Chapter I: The Red Coronation

(This is the part where I desperately try to make my 2019 writing less edgy)

Originally born "Cody Jjota", Aloy was born in 838 ABY on the mining world Concordia, Mandalore's moon. Her father was Karris Jjota, Alor of Clan Jjota and a rebel and veteran of the Mandalorian Resource Wars. Her mother, Jordis Kryze, Had also fought in the later stages of the conflict, Though she was slightly younger, And took the stars as a pirate captain before meeting Karris.

Aloy rarely saw her parents, Who were often busy with mandalorian politics or managing their criminal connections on the edges of mandalorian space, Selling weapons on the black market, As the clan had done for centuries.
She was, For the most part, Raised by her mother's warriors, Who taught her how to fly with a jetpack or dispatch foes with pistol.
When she wasn't training, She spent her time in the
Cin'Vode playing with the war-smith's foundling, Her sister Jira, Or the family pet; A strill named "Sabbath" who had protected her mother since before Aloy was born, Having formed a natural bond with both women through the specie's natural maternal instincts.

Aloy remained blissfully unaware of the political climate that ate away at her parents, But she will always remember when they announced the events of "The Red Coronation" to the clan.
Tensions ran high as the clan's ancient loyalty to House Vizsla, A loyalty continued since the
mandalorian wars, Came into conflict with their adherence to the Resol'nare and thus loyalty to the newly christened Mand'alor the Infernal, Yasha Cadera.

Having witnessed the horrors of a mandalorian civil war during the resource wars, Karris Jjota sought to prevent another civil war, By winning it before it began.
The loyalists marched with
orders to purge Clan Jjota of House Vizsla supporters, Thus preventing Clan Jjota from being labeled traitors in Karris' mind.
The battle droid cohort that had been gifted to Clan Jjota during the clone wars was activated for the first time in hundreds of years, And so began the fall the Clan Jjota.

Having been told of his plans, Jordis secretly prepared the House Vizsla supporting faction within clan Jjota, And when Karris struck, The halls of the Cin'Vode erupted in chaotic battle amidst the clan's civil war.
Aloy had not chosen a side, Refusing to fight her own people when the battle began. So she watched helplessly as her people slaughtered each other.

The battle progressed ever downward through the Cin'vode as Jordis and her warriors pushed towards the throne room to confront Karris with the hope to capture him and place her as acting Alor of the clan.

When they finally carved their way into the throne room through hordes of battle droids, Karris flew into rage at the discovery of his wife's betrayal. In this berserk state, He and his bodyguards fought to the last man, Until only he and Jordis remained.

They fought for some time until Jordis' hand was severed by Karris'
energy-beskad, And Karris moved in for the kill.
All three were in shock to see Aloy intercept the blow with her
whipcord launcher, Disarming her father and wielding the energized blade herself.

Enraged at the betrayal of both his wife and now eldest child, Karris executed Jordis with a blaster pistol and engaged Aloy with pistol and knife, Declaring her a traitor and Dar'manda.
He and Aloy fought amidst the ruins for hours until the exhausted Aloy could no longer keep her distance or hope to capture Karris, And instead resorted to her gauntlet flamer to blind him before killing Karris with his own energized beskad.

Unable to locate her younger sister and fearing perceived retribution from Mand'alor the Infernal, Aloy fled the mandalore sector in self imposed exile, Beginning her career as small time bounty hunter at the age of 15.

Chaptar 2: The Mentor

After fleeing the aftermath of civil war, Aloy hired herself out as a mercenary and bounty hunter of little repute, Going by the name "Joti Johayc".
She worked for The Bounty Hunter's Guild since she was 15, Using her
salvaged armor to conceal her age, Fearing that outsiders wouldn't understand the idea of women fighting so young, Unlike mandalorians.

When she had come of age however, She began using her money to buy
Death Sticks and to fund a series of re-constructional surgeries and bio-implants whenever her impending addiction wasn't consuming all of her credits. She lived like this for some time, Bouncing around the outer rim territories from one contract to the next in order to both survive and feed her addiction.

Years after her addiction started, She became indebted to the "red rancor gang" from
Batuu. The gang told her that if she completed a difficult task for them, Than her debts would be cancelled. She was sent to rescue Batuu's bounty hunter guild agent, Tarken Tarask, From a pirate's compound on the far side of the Destra, One of Batuu's moons.

