Recently, an attack was reported on the headquarters for the New Cov Biomolecule Company on Ilic, where critical research is ongoing. The extent of the damage recorded is currently unclear, but it has been reported that multiple people were injured.
“I strongly condemn the senseless and violent strike by Sith raiders on Ilic,” Hakon said. “Scientific research is paramount to the progress of The High Republic and society. These attacks have no place anywhere in the galaxy and I call on the Sith to immediately cease their violent activities. I will do everything in my power to support the people of Ilic during these trying times. May the force be with the people of Ilic and all those courageously defending our galaxy.”
Hakon reached out to emergency management organizations within The High Republic and encouraged them to rapidly disperse humanitarian aid to the people of Ilic as soon as possible. He also urged the Republic Senate to explore providing the New Cov Biomolecule Company with emergency funding to insure that the company’s vital research is not hampered by this tragic incident.
