midst with a Pod that represented the chiss, his was more specific. The White racer was an experimental, Ion engine powered, high tech, manual and standard drive Pod racer with a sealed cockpit that had emblazoned the symbol of House Chaf, great house of Csilla. It's power was top speed but it's acceleration was moderate at best, once all racers sped off Mythos behind the white suit of the racer traced behind and slowly began to catch up. The Ion engines had been reworked since then, the cockpit was decked out with new toys and a cooling system to counteract the extreme heat the ion thrusters had when reaching top speeds. This thing got hot quick... A racer had already taken the comfortable lead but Mythos was at very far second place.

Suddenly a mystery speeder appeared in Mythos' rear cam. "Unknown Vehichle entered the track" The A.I. of the racer said in a female voice with a Chiss accent warning Mythos of the new threat to the pod. "I'm aware Fantana, track and signal" He said, punching the thruster into a slight boost that reached it's top speed. He was now gaining ground behind the lead. In the overveiw map of the display the vehichle driving erratically was highlighted and it's path began to be tracked. This racer was very high maintenance but for toys and advantages like this it was well worth it. It's interior was in white leather and chrome insides, both ion engines and it's exteriors in Yellow and White, the colors of the Chiss house. When Mythos turned the booster while in top speed, everything lit up in a blue hue. It was time to get fancy racing done.

First turn, He hugged the left and stepped on the clutch while releasing the gas, the racer executed a beautiful drift. When Aligned to the track he punched it again. "Excellent maneuver Animus." Said the AI, bringing a smile to his face. "Thanks. Watch this" He turned two exhaust levers and released the piston gauge on the controls. The heat from the overclocked ion engines was funneled into the pistons and it ignited on blue fire sending his racer into an uncontrollable blast. He was now looking at [member="Dunames Lopez"] side by side while they raced into the infamous tight corridor of stone. He waved, but inside his helmet while he seemed to be looking at her the frontal camera allowed him to look where he was driving as well. "Nice Pod you got there." he said below his breath. This was going to be a good way to blow off steam.

Through fleeing and screaming crowds, Dagon finally made his way close enough to the viewing platform before the darn speeder on the rooftop of the platform...fell.

It's trajectory of fall was right in front of him, a chunk of rock flew down smashing something. The detective aimed with his ion pistol at the engines of the speeder but before the bolt could hit it the speeder once more proceeded in falling, this time towards the tracks. He did not give another glance at where his bolt might've fallen in the chaos of the viewing platform as his full attention was on the pick up vehicle which was heading uncontrollably towards the track.

Dagon holstered his pistol and cursed underneath his breath for what he was about to do.

He took a step back before lunging at a passing by camera-droid that hovered randomly. His weight shifted the droid's movement and forced it to head after the speeder, although from a higher altitude than that of the runaway group.

Electricity flickered and Dagon realized the droid's small repulsors were about to give in. He swung himself off the small droid on time as it shut down into oblivion. The ranger's body free fell right on the rebels' speeder. With a heavy thud he fell on the tinplate surface of the speeder and needless to say, he knew his idea wasn't the best there is.

Riding on the trunk side of the speeder of rebels, clinging to whatever he could, Dagon forced himself to utter:

"Stop...this vehicle! You...you're under ARREST!"

"Dunames is in the lead, with Mythos now second"

As the ten remaining racers made their approach towards the corridor of stone, There were several corridors of stone here, connecting the three plains of the circuit: the Mushroom Mesa, the Desert Plain and the Hutt Flats. As everybody knew in the podracing circuit that could actually aspire to run in the Boonta Classic, smaller, nimbler pods had an advantage in segments like Beggar's Canyon, as they passed through the Stone Needle and onward to the Diablo Cut, which led to Main Street. Usually nimbler pods like the Stinger 627 S or her own Gyaban 787 had good accelerations as well. But because braking was not exactly the strongest suit of this pod, she had to time her braking well in advance of the Dead Man's Turn. Yes, Dunames did overtake [member="Mythos"] before entering Beggar's Canyon, and is now in the lead, just that she didn't know squat about how the other racers still standing approached a race. Maneuverability was key for everybody to navigate Beggar's Canyon, especially at those speeds; as she saw Mythos closing in on her near the Dead Man's Turn, she began to be worried about him. Would Mythos be able to overtake her by the Dead Man's Turn?

