Just in:

The House of Organa has lost the throne of Alderaan. We've received conflicting reports, with some claiming that they abdicated willingly in the face of recent democratic movements, and others saying they were forcibly ousted by one or more rival houses. With the planet now being pulled deeper into Sith territory, it is unsure how verifiable many of the recent claims have been about these turbulent current events. Though there has been controversy, the Organas have enjoyed many decades of peaceful and prosperous rule over their homeworld.

Over the last several years, Amani Serys-Organa, Queen by marriage, has led Alderaan in the absence of her husband, King Alicio Organa. Though her authority was subject to skepticism by Alderaan's nativist circles, her time on the throne was still largely popular, and marked by concentrated efforts to establish Alderaan's continued safety and independence in the face of growing galactic tensions.

Alicio Organa, who was also former Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Alliance, had been attacked and left MIA in the months prior to the GA's dissolution. He just recently made a triumphant return to his homeworld, an event which was marked with much celebration, but likewise, skepticism. Alicio's peacetime policies and smart welfare programs earned him much goodwill on the galactic stage, and love from his people as a flagbearer for Alderaanian ideals.

Liana Organa, the Princess, has recently made a name for herself as the world's junior ambassador to the High Republic. Her efforts hinted at the growth of a promising political mind, and earned the respect of the Republic senate. They had made a motion to integrate Alderaan into their space before its abrupt and unfortunate absorption into the Covenant.

August Organa, the Prince, has been the most private of the royal family. His early youth matched that of his twin sister, but most recent reports have indicated that he has been following Jedi training, whereas his sister discontinued her training a few years ago. He was seen to be on Alderaan at the time of his father's arrival, and the subsequent celebration.

The Organas have been followed out of Alderaanian space by a wave of supporters and apparent asylum-seekers. Some have already found their way in Republic space, while others may be spreading to more independent corners of the galaxy. This Alderaanian diaspora comes as no surprise, given the planet's tragic history at the hands of previous Sith empires. The royal family themselves have yet to be accounted for, and there is no clear word on their intentions going forward. For now can only hope that House Organa is safe, and will one day make a grand return to their home, and the galaxy at large...
