- Description: The Silver Jedi Concord encompasses hundreds of inhabited star systems in which local governments have their own organized defense or security forces. The 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry Regiment is one example of such forces, tracing its direct lineage to the times of the original New Republic many years ago. At its heart, the 3rd is a mechanized infantry force which uses the high speed of its repulsorlift vehicles to quickly transverse the battlefield to strategically concentrate its force on the battlefield. The 3rd's commander, Colonel Daltin, is known to have plans for several eventualities on hand at nearly all times, and is not adverse to quickly following to back-up plan if the first plan is not producing what he deems the right results, which frequently means the large scale movement of soldiers on their vehicles to hit a weaker point somewhere else in the enemy's lines. On a lower tactical level, the Daybreak Veterans are well known for their extensive use of explosive warheads and speciality mortar rounds to hunt enemy armored vehicles or to enable movement by their individual fire teams. The 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry Regiment is currently deployed to the Concord's Northeast region in preparation for a possible war with the New Imperial Order.

- Combat Function: The 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry fulfill the traditional role of mechanized infantry, moving quickly through their use of high speed repulsorlift vehicles to quickly seize key terrain features or reinforce weak points in friendly lines. Typically the small number of heavy tanks augmented by heavy speeders quickly descend on area to seize it with surprise and overwhelming firepower before the mainstay of the regimental infantrymen arrive in patrol speeders and repulsorlift APCs and dismount to filter in to eliminate any number of pockets of enemy resistance while simultaneously setting up their own positions. Before the Bryn'adul war, much of their training was focused on urban combat, and this still shows in the use of specialized close-quarter soldiers in each fire team as well as the presence of a plasma punch on the squad level to quickly make new breaches through doors or even simply through walls. To this day, the group favors making unpredictable entrances and exits using this device. However, following the Battle of Daybreak Canyon, a larger emphasis has been put on the ability to destroy heavily armored foes, which shows in an almost preponderance of explosive weapons at even the squad level. Typically, each fireteam in a squad alternates as a maneuver element and a fire support element - Heavy firepower from one team is key to suppressing enemies while another advances to take their next objective. The Daybreak Veterans have very little compunction about using explosive rockets to wipe out even small prepared fighting positions during these movements, as they place speed of movement as a priority over ammunition conservation. This last problems is partially rectified by their vehicles frequently have reloads for their rocket launchers and mortars. While each mortar in a squad can be used as classical light artillery, they are more frequently used to provide covering fire or special effects in conjunction with fire team movements - the mortar may consequently provide a smoke screen to obscure a fire team's movement or launch a coma gas round into a building that a fire team is just about to breach.
- Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
- Mobile: Every soldier within this unit has a repulsorlift based ride, meaning that the Veterans of Daybreak Canyon can move very quickly on the battlefield to reinforce weak spots in friendly lines or exploit those within enemy lines.
- Armor Hunters: A strong emphasis has been placed on training and equipping infantrymen on how to defeat armored vehicles in this unit. A detailed understanding of typical armor tactics and vehicle weakpoints combined with a large amount of explosive weaponry even at the squad level tends to make them very adept at disabling or destroying enemy vehicles. Most vehicles within the regiment have some of their cargo space dedicated to carrying ordnance reloads for these weapons.
- Prepared: Colonel Daltin is the sort of commander who goes through great lengths to have preparations in place for a variety of circumstances that the regiment might find themselves in. There are usually back-up plans in place for most common tactical possibilities and even some uncommon ones which the troops are all well-drilled in. Unbeknownst to most soldiers in the regiment and even some of its junior officers, Daltin has an informal network of seasoned soldiers at all levels that effectively act as an internal security force outside of the formal military police, which has greatly reduced corruption within the unit and deters possible infiltration attempts.
- Short-Ranged Anti-Personnel Weapons: Because the unit is typically embarked in vehicles, personal weapons were largely chosen for their small size, with most having fairly short barrels. While this makes carrying these weapons convenient when within their vehicles, their short barrels mean that they lack the range of many typical infantry weapons, let alone sniper rifles and other similar weapons.
- Explosive Liabilities: Giving the 3rd so many explosive weapons to deal with enemy armor units is also something of a liability - a soldier may well use the weapon incorrectly leading to friendly or civilian casualties. Similiarly, a lucky hit by an enemy may hit one of these explosive weapons, causing an entire squad to simply disappear in a massive fireball.
- Distrust: Colonel Daltin and most of his command staff has a noticeable distrust of officers outside of the regiment, in large part due to the unpreparedness of the other Virujansi units before the start of the Bryn'adul invasion. He tends to be very sparing in the aid and cooperation he gives to outside forces until they prove themselves several times over.
The 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry Regiment has a long, storied tradition that can be traced to shortly after the establishment of the New Republic as a planetary defense force. Over the years, its defensive mission changed frequently as the galaxy changed, with the unit having focused on everything from being an honor guard at the capital to an expeditionary force for the local sector government. Its transition from a simple, footbound infantry regiment to a mechanized one occurred roughly two hundred years ago. More recently, the 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry Regiment was deployed outside of their home system as part of the Silver Jedi Concord forces that sought to stem the tide of the marauding Bryn'adul. In this war, the 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry participated in about a dozen battles with their most famous action being the Battle of "Daybreak Canyon". The regiment had taken up defensive positions in a canyon on Kintan where they had sought to delay a bryn'adul advance as a rearguard action while other Concord forces evacuated in the face of overwhelming military might. Doggedly, Colonel Daltin and his men managed to throw back the enemy advances in large part by sacrificing their vehicles by making near suicide runs with them or turning them into impromptu barricades. While successful in this endeavor by holding off the Bryn'adul advance until daybreak, Colonel Daltin spent much time in reequipping and training its surviving soldiers and replacement soldiers with a variety of anti-armor weapons in order to be better prepared for their next "Daybreak Canyon". Newly invigorated with personnel and better equipment, the 3rd Virujansi Mobile Infantry Regiment is now the premier Virujansi army unit - it has been forwarded to federal Silver Jedi Concord service by the request of Colonel Daltin himself.