There was an audible crack, even over the blasterfire and whine of the speeder's repulsor lift. The viewing platform's balcony had cracked, tumbling down unto the crowd and barely hovering over them. The angle was conducive to a slide, and the enemy speeder found it's way unto the track. [member="Desmond C'artyom"]'s men had moved with impressive quickness, securing Stamoss and Balfour as well as he peppered a couple of shots at [member="Jada Raxis"], attempting to get her off of his officer [member="Fabian"] . Balfour would comply with the direction and enthusiasm of C'artyom's troops as they began extraction. He would also comm over to [member="Anjin Kent"].

"Zeta-Lead this is Castle Actual. Commander C'artyom and his detail have the situation almost at hand here. Divert course to the pod track and assist the sector ranger([member="Dagon Mor"]) in apprehending the insurgents." ([member="Jorus Merrill"] [member="Judah Dashiell"]).

Captain August got to the security office, in a first order uniform. He entered and one of them looked up, and then looked down again. They moved through the room, looking like they knew what they doing. No one took any notice of them, as their was an attack on the way. Then they got ready to take out the room, they out numbered the first order in this room. As they had extra people outside, though not in the room. Then he gave order over his intercom to guy outside, Now! as he said the men outside burst in, and the first order troops tried to fire at them. They got shot quickly in back, and then it was time to strip them, and steal their uniforms. As this was going on, he sat down and listened to comms and started seeing what the first order was upto, as well as giving some diversionary orders. He then had an idea, he grinned You did not become one best fighting units in galaxy by sitting around and watching, he hoped [member="Jorus Merrill"] had plan for [member="Vilhelm Balfour"]. He was going to help, Everyone in a uniform with me, let's go and meet this Castle Actual, and get out of here. Those not in uniform, guard here, and give alternative and try divert first orders forces where possible then when time right torch this room and destroy all cctv. Then he ran towards castle actual postion, they could move through crowded easier, as they had uniforms on, soon they would be at his position.

What does a sniper and artist have in common, deta
Things seemed to be kicking off, for what reason, Formorta did not know, just a lot of shooting and blaster fire going off, whatever the case the Imperials where out in force, trying to quell the riot and neutralize the threat, but the question remained, who would she help. True to some regard the Empire was her enemy, but such a fact was a secret and her allegiance to certain governmental institution had to be kept secret, to the galaxy she was a free, worked for whoever mercenary and assassin, not caring who her employer was.

Perhaps it would be best just to leave, no one had to know she was here, better that way if it turned out to be terrorists attacking, though lending an invisible helping hand to those in need might get her in good with certain people. Decision decisions, this was why she preferred to work solo, team stuff just was not up her ally, having a clear-cut goal was also helpful too. Uncloaking her stealth devices, the expert sniper jumped down from her elevated spot, into the bleachers, observing the carnage as people ran around panicking, soldiers and storm troopers exchanging fire.

Eyeing the surrounding area, she saw what looked to be ORC troops that had instigate the attack, where the two at war, or was it an 'independent attack by rouge forces' like the Empire always claim during their raids on neutral worlds. Perhaps she could say hello the Koda, maybe inform him that she claimed the bounty, lest an altercation comes up later at their employer’s palace.

The Bounty Hunter further moved inside, firing his blaster carbine at the Outer Rim Coalition troopers that attacked the Imperial Executives or so it seemed. One was on top of Moff Fabian, hailing punches down in his direction. Though Fett didn't fire upon her, instead he thrust his left wrist upwards and fired a whipcord towards the back the woman, hopefully it had landed, he hadn't exactly made his presence directly known to her which would leave her relatively open to attack by him. If it did land, the chord would wrap around her figure, binding her upper-half entirely as Koda yanked backwards, attempting to rip Raxis off of Fabian. With his right hand, the carbine still remained free, firing off at ORC opposition all the while.

If Formorta came in with the intention of bragging then she wouldn't be met with open-arms, in fact, regardless of the meaning nobody was really met with open-arms from Fett. He never was very kind, but if the Assassin did what she possibly intended to do then a third fight may break loose. A reputation was everything to a bounty hunter...

SITUATIONAL OVERVIEW

[member="Dunames Lopez"], [member="Mythos"] - racing
[member="Jada Raxis"], [member="Fabian"], [member="Vilhelm Balfour"], [member="Desmond C'artyom"], [member="Koda Fett"], [member="Formorta"] - Stamoss' viewing platform or close enough
Jorus Merrill, [member="Judah Dashiell"], [member="Dagon Mor"] - getaway car, podrace track

Bad things came in threes, Jorus' mother always used to say, and today certainly qualified. For one, the target had boasted way more Imperial protection than anticipated. For another thing, though just about all the living ORCers had piled into the speeder, Jada Raxis hadn't made it aboard before the vehicle went into its slide. And worst of all, a freaking Imperial was clinging to the trunk. The wind drowned out his shouts, but their substance was pretty obvious.

