KA SABUNTAAR - THE CARAGACHI COMMONWEALTH
The Caragachi Commonwealth is the government of the planet of Caragach, located in the southwestern fringe of the Unknown Regions. From the planetary capital of Gaci, the semi-democratic Commonwealth Congress rules over more than a billion sentient beings, guiding them on the path to prosperity. Caragach’s leadership united in one political alliance - an alliance that declares the supremacy of Caragach and champions efforts to transform the homeworld into a regional economic and eventually political hegemony.
Preaching respect for traditions and the guidance of a strong, secular, well-armed authority, the Caragachi Commonwealth is a natural ally to Imperial factions across the galaxy. However, Caragach stakes no claim on the Imperial legacy, nor does it seek to uncritically copy the work of past Empires. Instead, the Commonwealth bends Imperialism to suit its own needs, changing practices it views as outdated and adapting others to suit the unique conditions of Caragach. Furthermore, its armed forces make prolific use of nonhumans across all its branches while its fleets in particular resemble no Imperial fighting force ever assembled.
Caragach publicly disavows aggressive conquest, pursuing a policy of economic rather than military domination. Much like a megacorporation, the Enclave seeks to funnel the resources of its neighbors into itself with the ultimate goal of transforming Caragach into the political and economic center of the Unknown Regions. Nonetheless, Caragach is unafraid to deploy its armies and fleets to strike preemptively at its competitors for dominance of the Unknown Regions, or to acquire highly valuable resources it does not possess.
