Sterile, white, black rifle in hand. Stormtroopers, loyal to Humbarine’s imperial governor, marched through the streets. Shops shuttered; dissidents are arrested to be made an example of. The whole world locked down before night fell in the capital. The soldiers didn’t question it. They obeyed their stalwart commanders. Officers whose cold rhetoric and unfettered emptiness reminded them of one thing - their humanity is gone when they put on the helmet. They accepted orders without question; they obeyed. And they obeyed because that’s what good soldiers do.