At this point, half a dozen Underground commandos were crammed into the back seat of the speeder. Without further ado, they started unloading their weapons through the back window. The jolts and unplanned maneuvers of the podrace track threw their aim wide, most of the time. The idea here was to make Dagon Mor go away by one method or another.

Meanwhile, Jorus did his level best to keep his attention on the track, which wound through miles of nasty desert and hoodoos and the like. The city of Mos Espa was in the rearview already, though the speeder could reach maybe a third of a podracer's maximum velocity. He thanked the Force for instinctive navigation and kept avoiding collisions with one eye glued to the rearview. Maybe half a mile ahead, an ugly transport was coming in low: the getaway car for the getaway car.

As soon as reports of the attack came in, the Inquisitors had been notified. A very high profile target was among the rebels who had attempted to assassinate an Imperial official. [member="Jorus Merrill"], an infamous Jedi who had fought in countless conflicts, even beside the Republic of old. A very impressive individual, and one that Imperial command would be pleased to have behind a containment cell field.

Normally, Inquisitors were not present on backwater worlds like Tatooine, but because of the many Imperial officials attending this event, security had secretly been increased dramatically. Still, Inquisitor Garonnin had not thought he would be needed, and thus was stationed on a cruiser in orbit. A lone escort shuttle was cleared for departure, and sent down to the surface.

The craft sailed over Mos Espa, with the podrace track still somewhat in the distance. It appeared as if the race had just begun, though there was another speeder altogether that seemed to be losing control. No doubt the foolish rebels. The scanners also revealed another ship in the distance, that was rapidly approaching the rebel speeder. The shuttle Thetan rode in was fast, but not fast enough to stop the two crafts from their rendezvous. Increasing to maximum speed, the ship continued on its path, laser cannons hot and ready to burn.

Location: Track
Objective: Not die. Show Off.

Most racers with a brain with a few functioning cells would slow down at the sight of the tight rock corridor. Fact of the matter was that if you saw enough races in this rack you would notice a particular trend: Most Racers never finished the race, most of them died and they died here. Inside the cockpit of the white racer a hologram depicting a three dimensional overview of the inside of the canyon came light and inside his HUD helmet Mythos saw everything and calculated accordingly. As he neared the entrance of the tight corridor not only did the mad Sith speed up but he also hugged the rocky walls. With one pull of his level and a click on a familiar switch the sound of the AI responded in kind. "Gravity Clamps engaged" The Ion thrusters protested in kind as the white racer hugged the wall of the canyon and began racing not on sand but in the stone of the walls defying gravity. The speed the racer was going in and the added help of the gravity clamps allowed Mythos to ride in the wall and overlap the racers in front of him then bust out flying through the roof of the canyon. It wasn't meant to gain any significant advantage in racing, it was meant to defy death and his limits.

He pulled hard back on the controls, pressing the clutch and switching gears in mid air as he changed his road while flying and landing in the walls of the next canyon like a pro hoverboader. As soon as the speeders twin engines hit the rocky surface of the race track they burned alight with a boost blast. The momentum of the jump and the overclocking of the ion engines blasted Mythos and his speeder to a point where the speedometer was at max and flashing blue and red. "Top speed engaged."

He could barely see the road at this point, humans don't podrace... that's a fact. There was a legend of a boy, a child who raced in this very track and won but that was a folks tale. A legend of a child human who could podrace and win this cup to Mythos was more preposterous than any tale any digsite he had dug up ever brought up. The reason why Humans don't podrace is because they simply lack the reflexes and extra limbs to control a podracer at the levels that others might. Two things made Mythos able to not only compete but outshine; the racer he built was modified specifically to mold into his human capabilities and extremities and... he had the power of the force on his side and he knew it. When the rocks began flying past him Mythos fell into the power of the force and let it guide his hands at top speed through the most perilous of the twists and turns of the race. He lost sight of who was in first place, he did not know if he was in first place at all. He wasn't here to win, it was training and thrill seeking.

This was first a foremost, training in force sense and his reflexes both physically and in the force. It was also fun as kark.
