3 Years, 11 Months, and 13 Days.

That's how long the Sith Empire (TSE) lasted.

It was formed on July 17th, 2017.

It ended today, June 29th, 2021.

1444 days.

The Sith Empire was one of the greatest factions I ever had the privilege to not only lead but simply be a member of.

When I helped form TSE back in 2017, I always had that nagging thought in the back of my mind that one day, this great community, this amazing experiment, would come to its conclusion. And there were times where I let that thought get hold of my better judgment, and I made mistakes along the way, I acted in a manner that was unbecoming of someone of my veterancy on Chaos and of my position as a leader of the community. I was attached, I was invested. But, looking back on the long and storied life of TSE, the ups, the downs, the victories, and the defeats; I can confidently say that it was an amazing ride all the way.

Just shy of four years is a long time for a faction to exist, and now the Silver Jedi and the Confederacy will soon be alone on the podium of longest living factions. I kept a record of how long the two largest Sith factions before TSE came about lasted. The One Sith, the immediate predecessor to TSE, went major on June 6th, 2014. It went minor on October 2nd, 2016. That's 850 days. 2 Years, 3 Months, and 27 Days. The Sith Empire, the OG TSE, went major on February 19th, 2013 (the first faction to go major, mind you), and went minor on March 15th, 2014. OG TSE lasted 390 days. 1 Year and 25 Days.

I think it's quite inspiring to see these big Sith factions, the biggest and most influential in Chaos' history, progressively outdo the previous faction in terms of longevity.

I want to mention the past leaders of TSE, besides myself, for their help in making TSE what it was and what it will be remembered as.

Tirdarius, Beth, Braith, Prazutis, Shaper, and, last but not least, Cricket.

And, most importantly, a massive thanks to the community from beginning to end. TSE was nothing without its loyal memberbase to keep it going for as long as it did, and they deserve all the praise in the world.

So raise a glass to TSE, and to all the Sith factions of the past and of the future.