Aloy was sent alone on what was thought to be a suicide mission, But found an ally in
Vash, An Ubesian bounty hunter and business associate of Tarken Tarask. Though initially skeptical, Vash was impressed by Aloy's tenacity, Seeing herself in the young mandalorian, And the two formed an alliance, Rescuing Tarken Tarask and returning him to the guild outpost in Black Spire outpost. Tarken remains friends with Aloy to this day, And she still visits his Cantina("The Spires") on Batuu.
After getting to know her better, Vash took Aloy in as a student and bounty hunting partner, Teaching her the ways of a gunslinger and the ins and outs of the bounty hunting business, Becoming something of a mother figure to Aloy.

The two traveled together as a bounty hunting team for a few years and though there were many trials and tribulations, Vash weaned Aloy off of death sticks and cured her of the addiction.

In 856 ABY, Vash's clan were all slain by a rogue jedi turned to the darkside, And the enraged Vash vowed revenge. She and Aloy combed the galaxy far and wide until they confronted him aboard an orbital construction facility above
Raxus Prime.
Vash was flung from an airlock during the engagement and believed dead when Aloy retrieved the Ubesian's body, Taking Vash's mask to remember her by.
Aloy then wore it in the final confrontation with the rogue jedi, Disintegrating him with a disruptor rifle.

With the orbital facility damaged and running out of time, Aloy fled with Vash's mask and later incorporated it into her own helmet, Taking what Vash had taught her and using those skills to further her bounty hunting career.

Chapter 3: Red & Blue

(Beginning of In play history)

Mandalore had been sundered by the sith sometime prior, Systematically killing mandalorians in the millions. Aloy was one of the lucky survivors who had been away at the time, And continued to hunt bounties outside the sector. There was only one rule Aloy abided, One shining moral etched into her darkening heart:

She would never hunt a mandalorian.

The Red Rancor gang hired her and a team of their own bounty hunters to pursue a target on the planet
Abafar, Though they did not inform Aloy of who, Just that they would approach the location and capture the target.

The target was none other than
Darsch Vizsla, An Ex-Death Watch member who was once loyal to Mand'alor the Infernal despite the red coronation.
When Aloy caught site of her mandalorian armour, She demanded the right to parley with her rather than resort to violence, And began negotiations with the Vizsla.

Seeing Darch mourning the loss of her partner, Killed by bounty hunters for their assassinations of sith warlords, Aloy became guilt stricken and sided with Darsch Vizsla, Turning on the bounty hunters in what quickly became a two-woman massacre.

Rather than parting ways, The two mandalorians joined forced and became the bounty hunting duo known as "Red & Blue" on account of their armor, Having a somewhat successful career after.
Their adventures took them all across the outer rim territories, And the two developed feelings for one another. Aloy however, Was too afraid to ever say.

This came at a price when their adventures took them to the planet
Krieg on the eve of it's Queen's coronation.
For Darsch Vizsla, It was love at first sight, And when offered a place among the Queen's warriors, She quickly set aside her bounty hunting career.

Jealous and unable to bear this new dynamic, Aloy set out on her own, Returning to an uneventful bounty hunting career.

Years past and Aloy met
Tan'yill, A rutian twi'lek and kindred spirit that would change her life forever.
They met on the job while assassinating a rogue black sun agent on Ord Centrell. Tan'yill and Aloy both used their old bounty hunting names from partnerships prior, Which just so happened to be "Red & Blue" respectively, Drawing the two in immediately. Tan'yill being high and naturally mischievous in that state was having fun flirting with and teasing the mandalorian, Who responded in kind as she enjoyed the dynamic. They made fast friends that day.

But with the threat of betrayal from their own employer, The two were forced to gamble with their lives and put complete trust in one another. Neither would disappoint.

They continued working together after that, Eventually finding themselves on
Felucia while hunting another rogue criminal. They became stranded when the remnants of the red rancor gang found and destroyed Aloy's ship. Tan'yill and Aloy traveled through the jungle for many days, Fighting bounty hunters, Natives and Rancor alike, But it was the calm within a cave of fireflies that Aloy remembers best, Where she first truly realized her feelings for the Twi'lek.

She was later wounded while fighting a Rancor, And it came to Tan'yill to finish the beast using Aloy's jetpack missile.

After fighting their way off world, Aloy confessed her love for Tan'yill, And they have been together ever since.
