GENERAL INFORMATION
- Unit Name: The 11th "Hell's Hammers" Confederate Armored Regiment
- Affiliation: The Confederacy of Independent Systems
- Classification: Armored-Mechanized Regiment
- Description:
The 11th Confederate Armored Regiment, commonly nicknamed the "Hell's Hammers," is amongst the most elite units that the Confederacy can call upon in times of great emergency and total war. It is a Heavy Armour spearhead, made up of hundreds of armored fighting vehicles backed up by highly mechanized infantry and support forces, designed to be the vanguard of a general advance. They are brute force incarnate, hammering their foes into submission with the roar of their battle cannons and crushing what remains under their treads. The Hell's Hammers strike with a swiftness that is often believed impossible with their heavy equipment, often advancing hundreds of kilometers a day even in the face of heavy oppositions and leaving a trail of destruction behind them.
- Unit Size: Medium
- Unit Availability: Uncommon
- Unit Experience: Veteran
- Equipment:
- AFVs
- IFVs and APCs
- Self Propelled Guns
- Command Vehicles
- Combat Function:
The 11th serves as the armored fist of the Confederacy. Where weakness is detected, they will apply overwhelming force to ensure a breakthrough. There are few defensive lines that can withstand the punishment of their guns and once that line is broken, hundreds of veteran tanks will flood through the gap while infantry closely follows behind them to widen the gap and execute any survivors left in their wake. With their high mechanization, they can cross hundreds of kilometers in a day at the drop of a hat, causing them to seem to appear out of nowhere like phantoms.
It is their tendency to be aggressive and bold that has carried them to victory time and time again. They boast an experienced officer corp that has been through countless battles and have been trained to act in perfect cohesion with comrades, yet to be independent to adapt to changing situations without input from high command. Their gunner crews are well-drilled able to maintain a horizontal deluge storm of lasers and steel against their foes. Their command structure, under the leadership of Colonel Suhara, can also be stated to be robust, exploiting weakness where they are found and meeting them with the doctrine of a Constant Offensive until their foes are reduced to a bloody pulp, never giving respite or rest.
However, this approach can have flaws. It is extremely easy for armored units to become over-stretched, stranded deep in enemy territory without support, and to be isolated and eventually destroyed. The tactic of the Constant Offensive is one that is impossible to maintain for the long term as the supply cost and armor losses for an attack without pause is extremely high, necessitating a rapid victory or at the very least halting on very favorable terms to rest and replace. A culture that has been encouraged for officers to exploit advantages where they see fit, even at the contradiction of their commanders, could lead to them making strategic mistakes as the lack of a view of a large picture or vital information.
Despite this, the 11th Hell's Hammers remains as the premier force to tear through enemy lines like a heated poker through the snow.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
In the youngest days of the Confederacy, as it started out as a collection of systems with the simple common goal of liberating the oppressed and downtrodden, the 11th was amongst some of the first Regiment formed in the name of the Vicelord. Fearing the beacon of righteous light blasting out of this burgeoning state, enemy nations on all sides besieged it and the 11th formed the tip of the spear that responded in kind. In the Great Galactic Wars, they fought desperately against the Galactic Empire
