Tame Impala, which I discovered recently, creates music in a way that makes it seem like it's mimicking the newer music by RHCP, or RHCP is mimicking them. They have a very similar style, but tame impala seems to be "more original" and just sounds more fluid, creating a funk-rock-alternative style that really impresses me. I'm not typically into softer rock, but Tame Impala has changed my mind a bit with their great sounding music, nearly completely unique style and charming vocals.
