SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Mechanical Operation: The TwinStar uses purely mechanical mechanisms to operate to include a flip-up site and friction rocket igniters, meaning that Ion, EMP, and weapons with similar effects are unlikely to affect its function.
  • Twin Tube Design: The TwinStar is a combination of two separate warhead launchers. The larger bottom tube acts as a typical, single-shot launcher that can fire a wide variety of starfighter-grade missiles, making it well-suited for anti-vehicle and anti-aircraft work. This tube can house missiles as a diminutive 3t3 to ones as large as a proton rocket. The upper tube acts as a superimposed wrist rocket launcher, firing relatively tiny wrist rockets in sequential order. While not typically dangerous to vehicles, the wrist rockets can be particularly useful against heavily armored individuals and battle droids.
STRENGTHS
  • Superior Stopping Power (Missile Launcher): The single-shot nature of the TwinStar's missile tube means that it can fit larger ordnance that commensurately has a fairly heavy payload, and most fired warheads such as proton rockets or a GX-15 are capable of inflicting extremely heavy damage to starfighters, armored vehicles, and many fighting positions.
  • Excellent Range (Missile Launcher): The single-shot nature of the TwinStar means that it can fit larger ordnance that commensurately has a fairly large range, and most payloads have enough fuel to reach across most battlefields.
  • High Rate of Fire (Wrist Rocket Launcher): The "wrist rockets" used by the TwinStar can be rapidly fired thanks to their relatively small size and sequential loading, potentially allowing a user to shred apart an enemy squad of armored infantry or destroy a light vehicle in short order.
  • Good Ammunition capacity (Wrist Rocket Launcher): Compared to systems like the MM9, the TwinStar carries a fairly large number of wrist rockets.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low Ammunition Capacity (Missile Launcher): The TwinStar's missile tube only carries a single warhead.
  • Slow Reload (Missile Launcher): The TwinStar's missile tube takes some time to reload, as the warhead must be primed and then carefully placed into the tube so that the friction igniters can make contact with the priming fuses. This gives it a slow rate of fire compared to many modern designs.
  • Low Damage (Wrist Rocket Launcher): Wrist rockets typically are fairly weak compared to other rocket launchers, typically inflicting damage equivalent to that of a grenade or heavy blaster rifle.
  • Short Range (Wrist Rocket Launcher): Wrist rockets are fairly short-ranged weapons, with many varieties having a maximum range of 25 meters and with the longest known variety, the K26 antivehicle rocket, having a range equivalent to that of the optimal range of a blaster rifle.
DESCRIPTION
Missile launchers are a mainstay weapon of most modern militaries, providing a portable means of heavy firepower that allows the individual infantryman the ability to briefly tackle heavy targets like walkers, armored vehicles, and low-flying airspeeders starfighters. Lucerne Personal Defense's previous Shockwave Missile Launcher is more optimized for this latter anti-air with its ability to fire multiple small warheads quickly. With the advent of the Silver Jedi Concord fighting the Bryn'adul, it became apparent that there was need for a more powerful warhead and less electronically focused launcher optimized for ground to ground combat. To that end, Lucerne Personal Defense designed the TwinStar. It's main tube is significantly larger than the older Shockwave, and while it is only a single-shot weapon, it is capable of supporting significantly more powerful ordnance than its predecessor such as proton rockets and bunker-buster torpedoes. A smaller wrist rocket tube on top of the primary tube acts as an auxiliary weapon against smaller threats that the wielder might encounter, such as armored infantry or battle droids. But it also serves as adjunct weapon for the main tube in two ways. It can act as a spotting weapon in areas filled with ECM jamming for a way to help manually aim the primary tube. It can also act as a pre-emptive decoy, with the wrist rocket being fired a second or two over the main charge. In this way, active point defense systems may hit or jam the wrist rocket rather than the primary warhead. As with most Bryn'adul related weaponry, the TwinStar has been a priority in Lucerne Personal Defense's manufacturing facilities. Although thousands of been produced in a matter of days since the design was first approved, it seems likely to remain in consistent production for some time to come due to its versatility.

I have to say I don’t envy the Bryn’adûl if they have to face this weaponry, and I don’t want to face them on the battlefield either. I found one little bug.
  • For Wrist Rocket Launcher, you wrote "very high" instead of "very large" at Ammunition Capacity. Would you edit it?

If you fix this, I can accept the submission.
