The Bounty Hunter's Code

THE BOUNTY HUNTER'S CODE

The Bounty Hunter's Code instructs licensed Bounty Hunter's of their abilities and expected Code of Conduct.
  • At any point, a licensed Bounty Hunter may pursue the target of a posted Bounty in the Bounty Board into any PvE/PvP Thread (Dominions, Junctions, Invasions, etc.) in the Star Wars: Open Role-playing Forum.

  • If the target of a posted Bounty is a player-owned character, that character must have their Bounty Toggle on for the entire duration of the thread.

  • At any time a Bounty Toggle is turned off, that target is not eligible to be pursued and the licensed Bounty Hunter must abandon the Bounty.

  • Upon entering a PvE/PvP Role-play thread, a Bounty Hunter must link the posted Bounty Board's Bounty they are pursuing somewhere in their initial post.
OOC PROTECTIONS AGAINST BOUNTY HUNTER ABUSE
  • The SWRP Staff Team has the ability to revoke Bounty Hunter's Licenses. Once a License is revoked, it may not be reinstated without opening a report with the SWRP Staff Team to discuss it.

  • If a character has a license revoked, all other characters of the writer will be considered revoked as well.

  • The SWRP Staff Team can consider and escalate any situation they deem not a violation of the License, but a violation of the SWRP General Rules. It is incredibly important that Bounty Hunters be aware of all rules regarding their profession.

  • If a Bounty Hunter is not actively pursuing their Bounty or has no reason for being in the thread (ie, assisting an invasion under the guise of bounty hunting), they may be reported to the SWRP Staff Team.

OOC PROTECTIONS FOR LICENSED BOUNTY HUNTERS
  • If a Bounty Hunter notices continued abuse of the Bounty Toggle or continued inability to claim Bounties due to the abuse of the Bounty Toggle, the licensed Bounty Hunter must report it to the SWRP Staff Team if unable to resolve it themselves.

  • If a Bounty Hunter is asked to leave a thread but feels they are within good standing with the Bounty Hunter's Code, they may report the thread they are pursuing their Bounty into and appeal their case to the SWRP Staff Team.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Bounty Hunters have the unique ability to move through threads other characters cannot to pursue Bounties. Because of this, licensed Bounty Hunter characters are held to a high standard and held as good ambassadors of SWRP Chaos Role-play.

  • STORY - Please remember this is not a game, you are writing a story. Please do your best to remember your role in the story you have walked into - you are a licensed Bounty Hunter, pursuing a Bounty, following along the story set by the authors of the thread. Immerse yourself and try not derail the entirety of the thread's occupants from their own goals.

  • REPRESENTATION - You are representing the roleplay community of Chaos, both In Character and Out Of Character. While this is true of the majority of the community, you have the capability to walk in and out of any thread in the SWRP Open Role-playing forum. Some of these writers may be new to the community. Try to read the room - is now a good time to pursue this bounty? Even if you're completely legal in your actions, not all situations are worth advancing in.

  • EFFORT - Low Effort Roleplay demonstrated by licensed Bounty Hunters WILL lead to a license revocation. Bounty Hunting in this manner should not be pursued by members new to roleplay, or unable to conform to the high standards this document sets forth. Learn how to roleplay first, then you can learn how to Bounty Hunt. Licensed Bounty Hunters may be reported to the SWRP Staff Team for Low Effort Roleplay.

CLAIMING BOUNTIES

Once a Bounty has been completed, a licensed Bounty Hunter may post their claim for reward to the Bounty Claim Thread. If eligible for reward, the Bounty Poster must post payment to the Bounty Hunter. If the Bounty Poster is unable or unwilling to pay, they may be reported by the licensed Bounty Hunter to the SWRP Staff Team for compensation. The SWRP Staff Team does not guarantee full compensation.

Bounty Posters with a continued behavior of posting bounties and not posting rewards will be banned from the Bounty Board.
